the anima model is pretty good, as fast as sdxl for me. since it's so small, i wouldnt be surprised to see a lot of people move over once the later versions are released, especially if lora training is easy. base style is VERY 1.5 but it's great at artist replication so that's not a problem. it's alright with text, not good enough for me to see myself using it often. I did notice a problem with multiple character gens with traits bleeding over or certain characters just not working, so you'll still need inpainting for multi-character gens. i haven't tested inpaint or hrfix so i don't know how well that fares yet.

What the model needs is some smartypants to understand how to use FastGen and create a low-step lora/version for it. https://github.com/NVlabs/FastGen
With 4/8 step, the model would be usable.
Right now, at least on my end, any hi-res attempt takes way too long, with the model scaling compute time exponentially when increasing the resolution - 1.5x size = 3x slower/step, 2x size = 10x slower/step.

The good part is I have enough vram to run the low-res through Anima and upscale it with Illustrious, cutting down the time from 80+ seconds to ~40s.
