How do I get into piracy? What sites or methods are relatively safer for pirating unaffordable software or subscription-slop for a student who’s just starting out? Open-source alternatives had been my lifeline until a professor belittled me, and now I don’t know what to do.

Do you recommend any site, channel, or anything like that?

Look into torrents. You basically need to download files from other users. Torrents are listed on trackers, there are many around, some private and restricted and some public.

When you download software, read the readme.txt and .nfo file every time. Do not skip any instructions and follow them carefully.

Please be very careful when downloading torrents, as they can have malware sometimes. Oftentimes your OS will flag certain executables, like keygens, etc. as malware but it will be a false positive.
