Hey guys. I need some fun media that shows life in Beverly, Yorkshire (Or just Yorkshire if that's pushing it). I'd like to learn their accent, their typical vocabulary, and lifestyle. I've been looking at youtube videos, but I don't like them too much. Some TV, books or movies would be great. I'm reading a book about British accents but I'd like to hear it as well.

i'm from further north, but i have family from Yorkshire.
1. watch the film Kes (1969). working-class classic of British cinema. kino.
2. watch the television film Threads (1984). spooky post-apocalypse what-if? story, by the author of the original Kes novel.
3. read up on the Hillsborough disaster and the Battle of Orgreave, because everyday Yorkshiremen WILL keep banging on about those.
4. play the Yorkshire/Tyke translation of the Touhou games.

Interesting movies. I'll check them out soon.

How exactly do Yorkshiremen bang on about this? Is it like Hungarians ragging on about Trianon?

I beat TH10 on normal difficulty. Unfortunately that one doesn't have the Yorkshire meme translation. I'll check it out though.
Another thing I wanted to ask is if you could share some obscure slang, like slang that you'd only know if you were born and raised in the UK (north).

Wut. I grew up in the Yorkshire dales, went to university in Sheffield (Where the Hillsborough disaster happened) and lived in Leeds and York for years. Nobody once mentioned either of those things.
