What's the best way to play FF3 these days? The DS remake or the Pixel Remaster?

I found the ds remake to be trash. Maybe the pixel remake is better.

Pixel Remaster if it's your first time, DS for your second.

The 3D remake on PSP became one of my favorite FFs by surprise

Emulate the original game on NESticle. What kind of question even is this?

Learn Japanese and play it on ORIGINAL HARDWARE with a CRT or you are WRONG.

The fact this wasn't the first answer is kind of insane.

Depends on what you want
>Original gameplay, not too difficult, not too easy jobs being tier-advances, wanting to appreciate what the NES is capable of
Original
>Want something harder, more balanced jobs, SLIGHTLY more plot, don't mind if it's slower-paced
3D
>Want something easy, something fast, job balance somewhere in the middle
PR.
Personally I'd go with what >>3920775 said, except with NES instead of PR.

To be fair I always go for original release too, but I know not everyone really wants that experience now.

The worst part is, FF3 is in the top three for music in the series , along with 7 and 10, and these poor kids playing the ports and remakes and shit are missing out on it. Example, the other versions of the game did dirty this absolute gem:

DQ3 isn't really that good of a game but objectively the best way to play it is through the OG NES experience.

True, but every release of III (that aren't ports of 3D) is different enough to experience in my eyes. DS is a very different beast and despite what SE may tell you, some of its changes made it into the PR.
