01/28/26(Wed)11:14:01 No.2329596 On one hand it's great we had so many episodes of King's Bounty, on the other hand, I wished we had more. Imagine, a King's bounty game every 2 years, forever, until the fatigue eventually set up (it wouldn't).

So what's the best class, Knight, Mage or Paladin (I think later expansion changed the names but it's always warrior, mage and something in between)? And are skills related to box of demons/pet dragon/Valkyries/ect. a trap since you can't use those in boss battles?

But, anon, we did get that, with the vikangz and the undead expansions. And fatigue did eventually set in.

paladin is the less exciting since it's mostly qol skills. but it's not like you cant pick skills from other branches so it still works fine.

if i remember right adrenaline\rage\whatever also influence critical hit ratio. and you dont have to bother to find the right scroll or have enough crystals either, it's just exp to level up those skills. so nope, not a trap at all.

vikangz was good, though the story stopped to make sense (and to being viking related) in the late half. darkside expansion was quite half-assed and forgetable.

The biggest shame is that they never added multiplayer or skirmish mode.

>Imagine, a King's bounty game every 2 years
...you do know there's like 15 of those games already?

There's like 4, and that's not nearly enough.

Played one and you literally played them all. Story isn't really connected so pick your preferred flavor of slav jank.

ok, so no meaningful difference in pacing or mechanics

Not really. Some different gimmicks mostly.

Either start with the original or the PS2 game (Quest for the Dragon Bone Staff).
The later ones add too many mechanics that will overwhelm you if you aren't familiar with the basic gameplay already.

Crossworld, it's armored princess (which was already better than legends), but improved. The viking one is meh, the dark side is funny, but janky.
