25, male. I don't really have any noteworthy skills or things I can do no one else can. I've been unemployed for 6 months now. Before I used to work at a shitty grocery store, just doing a couple shifts a week to get some pocket money for spending on whatever. Never enough to really get my own place or actually do anything. I live with my mum, who's very kind and just wants me to be happy and takes care of me like I'm still just a 15 year old. Drives me everywhere, cooks for me. I feel really lucky but I feel awful; I feel like such a burden and failure, stemming back to highschool when I had a bunch of mental issues like depression and psychosis. The only thing I really do right now is stream, but I'm nowhere even close to being a 'successful streamer'. I can't drive, I dropped out of highschool. I'm the most stereotypical loser that probably exists. I just don't really know what I'm supposed to actually do. I can't go back to just doing a shitty grocery store job for the rest of my life, but I know one day I won't be able to keep having Mum look after me forever. I don't want to give up on streaming since it's the only thing that makes me happy, but It's probably unrealistic to keep just crossing my fingers and hope things just 'turn out well'.

Where do I even start? I feel like such a mess of a person I don't even know what I should prioritise. Do I try to learn some kind of language or degree or something that can get me a job? Should I focus on getting a license? Right now my days just consist of jerking off, playing video games and watching anime and youtube like where do I even go from here

NO ONE has any noteworthy skills when they start out. You gain skills by doing things.

Get a job. ANY job. Flip burgers or stock shelves. Get good at flipping burgers or stocking shelves. Be the best burger flipper or shelf stocker in the place.

Then you have two paths to a future. Either get promoted to head of the burger-flippers or shelf-stockers and be management rather than labor, or get some other job entirely by saying "I've got all this experience in production or organization that can easily be transferred to your business, making me the manager you want."

Lucky bastard. How did you two meet anyway? Dating app?

Dating app and just happened to get lucky. Out of every one I've matched with on apps she was the only decent one. Then again you only need one. Everytime I go to her house i find empty mcdonalds bags and sodas. She even lets me feed her sometimes

Maybe I'll try learning a language first then. Seems like it could be useful and apply to a lot of different areas. Maybe could be helpful for the streams too.
