So, ever since i was a kid I've always thought people were trying to come up with ways to flatter someone who doesn't have any redeeming qualities. And the default thing to say would be "You're so intelligent".
So, after in a few years in therapy, It turns out i've been actually deemed as intellectually gifted by a trio of licensed psychologists. Consider this legit, even if you're skeptical.
Well, anyway. It doesn't matter which area(s) i excel. I'm not going to discuss that. What's more important is:
What are anons' thoughts and feelings when they are next to someone whom you know are far more intelligent than you are, assuming they don't directly tell you, but you just know they are.
My goal here is to gauge reactions, since i can't do that IRL. So be sincere. You can be mean if you'd like.

picrel is what I do internally. If we're in an argument when I get the vibe then my internal response is usually surprise, followed by reexamining how I presented my own arguments.

intelligence is not wisdom, nor is it visio nor is it knowledge.
when i was small, i strove after being more intelligent. this people do, who are unaware, maybe ignoble even.
some people even see so called intelligence as a purely made up, no-thingness expression, by the medical-industrial complex and their sponsors to make people believe certain things, just like you self-disclosed, OP.
>thoughts and feelings
depends on the individual iam dealing with

uhm no they don't do this.
having no redeeming qualities is pretty bad, and no one would say that someone like this was smart.

My IQ is around 115 and I have people in my family who are higher than that. My non bio grandmother tends to talk down to a lot of people (she is a very intelligent individual, you can just tell by how she operates, and whatever IQ scores she has) but she is also very prideful. I know a lot of intelligent people feel a need to lower their vocabulary, but the way she does it comes off as very rude.
I had a friend with an IQ of 160, and has taken the test many times. He was very hard to decipher. Very unpredictable and could do a lot of damage. He had a good heart, though. Just very confusing. Maybe it was a power move.
But outside of this, I find talking to people who are smart, yet humble, very engaging! A lot of very smart people tend to become disconnected with others just because they ARE different. I've kind of become a victim to the whole NPC monotony BS that a lot of "le 160 IQ" people have but I try and be aware of others.
It really depends on the individual. I mesh better with people who are above average yet are not geniuses, in my experience. I have tried talking about topics with normies and they are heavily biased, uninterested, or make up an opinion based on what limited worldview they have.

I allegedly have a 130 IQ, and I'm also Asperger's, according to some psychiatrist. But I don't know, and I don't care. Even though people always tell me, Wow, you're so smart, and shit like that, I hate it. I hate realizing I live in a world where I will never be comprehended. Every time I start talking about topics I'm interested in, people can't understand or can't go deep enough for my liking. As a kid, I barely had friends because I was too nerdy, and most teachers didn't do shit apart from pressuring me to keep the good grades I don't give a fuck about perfect grades. High IQ is a curse, not a blessing. Anyways, what I've found in my life is that a high IQ has made me depressive as fuck.
