I'm pretty surprised how niche it is. Like, the last anime, Decode, was in 2008. Almost 16 years ago! And the last Birdy manga was from 2008 to 2012.

It's been a while, but I would say it's worth a watch. There is an OVA which is only 4 episodes long produced in the 90s which I thought was fun too. But really, do you need a justification to watch an anime with a hot girl?
