It is confirmed NOT Mario for Donkey Kong, anon. In DK he is Jump Man and was later renamed Mario in Donkey Kong Jr., and finally later re-re-named Mario again for some DK re-releases.

02/03/26(Tue)11:05:28 No.12361490 In retrospect it's crazy that Nintendo just let Rare mess with the canon of their most classic game and characters with their British meta bullshit. I think nowadays they don't acknowledge it anymore, it's not outright retconned but from what I understand it wouldn't make sense with the story of DK Bananza.

it makes perfect sense to have a villain step aside for a heroic series and have dk jr take up the mantle, those little nudges within the existing source material are what separates something from a cardboard cutout copyright like micky mouse.

gorilla development is pretty similar to humans, they enter their physical prime in their 20s and it lasts roughly 10 to 15 years, they just have a very rapid short elderly period.
