I've never had dream about my smartphone. Its bizarre, I use it everyday yet my dreams never have a phone. Its not all technology, I've dreamed about cars and guns. But never about my smartphone.

I dream of xbox controllers and I hardly play xbox, but i'll hear people talk to me on the team speak.
Phantom technology is real, and if you want a phone just do this.

Your brain is never really focused on the phone itself but only on the content on your phone, this shows in the dreams. It's also not necessary to have a phone in your dreams, instead of having to chat or whatever it just makes the people itself show up.

I think you may be on to something as my dreams normally revolve around the hardware itself and not just texting, etc

The phone is a surrogate not just for activities and downtime but for the participant themselves.
It's why people point it at others in anger and why they use it in defense when scared.

I had a dream one time that I used my phone to take a photo of something, then I woke up and didn't have access to the photo, so I was kinda bummed out

we value the subjective things in life. friends, emotions, memories, beliefs, feelings, etc. the objective things are meaningless. a phone breaks, you buy a new one. a relationship breaks, different story.

I have dreamed using my phone. The last time it was during a dream where there was a high altitude nuclear detonation over Tennessee. It produced an EMP and I remember using my phone to check what websites were working, and I tried using Youtube but the videos were not loading
