>>3978146 >Also I’m not the Usual Threads Maker, I made it since a guy on another thread asked that someone make a new thread That's the thread equivalent to being an adopted child.
>>3978166 One of two things happened to the denizens of Leaf's gardens after it broke apart in ending D of BS1. Either a) they fell down to Wonderland or b) they got snatched up by Mabel to be put into her Shatranj (Chaos Dungeon).
>>3978146 Oh, okay. I actually haven't been to the threads lately and just saw the zip file as I'm decluttering my files. The coincidence of this thread, thought it was still on /vg/ or /jp/ or wherever the fuck then I rememebred seeing a thread on /vrpg/ before. >>3978147 yea? nice.
What do you guys think about potential surrealist influences on EMMM? I read https://www.pointnthink.fr/en/the-art-of-clair-obscur-expedition-33/ and it got me thinking about what could've inspired EMMM visually. It's clear that EMMM is very well-read and we can trace his western literary influences/references pretty well, but what about painting and design? Pic rel is by Beksinski.
one of you has requested that i return for a visit, and here i am as promised. so Ia Ia everyone, hope things aren't too Grim right now. forgive me if my writing is a bit unstable, I'm a little psychotic right now. Concerning lack of Spoiler walls, all things given. Shamefur first impressions
>>3980231 glad to hear i fulfilled my knightly oath. i'll visit try to visit at sundays during my alice threads if i have the spare time. >Right before I get on my flight anon, i might have some terrible news if this new virus isn't a nothingburger...
>>3980583 true, pharaoh nyar is just my ideal nyar. also was referencing that one image of moot that comes to mind when i think of tco. id make a drawing/edit but i dont want a 3dpd image of a man dressed like a little girl on my computer
I'm getting a very bad omen that i simply cannot shake off. something is about to arrive soon and i don't know what, but i believe it was hinted to me from the first dream i had this year.
>came to the conclusion that unis with her unseen horses is the hardest boss fight in the game >found out later it can be steamrolled with spiritual unity+divine beast thunder eventually the fights become so easy to trivialize... thinking of trying an SL1 run. what are the rules again?
>>3981380 No levelling, no coloured souls, no pocket watches, and then varying degrees of not using the more overtly broken stuff like Requiem, chaos blast*, spiritual unity, snake blood, GA, other CD spells, and so on. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. *on crit-able enemies it enables a guaranteed 1HKO because haha percentage based damage still benefits from multipliers if it's classified as elemental, and even aside from that it's kinda way too good. >pic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asHJtVUl80Q
>>3981416 >and then varying degrees of not using the more overtly broken stuff like Requiem, chaos blast*, spiritual unity, snake blood, GA, other CD spells, and so on. this feels like it was added on after the fact hell even the pocket watch rule was an addition since the first sl runs were in 1 not 2
>>3981380 >what are the rules again? Do not level up, do not use colored souls. The stats you have at the beginning of the game are your stats. Period.
>>3981380 These are forbidden by default for a legitimate SL1: leveling, permanent stat up items, Requiem, Spiritual Unity, and the trio of cheese items (Pocket Watches, Snake Blood, Star Fluid). Many people add a few of the other restrictions, but you can do whatever you want; it's mostly an honor system. For instance, I don't see anyone listing Throwing Knives, and yet you could cheese almost all fights with it just like you'd normally do with Watches.
>>3981820 Many thanks. Speaking of which, last time that was shared ITT the anon who did so also accompanied it with Lewis's Faces in the Fire poem. However the version he posted is not the more commonly found one, although it is present in some websites in the form he posted. Chiefly the portion about the girl as a mother is in only one of the two. Is anyone able to verify that both versions did exist in Lewis's published works and if the change happened between the first time it was published in 1860 and when it was published again in 1869?
>>3981416 >>3981653 well, fuck you, how was i supposed to beat the butcher and jubjub then? i've been refraining fron using it since i got the kishingatana and black goat ring
>>3981915 Aside from Resurrectionist being basically a mandatory ring for some portions of the game, anything that's a single hit can be lived through with grit. Also if you really want to get down to it there's some insane optimization you can do with weaponswaps. Also guarding with soul shield legitimately gives you so much damage reduction.
>>3981899 JubJub is after Goat ring so you can easily defeat her in a straightforward manner. The Butcher is annoying boss because he guards the candies for Goat and has decent stats, though there are a lot of ways to do the fight cleanly. This is one of the few early encounters where speedmaxing is not ideal by default, but Node's covenant plus good rings let you tank him. The cock&friends summon does excellent damage to him if you give it a Mead, though in that case you have to be fast enough to heal it up before the boss. If you can live through his rage attack, Andor+5 and weaponswapping into it for last action also works. And if all else fails, sleep+poison with high Speed+Luck should be doable but painful, though I didn't try it. And you can just hope to get lucky with aggro on the summon, which is a dumb 'strategy', but it works fairly quickly. There's a practically infinite number of things you can do to beat the bosses in this game.
>>3981945 It's been several months since I did that fight, but I'm like 95% sure his rage attack multihits.
>>3981416 percentage damage as a whole is a meme. even with those restrictions, black wave+hammer for instance is ridiculous. wanna use kaizer knuckles and beasthunter saw as primary damage buffer and dealer tools. i assume immortality stuff being disallowed means guardian angel is also banned? doesnt seem like a big problem with guard being as strong as it is >>3981621 >>3981653 i see. the plan is to beat most bosses in the game including the cd ones and leiden and unis before making the decision to join either. curious how the edith and onimusha fights are gonna go
>>3981951 Most people I've seen ban black wave too, if you even bother to get it. CD grinding is annoying enough as it is. >guardian angel I'd assume so except for the owl, but you get it so late it barely matters for most of the game. >onimusha Might be the case that you actually take into account her attacks all being a specific damage type.
>>3981951 >>3982104 Onimusha is highly dependent on when you do AR. She's easy with a certain DLC3 upgrade that enables you to use spells. But if you're pre-DLC3 and still rocking the Goats as your base, it will hurt a lot. Remember that you don't get to use items there. I wasn't able to clear Ashes in a couple attempts pre-DLC3, but it was very easy afterwards.
>>3982104 Guardian Angle is not even that good for SL1. It's the best armor in a normal, blind gameplay, but losing all buffs means that you're often dying next turn on most lategame bosses at SL1. Sometimes it does save you, but the remaining fights are better approached with specific gear turned to that encounter rather than a hail mary dice roll. Aside from the Owl3 fight.
>>3982108 >It's the best armor in a normal, blind gameplay Debatable with how good some of them are, and definitely not true once you exclude the blind part. I think Rainment and the high evasion one are the go-tos most of the time, or Sun for raw damage, but I may be forgetting some.
>>3982281 >? Toro is a known self admitted fan of western horror movies and some DRH screenshots show a clear Jason reference, and there may be stuff already in BS too. One of his more recent posts was about the new Final Destination IIRC.
>>3982293 i know, just dont think the entire friday series is required viewing to understand that hockey masked character considering how absurd the later entries got. movies 1-4 or 1-7 are the ones id consider required watches to understand jason voorhees conceptually.
>>3982322 You can play Red Hood's Woods if you haven't yet. BS1 and BS2 were both ported to Steam with slight translation improvements and uncensored art. A BS-inspired game came out but has not been translated yet afaik. Toro said Dead Red Hood is coming out this year.
>>3982317 its not really a big deal. complete series suggests the films after part 8 must be watched to understand whatever's gonna happen in drh and i cant imagine toro sincerely putting in references to any of the later movies. theyre just too irrelevant to the previous ones and actually insane
Oh shit just noticed the cards are in stock again. Also fuck Buyee for forcing me to pay in USD and pocketing an extra dollar from the currency conversion.
>>3983173 >grim sees girl escape the prison somehow >"mmm thats weird, dont let me question it any further and just let me put her back inside again" is he retarded?
>>3983405 Good luck anon. This thread can be a bit spoilery for 1 (and for 2 sometimes) so be careful, but it is probably best to have you post here and not in the NGO threads. Also just in case you'd missed this: >>>/a/288010158 >>3983413 I need to replay BS1 soon. I got nostalgic when I happened to listen to that track again. Kind of an underrated one, though I understand why Name, Alice steals the spotlight as moody BS1 track.
Update since then, killed gretel and hansel, the dog chimera thing and just killed the rotten burg king, leaf is the goat holy shit she carried me through the boss fights easily. Now I brought the maid with me, already gave her 10k souls >>3983421 Yeah, I posted on the ngo thread since it slowed down and it's likely going to be archived soon but I rather not keeping so off-topic there >Also just in case you'd missed this I saved the link and screenshot the post but thank you anon!
>>3983797 Changing the font messes up some specific formatting changes they made because of the new font, pirate the dlsite version if it bothers you that much
>>3983797 I don't think BS1 had soundtrack changes, did it? >>3983804 >So you're better off doing a image swap to the DLsite version instead? No because the Steam versions have a slightly better translation.
>>3983835 using spoilers is an sign of civility, and when you abandon your civil duties you become the online equivalent to what the world is today. a cesspit of upmost degeneracy forever cannibalizing its own tail.
>>3983839 and besides, only niggercattle care about "relevancy". and everything relevant today is so deceptively decrepit twisted and corrupt to the core to the point deserves no less than to be tossed into the deepest bowels of oblivion and left to wither away into nothing.
>>3983835 >>3983843 Funny enough yeah, I heard about the name like once or twice but that's about it an anon sold me on /a/ by mentioning how you can kill a fairy by cumflation as my first sex scene so I started playing yesterday. Ironically I didn't find that scene as of yet, nor I did any rape at all despite my love for degeneracy (ignore the fact that's the first thing I tried with leaf)
>>3983943 I don't think there's any harm in getting one more, though I think they also drop in the CD. If you're wearing one you might as well wear more than one anyway most of the time. >conflagration and absolute precision The first one's a fairly standard damaging spell IIRC, nothing overtly particularly strong or banworthy about it. AP you could forbid yourself from using if you wanted to for the sake of the challenge but honestly it's just a really big QoL most of the time and I don't think I've ever seen anyone list it as not allowed.
>>3983943 It's a little boring, but all the way until DLC3, your "optimal" braindead ring setup for most fights is probably 4 Goats, or 3 Goats + 1 anti-instakill ring for fights where that applies. Seconding the other anon, I've never seen anyone ban AP. People don't seem to ever ban any offensive buffs aside from Black Wave, and some of the best weapons/spells have the AP effect built-in.
>>3983943 spells and equipment should not ever be limited, and I'll die on this hill especially since whatever people consider OP, enemies can either negate them (requiem), ignore them(usually a single status immunity, not too bad), or literally do the same thing back to you (go find the vid of the guy who got chain stun locked by the orcs lmao)
>>3984469 not bad... but no, fuck dragons! give me another character to write a poem who isn't a dragon or a demonbeast. i will deliver that poem with my upmost competence.
>>3983154 sometimes, I really wish I had the artistic skills to bake a Unis rapege with 20+ different scenes of you violentely correcting her into a proper housewife/slave saved good work
ah, i can't remember rabbit bro's name. what a helpless dodo i am. >>3984866 how did you get mémé and node together for longer than 0.25 seconds without them chewing each other's throats out?
Since the thread seems schizophrenic enough, I'd just like to say that playing Nigger Spirits and reading Tommy P. permanently destroyed my ability to interact with fiction normally.
>>3984468 >no way fag! anyone but him. fug u when he gets turned into an anime girl in BS3 and has the best H scene in the game (it is 8 H progressively more degenerate scenes in one sequence) you are banned

>>3985481 when i say "fuck dragons" i mean it both figuratively and sometimes literally in the case of jabby. but a true knight must hate dragons, that is simply a rule of being a knight.
>>3985489 what? Hell no! just because I'd fuck a dragon does not mean I'd want a dragon! there is nothing more of any kind at play. i just like big boobies and crazy bitches who can kill me, that's all.

>>3985494 >>3985495 Thanks! I think I should make one with Koishi next because he's the only one I can think of who can outschizo the schizo >competitive schizo (Koishi) attempts to outschizo the professional schizo (Grimm)
>>3985511 I don't know why but I get a strange feeling that koishi and grimm would unironically be doing something like wood carving or knitting together in complete silence the resulting products would be strangely well made and then they kill some faggot that walks into their eyesight and then immediately return to their practical hobby
>>3985513 >>3985514 Here, have this primer before I start making the two. Can't fucking believe I can draw her akin to how KKHTA is done, just a bit cleaner.

>>3986669 Yes. Just like in regular Souls games: leveling up? Pyromancy? Dark Wood Grain Ring? Havel's Armor? Summons? Mimic Tear? You didn't beat the game.
I highly recommend BSbros to try out Physician of Armiosion, it's a great rpgm game that also does the weapon swapping in battle gimmick and has a good story.
i still don't know how to structure that Vernai poem, or how to write the tale. It's bander jubjub and jabby in order, right? i hope I'm not making any mistakes, but i be damned if i do.
>>3986831 My memory is hazy about it but if I remember right youll always have to defeat Jabberwock first with him and for the other 2 I have no idea anymore what the order is Someone else might know and correct me
>>3986923 It's a Japanese thing. In Japanese culture, cutting one's own hair means leaving behind the old self. After finally admitting her love for Grimm, Node realizes that truly loving him means letting him escape the endless cycle of Wonderland instead of selfishly keeping him trapped there with her. She chooses Grimm’s freedom and future over her own desire to keep him beside her. Cutting her hair represents her “letting go” of that attachment and accepting separation.

>>3988192 Yeah though because of the premise everyone is a lifeless doll and it very quickly becomes not about the sex but about the protags inability break through and communicate/free fetus
>>3988175 I played it and enjoyed it, I liked seeing the artist get better through the cgs, If I had to say the characters weren't so strong but I did enjoy them the fights were fun
I remember the guy who spoke in green and talked about eyes. If you know, you know because he will assfuck you at this stage of the game, even at the end he will assffuck you.
>>3987716 >>3988172 >>3988174 ty! happy with the result so far. the smallness is unintended but maybe works? looks uncanny after being accustomed to the original sprites for so long spritesheet file if you wanna use it https://files.catbox.moe/oanupk.png
I'll hang around here until i finally find the right wordings to structure that Vernai poem I've been trying to write, poems are damn hard i'll tell you that... is it wrong of me to get a raging boner while reading at the mountains of madness? >>3987454 Correct, its a reference to lovecraft's nigger poem
>>3988614 >boot up >name the character >male, white, knight as always >the girl fucking explodes >break out of jail >another girl, this time gets roasted >killed in one hit by a dragon >wake up in a hippie forest >fairies shittalk me >can't rape them >another fairy, I try to kill it but it kills me >I talk to it blah blah blah and it fucks off >meet a gay flower in the forest >it asks me to kill fairies >gladly agree >this time I can rape them >it kills them >two birds with one stone
But then it takes a turn for the worse
>go to a house >a boy sucks my dick >go upstairs >a man who is apparently dressing as a woman steps on my dick >run away >a black guy on horseback comes and rapes my ass
>>3988628 >goes out of his way to be a faggot >"wtf why am i being treated like a faggot?" what you experience in your first run is a mirror reflection of your shadow, your deep inner psyche; as stated by Carl Jung :-)
>Protocol 1 section 22 of the protocols of the learned elders of zion
Behold the alcoholic animals, bemused with drink, the right to an immoderate use of which comes along with freedom. It is not for us and ours to walk that road. The peoples of the GOYIM are bemused with alcoholic liquors; their youth has grown stupid on classicism and from early immorality, into which it has been inducted by our special agents - by tutors, lackeys, governesses in the houses of the wealthy, by clerks and others, by our women in the places of dissipation frequented by the GOYIM. In the number of these last I count also the so-called "society ladies," voluntary followers of the others in corruption and luxury.
>>3988877 >pic Canon pairing but they never actually interacted in those bodies as far as I'm aware. Fascinating. And hot. If only they'd stayed together everything would have been fine.
>>3988877 I like to think they can't understand sex unless in forms made for it. And that they did the deed to make kids in their 'normal' forms, so passionless.
still no vernai poem, haven't even written a single line all day. aaah im so helplessly inept and incompetent. maybe the alice thread will give me the motivation to work on it.
>>3989104 >In which case, I guess if you win against the final boss, you do. Huuuuh, maybe I should say """"final boss"""" instead. Some NG+ bullshittery, you'll know on your own.
>>3989204 Still discovering a few things. I'm very confused by what is actually happening. Is this thing yourself? It sure as hell act like an even more insane Lorde.
>>3989222 >His 3rd game better have ntr It's been confirmed that Red will be fucking random men and probably her dog again. The game takes place between BS 1 and BS 2, so Grimm should already have a romantic relationship with Red.
Finally defeated that Fire Asshole from NPC Dreams.
Now I jumped in the hole, found treasures, and there's no way out? No way you have to use Her Remnant, imagine if you don't have it? There's gotta be a secret somewhere.
>>3989385 since they're related, that means alice expected me to bang her siblings, or her siblings came into her garden invited or not to get a piece of me...
>>3989402 opposite for me, leaf's sis probably got banished to the shadow realm while shub's fucking around in the chaos dungeon with her favorite drunk goy
>another alice thread reached bump limit 3rd time in the row, I'm unstoppapble! i am alice's truest champon, champion. a real knight too! ah in eed to slep.
>>3989388 Edith was taken there by force (CD description confirms it IIRC), Lorina came willingly for some fucking reason. >>3989393 >>3989401 Word of God is that much like how larping as Alice too hard massively depowered TCO, Shub got so into the role of Baphomet that killing her there really killed her. That's why her soul is in the dungeon where Mabel keeps everything that died and why she's actively pissed at you for killing her ex wife.
>>3989514 Depends on what you mean by real? The ""real"" Alice was Alice Hargreaves/Liddell. The same one that got kidnapped by TCO to template Tea Party Alice. We know that she still exists inside TCO because of ending G in BS2.
The original Tea Party Alice (Now Prickett) used to be a part of TCO, and was probably the same as 01 that got splatted in the intro. I have trouble believing that 01 was Nyarly as a whole, especially if Mary can splat and reset her if you remember your name.
>>3989622 She calls it her jewel box, she says TCO will be trapped in it when killed, it's full of things Mary discarded and stuff that died or went missing, including the God of Sleep who explicitly disappeared (was disposed of and captured by her) after helping with Wonderland's creation. >No? I think it's after the Old King fight. Something along the lines of "The Black Goat was my favourite." That would make no sense if Shub wasn't dead. And that open admission is a huge showing of emotion coming from miss >"I don't understand humans and love lol" >*meticulously keeps all her daughter's toys and diaries*
>>3989624 That's what I meant by Time and Space. Anything will end up in there. Iirc Shatranj like Mabel Or Yog I should say kindly touch itself with the concept of time. For all we know, there could be a genuine TCO in there, just hidden. But that's just speculation.
>including the God of Sleep who explicitly disappeared Furthering my point, you can see sheeps above Sackgirl's room, one of the rare SEN thing in DLC3, implying that he is either still there, or have some sort of influence. But that's also just speculation.
>The Black Goat was my favourite She said that. But she didn't looked or talked like she was actually mad. That isn't speculation.
>>3989625 >you can see sheeps above Sackgirl's room Isn't that either Milton or Hastur? Sheeps are supposed to be Milton, but sackhead girl babbles about King in Yellow, which is Hastur. At this point I'm not convinced they are different characters. Milton isn't actually a character in Cthulhu Mythos, is he? Every other Great One seems to reference a character.
>>3989633 That's a definite possibility. We also got a god that might be usurping the Christian God, or at least have similar imageries. I always though Milton and the God of Sleep were the same, but I just remembered, that's just me.
The other Outer Gods have a lot of live up to. TCO and Leaf placed the bases, and while Hastur's happy fun hospital wasn't as great or big, it was still a fun place. Node's was boring... but that was in design, it's really just a icy medieval kingdom, with a cool ass italian looking beach city at the end. How will the other two live up to that? I know technically, it's not exaclty Hastur's anymore and it's just the door that copy everything but you know.
>>3989634 >The other Outer Gods have a lot of live up to. Honestly, I'm curious if Grimm's garden will make an appearance in BS3.
My current theory is that sometime in the future, he'll attempt to use his GG powers, and like Mabel said, his body won't be able to handle it and the vessel will shatter. Would be kino if the garden is a manifestation of each different author's fairytale stories, and you go around collecting old companions and your souls. Maybe have the other niggermen invade the garden during the war too so we can see them again.
>>3989638 Don't forget about the Corruption of the Black Souls, and how their creations are doomed to ruin. I expect two things, either Grimm does end up creating a garden, which will end up horribly (and it'll piss me off) Or Grimm will end up 'purify' his soul and once again have amnesia, while he wander in the cosmos with his own Hound, to take out the Outer Ones before they start actively going to war. I can't imagine Black Souls with an actual war going on. It's like expecting Dark Souls or Bloodborn with a war, it just doesn't work for the formula. Yeah you can see some NPCs fightinh each others, but that's it.
I half expect it to be a Black Souls 4, but it seems that 3 will be the final. Torotoro can't mess this up.
>his body won't be able to handle it and the vessel will shatter. Would be kino if the garden is a manifestation of each different author's fairytale stories, and you go around collecting old companions and your souls Actually, Mabel say that Grimm's body will soon be destroyed because of the Black Souls in him being too black, being in TCO's funhouse while brainwashed would do that, and he'll have to get them back somehow. I don't get how. Which is why I believe Grimm will purify his soul and regain amnesia, and the player will go from there. Third time the charm lol.
This remind me, I thought I should share something about Grand Guignol I saw on a youtube comment on this :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fusUXfyR8ag
"I think it's really interesting that you can see some Buddhist influences in this style of work. The constant craving for an object of desire (in this case Alice) that leads the protagonist to experience cycle after cycle after cycle of suffering. It's only after sufficient knowledge is gained that the problem can be cut at the root. This last sequence of fights against the Crawling One, Jubjub, Jabberwock, and Bandersnatch is reminiscent of the last temptation of the Buddha by Mara and his three daughters under the Bodhi tree.
Grimm failed to let go of Alice and escape after fighting the Crawling One so he did the next best thing. If you can't beat the Jailer you have to break the Jail itself. In this metaphor the Grand Guignol would represent the six realms of Desire themselves.
The nature of the Crawling One is the nature of Dukkha, an endless craving without true fulfillment. At most a temporary one. "Love, when obtained, loses nearly all of its value". Because to her the meaning of love is the yearning that comes with it. A form of longing and attachment. It is only after letting go of Alice and surpassing the Jail that we can be free.
It's just too bad that unlike the doctrines of Buddhism this is not a story of hope though. What awaited at the end of this particular journey was not enlightenment but even more heartbreak. But still, I don't believe this was just coincidence."
Food for thoughts. Someone also mentioned the Eightfold Path.
>>3989211 You learn a little bit about him with his dialogues throughout his 4 battles, and then you learn some more after beating the final boss. I don't remember if he's mentioned by some characters spread around desu.
>>3989253 I talked about it once or twice in previous threads. The sprite Toro used for Mabel was originally drawn by Soramani Kagome-Kagome for a freeware game called "シロクロユウシャ Noa" ("Black and White Hero Noa"). Effectively, the original character her sprite was designed for is called Alice. Picrel.
I love the Gakupo song that was created to advertise the game, ngl.
>>3989661 There are apparently a lot of 'Routes' for the female character, Fetus, the knight lady, and Rau. I take so long for everything because I want to get every weapons, and 'Ores' for special and +10 weapons. They are greedy about ores.
Can we speak about how insane it was when he died definitely? At least than 28 textboxes of him talking about eyes and laughing! He even fake dies just to ramble more!
I also wanted to make my rpgmaker jank but while I was making it, I started to get real smug and started saying shit to myself in the mirror like I was kojima so I stopped. game dev is a helluva drug
hey lads, is the steam version of black souls 2 + patch equivalent to the dlsite version ? Otherwise does the /hgg/ contains the dlcs ? I don't want to miss anything on my first run
yo dutchdodo, your email got deleted again before i could write back. did the feds get ya? don't leave me on a cliffhanger like that, too many stories end on a cliffhanger!
>>3989761 It's got a better translation and uncensored cgs so it's effectively the superior version. The only thing of note is that like the current DLsite version it uses the new soundtrack so you may want to replace that with the old one (because all the replacement tracks share the replaced ones' names you can just copy paste the contents of the music folder from a copy of the game that still uses the old soundtrack, like the one found on F95).
>>3990610 NTA but they're linked on Toro's pixiv. Just open any random pic and you'll see them on the right, below the "artist's other pics" field iirc.
>>3990592 >>3990619 The two Victorias are separate characters and they tried to not have repeats. >No actual Alices Prickett is the most Alice Alice the series has at this point. The real surprise is that they put Charlotte in there honestly. >>3990610 >>3990577 https://igilyou.booth.pm/items/8194893 Note that Buyee is kind of a piece of shit service so you'd be better off with another forwarder but it's a little annoying to get one and maybe not worth it just for this, but if you ever want to buyfag more consult the guide at buyfags.moe for more information.
>>3990652 If they send you an email telling you "your data item has arrived" remind them that it's actually a physical item you bought and the one they received is just a thank you picture from the seller.
>>3990647 >no repeats >I didn't notice it wasn't two Mirandas when I made that post. Either way, I would've preferred to have Leaf on a card desu. I'll go off on a tangent and say I liked her simple fairy design, and I absolutely despise that every fanartist draws her BS2 version and calls it leaf. She was way cuter small, and we all know Grimm agrees. >Prickett is the most Alice Alice the series has at this point Yes, but she doesn't look like an Alice for the cards. We could've had TCO or 01's iconic design. Or even maybe 02-A, probably too similar to GG though. >Charlotte Absolutely diabolical we got her instead of anyone else. The one chance for some official Carnacki art gone... But anyways, I'm doing way too much complaining since they still look absolutely fantastic, and I ordered my own set.
>>3990940 Black Bailiff Charlotte from DRH. We know little about her beside that she looks like that and has cool big scissors and she scissors with Red. Somewhat popular speculation is that based on her name and design she might be the child of Grimm and Shub that Mabel mentions on the stairs.
>>3991035 No one said she was smart. It's only the idea of her power that blow Outer Ones away and goes, I want the same! Everyone know she and TCO are shit, and have the creativity of a red fish.
Even her own power doesn't want anything to do with her and want to be used by you.
NPC Dreams has a really interesting mechanic about how Break Skill work. You need to be under 25 and later 35 TP to use them, you can't spam break. Unga is for later. It's also helped by the fact that there's a lot of skills that cost 10 or below TP that doesn't cost turns, so it's not actually that difficult to manage. And then you find Nurse Rhyme items. It's a small way to make the combat feel different than Black Souls, without being obnoxious.
Now if they could be less jewish with the Wisdoms and Dreams.
>Irrversible Chaos NG+ within NG+ I see. I'm not dumb, there's missing characters in the future, character routes, the insect girl even say 'if only I haven't met this guy', the math is easy.
Though I have no idea what Dream of the Orphan does. What was the bad guy's entire deal other then being angry about something and making four avatars. Who was Gwirionedd, Melf, or The Mother, who are we. What is up with the eyes obsession other than possibly a meta commentary of the players, Or even the entire plot. We are in a locked dream to seal the bad guy, so events repeat forever is what I got.
>>3991194 Yeah, she got fucked by them jew mages by getting tricked or kidnapped I don't recall clearly out of the Garden. >Saving You should know better than this by now. Only Fetus can be saved; at least you can put Rau out of her misery before Gwirionedd makes her a standard schizo eye-hunter
That was weird. Yun and Rifell scene were also weird, but not that kind of weird. I think I'm finished with the game. I saved everyone. Apparently I don't have Golden Sword, Isaved Raidell without doing her events, I also did Rifell's quest... despite the fact that she fucking dead. There's also the library that seems to just... not be readable.
>>3991404 There was nothing else I wanted to order and I really didn't want to miss out on the cards. It's a chunk of money down the toilet but whatever. At least nobody can take away my cards now that I have them
>>3991202 >...Isn't Gwirionedd the big good? >>>falling for her lies Have you ever considered why you can't talk with Marulois (however his name is written) at 0 Boss Progress?
>>3991425 I thought it was Dial doing his thing to stop you from going for the one guy who clearly want to help your direclty. You apparently even have a relationship with Marulois, whatever that is. You ARE supposed to be her messeger after all and stuff.
Though after talking to the Mage in Merf's Gargen liking her to Eyes, it's clearly not a good look for her.
>>3991524 are you saying BS is a french game? that can't be, there's only so much about it that's french. like the very beginning to the end of DLC3. and the tie ins with OFF and E.Y.E was merely coincidental.
>finally broke 5 pull ups under the sweltering hot 30C summer of 2026 while food poisoned >would've done 2 more reps if my tummy didn't hurt like hell I did it! I'm officially a Chad now! thank you Vernai.
Hey I am currently going through BS 1 and I found a giant desert, is there anything in there ? I found a snow biome but came back because I feel like I am going too far away from the main quest
>>3991754 >Hey I am currently going through BS 1 and I found a giant desert, is there anything in there ? Maybe >I feel like I am going too far away from the main quest Don't worry about it. Just do whatever you want.
>>3991754 There's a LOT of things in the desert, I do hope you have milk because uh, it's going to be tough even with the milk. Desert might actually be a good argument against NG+ when I think about it.
>spoiler Don't worry about it champ. Play in peace. And love.
>>3991782 Lot of foreshadowing in some endings. I really suggest you try to go for all individidual endings and pay attention. I coulfd tell you about a stupid, ultimately useless secret... but only after you reached the True Ending.
>Is it also the case for the sequel ? Do not read unless you want to be spoiled about what feeling it will be in 2's ending. It's bittersweet. Heavy on the bitter, but there's hope.
>>3991784 I am guessing the fairytales serves toward that true ending ? I couldn't save Jeanne and forgiving Goose was a bad choice apparently, so they dropped theirs, don't tell me I'll have to kill every girls for the true ending :(
>>3991790 Alright I'll prepare booze, last question is NG+ important (lore and what not) or can I use my previous save to grab all of the other endings ?
>>3991793 Oh, you'll need to be sober to complete the game, my sweet baby boy.
>is NG+ important (lore and what not) or can I use my previous save to grab all of the other endings ? If you do everything right, you can get every endings except for the 'try again' one, if you failed, you can't get the the 'try again' ending, and need to NG+. In fact you mentioned Elma's ending, but you can go back to the throne room, and think of another person. Tell me... have you noticed anything strange happening outside the throne room? A certain... evolving sprite?
>>3991796 "try again" ? I picked up a spoiler free guide for the other endings and it just list them as A B C and D I have anything about a sprite, I'll make sure to pay attention on the next ending
>>3991805 THE FUCKING RING IS GIVING ME BAD ENDINGS ?! Fucking fairy bitch or are they not true ending of the character since if I don't have it I just don't have the last snippet ? I've finished ending A and the characters, I'm going to do a failed A one before having to do C and D
>>3991843 Welp, I fucking hate her Was I supposed to strangle her at the end ? I mean she deserves it for making me kill my girls and the fucking endings with the characters was because of her. Cunt. But is ending C the true ending then ? We didn't break the cycle, we're just the god of the fairy tale now ?
>>3991848 1. What the fuck is that ending D 2. So from what I can gather We play as an amalgamation of the three original fairy tales author Grimm and we got summoned here by Mary Sue who's an elder god and daughter of Baphomet (also an elder god) who got bored of humanity constant strive for war and conflict so she got inspired by our fairy tales to create this world but at one point we rebelled, our memory got wiped and we were stuck here for a very long time. Alice (who's role I don't fully get) guides us toward Mary Sue, we kill her and we take control of this world (?). BUT Alice comes back during ending D and absolutely terrify Mary Sue and says we're her lover ? Also Grimm is stronger than 2 fucking Elder Gods. Also Red Hood seems to have a much larger role than the other companions. I am guessing on her Bad End she's trying to take down not us but whoever made this world (That'd be Mary Sue ?) Overall, nice game Please don't make me kill my girls in the sequel.
>>3991854 Anon, I implore you to play the second game before coming back here. Some of these questions, especially about Alice, can be spoilers for the second game if explained in-depth. I'll do my best for a qrd.
>Mary Sue who's an elder god and daughter of Baphomet (also an elder god) who got bored of humanity constant strive for war and conflict She's just a massive dipshit. The world you are in is her creation. >Alice (who's role I don't fully get) guides us toward Mary Sue, we kill her and we take control of this world (?). No. She wanted that to happen. Go do Leaf's ending after you finish ending C. This particular Alice, Alice 02-A, is most likely also Mary's creation. >Also Grimm is stronger than 2 fucking Elder Gods. Not quite. Like I said, Mary wanted it to happen. And there's a reason why Baphomet is weaker that's revealed in 2. >Red Hood seems to have a much larger role than the other companions. I am guessing on her Bad End she's trying to take down not us but whoever made this world (That'd be Mary Sue ?) Yes.
>>3991897 >60 hours game too but I am guessing that it's worth it Well worth it, genuinely felt like finding gold the first time I played. Gameplay, narrative, and characters are all improvements in the second game imo.
It also didn't take me quite 60 hours, but I'm not a completionist who felt the need to fill out every h-scene manually.
>>3991837 >first spoiler Oh you figured it out. But no what I meant is what it's a failed Everyone Ending.
>>3991854 I told you that foreshadowing was there. Suddenly, stuff like Elizabeth, Catherine and Victoria ending doesn't sound so random eh?
>We play as an amalgamation of the three original fairy tales Take very close attention to what your character do. The brother Grimms are there, but there is one that is VERY obvious, and another one who is less so but still obvious.
>Baphomet (also an elder god) No no no. Shub Niggurath killed the original Baphomet and took it's place.
>>who got bored of humanity constant strive for war and conflict ...Good one.
>Red Hood If you want more info, I sugest playing her game before playing II at least. There's a lot of fun stuff in II that are linked to her game. There is also that in 1, but much less.
>>3991949 >first spoiler you mean that the priest and the guy who remove our sins are part of Grimm ? Or are you talking about how each class is a part of grim since there's only 3. I'll start the second one tomorrow to see Alice
>>3991957 What? No. Elma. Alice. Aren't some of them made by certain authors?
I really suggest you play Red's game so you get more context, in II, there's a LOT of stuff that will make you 'oh so that's how it is.', I too, but far less, though still interested.
>to see Alice That's not how you say it, but you'll fit VERY well in. Congrats on joining the club!
>>3991493 >>3991562 The Eye in the sky could also allude to (You), the player. You are, after all, looking down to "play" and the characters are NPCs to any player.
>>3991959 I think I did not write it properly, I meant to say that Grimm (I think?) is the amalgation of the three authors of the fairy tales found in game which Mary Sue read Should I check Red Hood's games before BS2 ?
>>3991949 >>We play as an amalgamation of the three original fairy tales >Take very close attention to what your character do. The brother Grimms are there, but there is one that is VERY obvious, and another one who is less so but still obvious. Wait wait, what's this all about? I've played the games but what are you talking about
>>3992761 Oh Lewis carrol was obvious given all of the Alice shit in BS2 and ending E. Hans is a surprise though. Where do we learn this? I know grimm is made of an amalgamation of multiple souls when he has his ptsd attack in the hotel
>>3992768 Just BS2? BS1 was heavy on it too. For Andersen, you just have to pay attention to how Grimm act around Andersen's characters, but BS2 DLC3 really hammer it down with how much messages there are that want to kill her, and even Grimm seems to kill her in the H scenes. Knowing how Andersen's characters are, it's not hard to imagine it's him telling you to kill Gerda for happiness. We all know his stories after all.
Iirc, Grimm, Lewis, and Andersen are directly mentioned by Leaf in Ending C, but it's been so long since I played the first game.
there's 93 Alice here and 28 Love as of writing. both make up 121 from an angel number standpoint, it symbolizes balance, harmony, and the manifestation of your dreams. but if we go from the logic of that number game, 143 being I (1) Love (4) You (3), then 121 could mean I(1) <3(2) u(1)
not as obvious as 143, but i get the general message she's trying to tell me.
>>3991957 Alright so I've just started BS2 and I tried to enter Grimm as my character's name and got chastised. Fuck you Mary Sue. Also it feels like Grimm is going insane because the only dialogue option I have other than rape and kill is "I am going to Alice.". Also I picked Hunter and the first few battles kicked my ass immediately because I thought the shot would act as a just in time parry kind of thing. I get it now
>>3992860 Fair warning, you want to play the game as blind as possible until you are really, really tired of going blind through multiple cycles. Once taken away, the taste of blind Black Souls 2 cannot be regained.
>Hunter It's considered the meta class for both normal and SL1, funnily enough, as it have the best starting gear.
>I thought the shot would act as a just in time parry kind of thing Uh, they do though? They also do good damage.
>>3992863 I intend to play fully blind for now. I got the "when the enemy prepares a move" with the gun but when I try to use it when an enemy has nearly his action bar full, nothing happens. It does do free damage tho. Also lmao
>>3992864 >I got the "when the enemy prepares a move" with the gun but when I try to use it when an enemy has nearly his action bar full, nothing happens That's weird, you sure you are using Gun Break?
>>3992867 Yep, maybe the green bar was not full enough ? It's not big deal, I'll get the timing down eventually. Also I was afraid to use my black souls because of the lower SEN and boy was I right.
>>3992871 Oh no that one I got yea, when it says "I am bout to beat your ass" I use the shot everytime. I was wondering where to level up only to find the new npc in the library so nvm.
>>3992872 Then everything is normal. Gun Break or any Breaks only serves as breaking the icon charge stuff, not anything else.
>spoiler Enjoy your foreshadowing. No, I'm not going to explain. You are probably not even going to understand what I mean at all. Hell, some players might not even get it.
>>3992863 Is it? With how easy it is to grab all starting equipments once you know your way around (daily reminder HB is gettable at P0 and hunter gear is a single boss away at most) I'd assume the only thing you care about is starting stats (mainly speed).
