In my opinion the biggest problem Christianity ever caused to Rome was religious unrest when it wasn´t the majority religion yet and conflicts because of heresies. Rome survived the religious unrest in the 3rd century and the heresy controversies in the 6-8th century. The biggest problems conntected to Christianity did not cause the fall of the empire. The eternal civil wars and outside pressure caused Rome to fall. And it´s remarkable how many civil wars it took for Rome to finally fall.
