02/03/26(Tue)22:43:03 No.34225018 I can't play games for longer than 20 minutes. It's a medication side effect called akathisia. I play games for 20 minutes, get the urge to close them, and stay an hour more browsing the internet and stuff like that.
I know this is a very esoteric issue, but can anyone offer me advice? I'm already in the process of changing meds for something that doesn't give me this effect.

About to go to bed and can't type up an essay of advice, but I've recently found out that there is a surprising amount of content on YouTube if you search for "healthy gaming", there's one channel in particular that has some good advice, can't be bothered to find it again right now.
Maybe not everything there will be useful, but could be some good inspiration.

i've had akathisia from medication and i couldn't even sit in a fucking chair or browse the internet, i had to walk around for hours until my legs wore out because i was so restless.
if you really meant akathisia, take benadryl. it's the only OTC med that can help it basically, but you'll have to ride out the discomfort until it goes away. sorry you're experiencing this
