I don't have autism or anything, I was just extremely socially isolated until the age of 20, and as a result I have no idea how to talk to people. I can say hi or what's up to a cashier, but during an actual conversation my mind works extremely slowly and I find it hard to keep my voice consistent, have the correct tone, or say the right things. I've tried to be cordial with my coworkers, but the conversation always dies awkwardly, almost always I kick myself after the fact because I think of like a million things I could've said to keep it going or make it less awkward.
Has anyone here went from a social retard to outgoing? It seems like 99% of people trying to give social advice have just been extroverted since they were a child
