I need a job that provides room and board. I am physically fit and have no criminal record. Because of my situation I'm not really sure where to start or who would take me. The sooner I can start working the better, though I'm open to suggestions for future seasonal work. Any ideas before I start to consider falling for the military meme?

military isn't a meme and the best decision I ever made, I was you and now I get to travel the world and collect bennies from my desk posting on 4chan and eating sloppa. Pay is decent also, go air force tho unless you have a reason to choose any other branch. Inb4 zog cog nigga you pay taxes you are just as raped as me

I assume that's why they have to sweeten the deal with "free rent". To draw in people like OP who have nowhere else to go. I get it I'm an in home caregiver I'm very familiar with the deal lol.
Fucking sucks and OP should do everything in his power to avoid it. Living in my car for several months was better than this.

ye it's probably not bad. I probably would have done trucking or offshore oil/fishing or something if I didn't join the air force. Being young with options and no one who actually cares about you is freeing

Applied to a cruise ship a week or two ago and was immediately rejected. It was for a role that matches my experience, pretty sure because I don't have experience on a ship already. What are some good entry level positions? Thoughts on non-cruise ships?

That's part of the deal

A lot of jobs also simply require living on-site. So while you may be paid less if you work multiple jobs a year you may come home with more in this economy

Being a young person (with options is debatable) also means no family expenses and no one to take care of
