Forget Saturn. You have to save the 32X. You can cancel or delay the CD or Saturn but not axe this hunk of shit addon. You have access to a time machine, and so all modern ports/fan projects like SRB32X, OpenLara, etc. & modern development tools.

Make it a standalone console with Genesis backwards compatibility and sell it for $149-$249. It still flops and it doesn't save Sega, but now it has a slightly larger install base and is remembered much more fondly.

That's basically what the Neptune was supposed to be. If they had just gone with this instead and included maybe the 6pak game and Virtua Fighter for $200 it would have done decently.

Make the neptune instead, just imagine how much more powerful it could of been if it was using both the components of the Mega CD and 32x, we've actually seen this nowadays with Doom and now the potential porting of Sonic Robo Blast.

That's fairly easy-mode if you get to cancel the Sega CD. AFAIK the only reason it even had the mushroom style add-on instead of using the Genesis's expansion port was because the expansion port was already occupied by the CD. If we get to cancel the Sega CD, then the 32X gets to take that spot (literally and metaphorically) and you get a suped-up 32X/CD combo add-on. Release that and delay the Saturn until 1996. Also release all-in-one combo units (ie neptune) for people that don't already own a genesis.
Half the mistake Sega made in the mid 90s was killing off the Genesis. It was still popular and going strong, but support was killed off in favor of the Saturn.

Theese.
I personally think SEGA had a better chance against the PS1 and N64 with the Neptune instead of the Saturn.

You weren't going to save it. It was a half step...maybe a quarter step forward when gaming was on the verge of taking a gigantic leap.
That being said I fucking LOVE the idea of a 32-bit cartridge based system. I daydream about what a 32-bit sprite based Mario Final Fantasy or whatever would look like.

Realistically it couldn't have been done.
32x launched in November 1994 for $160. PSX in December 94 in Japan (with Ridge Racer) and $300 US price announced in May 1995.
There was no way 32x was gonna sell.
With the time machine though: you go to Epstein's Island and jerk off his deformed mushroom dick with one hand and Trump's deformed mushroom dick with the other. And you get Trump to bundle 3% discount coupons on 32x with his world famous Trump's Steaks. And you get Epstein to promise that the jews will sabotage Sony in the US, which is good for (((them))), because you'll keep making Sonic furry slop on 32x, which will turn everyone into a retarded autist tranny.

Make it into a standalone console that would be to Genesis what Master System was to SG-1000, a backwards compatible intra-generation upgrade. I still don't think it would have fared any good in 1994, that's too late. Mid 1993, maybe.
