02/03/26(Tue)14:53:17 No.12361972 Why didn't David Wise compose the OST?
Hell, what was Wise even doing during Rares N64 days? As far as I know, he just did Diddy Kong Racing then didn't do shit for years - He was employed at Rare until at least 2008

>Why didn't David Wise compose the OST?
It was more like a Banjo game.
>Hell, what was Wise even doing during Rares N64 days?
Some GameBoy stuff like Mickey's Racing Adventure and the cancelled Dinosaur Planet.

A better question is why didn't he do DKC3?
I wonder if he just ran out of juice after DKC2's big 10/10 soundtrack.

I like his music but people are overly obsessed with David Wise. It's sad how they removed Eveline Fischer's music from DKC3 in the GBA port because people are so obsessed with David Wise.

He was wise enough to know Donkey Kong 64 wasn't going to age well

It was fun if you wanted to feel "immersed" in the world of DKC but it's hard to come back without that same desire today

02/04/26(Wed)19:56:29 No.12364901 truly, david wise's music turned these silly ass monkey games into something beautiful.
kirkhope is good but he couldn't recreate the same feeling in DK64, also his race music is infuriating.

You can play DKC 1-3 just fine with it muted.

02/06/26(Fri)07:40:22 No.12367840 sometimes i close my eyes trying to sleep
and the music of angry aztec begins playing in my head
i hear the kongs vocalizing. tonight, it's chunky.
i see them explore the level. familiar exteriors and interiors. eyched into my memory, intruding my thoughts.
a little kong adventure in my mind.

They removed it because it was too bass-heavy for the GBA's shitty speakers.

02/06/26(Fri)10:17:01 No.12367964 Robin Beanland was the most underrated Rare music guy. Better than Kirkhope definitely.
