Ninja Gaiden 1 made a huge deal out of the cutscenes, but for 2 and 3 they chose normal gameplay screens for the back of their boxes.

Not many NES games actually had cutscenes, and nowhere near the same volume or quality as the NG trilogy did. A lot of the time you were lucky if you got both an opening and an ending sequence.
