Why cant my personnally written app get access to all files in data/data despite having root access?

Other rooted programs such as neobackup obviously have access.

What am i missing?

Pic related is all I get access to, android.gms & my own package

I achieved expected behaviour by appending
>--mount-master

My root method being magisk
