But the truth is, even Gura didn't want to be "Gura". When Gura joined Hololive, it was not because of her music but because she was a memelord. She was famous for her shenanigans as Senzawa and they hired for the same reason that Biboo was scouted for Advent - to be the gen's memelord. Keeping in mind that EN was also a brand new thing for Hololive, they didn't expect the EN side to take off. But then COVID happened, as well as specific elements of Gura that attracted so many to her. Her meteoric rise was something that will always remain legendary. But Gura didn't want this. She didn't want the constant attention, the shitposting, the constant harassing by Cover for her to be the company mascot. She just wanted to be a cute & funny girl doing meme things. Something that Biboo is doing.

And that it dawned on me. The reason why Gura avoided Biboo, as well as challenged her timeslot, was not because she hated Biboo. Far from that - she wants Biboo to enjoy being a cunny memelord.
The numbermonkeys and Donielikes love to point out that Biboo does not have a million yet. Thing is, Gura would rather not have a million either. Notice how Gura/Saba has somewhat given up on streaming. If she retired to avoid the attention, than she has not succeeded - she already has 1.4 million kaniki, all desperate to see her next stream, her next move. Biboo and Gura never got a chance to have a DMC stream. Or to talk about things they did have in common. But perhaps it was for the best. If Gura did give Biboo her blessing, its possible Biboo could have inherited Gura's curse. Distancing thus allows Biboo to develop at a pace Biboo herself could be happy with.

Nonetheless, the situation is not ideal. Saba is continuously absent. Hololive EN lost its true powerhouse, and Biboo sits on its throne.
