Dealing with a multi-year, coordinated harassment campaign designed to destroy my reputation and safety. Looking for advice from anyone who's survived similar.
The Pattern:
· Weaponized Disclosure: A former close friend took sensitive personal information I shared and weaponized it, gossiping to dangerous local figures to put me at risk.
· False Public Accusation: This escalated to her having friends graffiti a false and severe accusation against me in public. When I confronted her, she gave a cold, poker-faced "apology" while clearly orchestrating the campaign, using ambiguity to manipulate her friends' perception of me.
· Systemic Isolation & Gaslighting: She acts as a double agent, inciting others against me while playing the concerned ally. The playbook includes love-bombing, digital threats, and reality-distorting tactics to make me question my sanity.
My Questions:
· Has anyone dealt with a false public accusation (graffiti/smearing) as part of harassment? What steps did you take?
· Is a cease and desist from a defamation lawyer a viable first step here, even if the originator uses proxies?
· What is the most effective way to document this for authorities (photos, logs)?
· How do you cope with the psychological toll of being systematically isolated and portrayed as a monster?
Context (For Autists):
This is a personal grievance weaponized into total war. The pattern started with a betrayal of trust for street credibility and has repeated. The false graffiti and her psychological games are the latest escalation. I am documenting everything and shifting from reaction to strategy.
