Mechanics wise, they get better with each installment.

it hoenstly made me appreciate disgaea 5 genericness. bland and forgettable its characters were, at least they tried to felsh them out outside the combat scenarios. the jokes werent funny but they werent awful like the worst of fuukas sthick. or Nemos entire character, which wasn't intended to be a joke, but might as well be.
