Yeah okami is quite a charming game ,very funny,creative and with a great art direction

But the game has a tons of problems,the combats are very bad (very surprising since it's a Kamiya game) and the game is way too long (there is 2 false ending and you fight Orochi 3 times WTF)

everything people say is bad about okami is true but it literally, unironically doesnt matter when its STILL the most beautiful game ever made. the gameplay is good enough, its not the appeal, the appeal is exploring a gorgeous ukiyo-e or japanese watercolor come to life. its like JSRF, yeah the gameplay really isnt that amazing but who gives a fuck, the appeal is bitching tunes and exploring a beautifully realized unique urban setting. not every game in the world has to be LE TIGHT AND DENSE GAMEPLAY PERFECTION to be enjoyable. however I will say the insanely slow text that cant be skipped, the extended intro, and recycling long annoying boss fights is really fucking shit game design.

and if were purely discussing gameplay, twilight princess is not any better, AND it looks like fucking trash to boot. at least wind waker is like okami where the visual beauty and novelty helps cover its weaknesses.
