Doesn't have to be something you cooked, but certainly can be. Lets make this a perfect day.

Co/ck/s need to start taking more photos of their meals. We're all in this together.
Here is my breakfast today.
It was rice with water spinach, garlic, tofu, some kind of fish cake, egg, anchovies in a sweet red sauce, bok choy, some other green vegetable I've never seen, and a very hot green chilli sambal.
I'm in Malaysia and this cost $2 in a mall food court.
Very tasty and probably very healthy, that's a lot of green vegetables.
I mixed it all up together

There's no shame in cheese and bread. It's a purely functional meal. You could survive for many years on cheese and bread alone, as long as you had a source of vitamin C occasionally. It's almost nutritionally complete

Again no shame, butter cheese it's all the same.
True co/ck/s know the "chef's portion" is sopping up the pan drippings with crusty bread

now THIS is making me hungry. What a perfect plate for lunch or dinner. Is that lamb or beef?

C'mon man bread & cheese(or butter) is literally how the Normans created Northern Europe. Some people like toasted melted shit but I personally would prefer it all cold.

That's a large full sized boiled egg at the back there, just to give you some perspective on how much food that was. I didn't finish.

You can get pork and bacon here but it's expensive. They have lots of beef bacon and chicken bacon alternatives and they're pretty good. Chicken hotdogs are amazing

I disagree, most of the ingredients are native to South East Asia. It looks very much like Nasi Campur or Nasi Sayur (which is the local name for rice meals like this). Because that's what it is.
Can you post a photo of something you have eaten recently?

although your photo isn't particularly flattering, what with the flash and whatnot, upon close inspection that is a legit carbonara. I'm a whore for pasta in general and this looks so damn appealing rn

>>21858635
yeah I know it's a shit picture, I couldn't be bothered to do any better, sorry
it is indeed a proper carbonara. pasta, pecorino, guanciale, pepper, egg yolks, salted pasta water. and it was delicious, I'm also a pasta whore

I don't normally take pictures of my food, but for you I make exception.
prime grade ribeye, sous vide to a perfect medium rare. then lightly kissed by fire on my grill. turned out perfect, super tender, and extra fatty.

It was so good yesterday I went back again for breakfast today.
This time I got sambal egg, water spinach and some kind of pineapple and cucumber salad, along with a few different sauces. This one was $2.50.
I'm very proud of myself for eating so healthily while on holidays
Not bad for mall food court buffet food!

It was delicious. There was some crushed star anise in the sambal, which gave it a sweet licorice flavour which was unexpected! About a 7/10 on the spice level.
They had baked beans and sausages at this mixed rice place too. Who eats baked beans and rice for breakfast? Malaysians apparently.

Malaysia breakfast again.
This was rice topped with kecap manis (sweet soy sauce). On the left is sambal chilli sauce, then salted duck eggs, eggplant with a green chilli and coconut sauce, and on the right is a water spinach, bok choy and heavy garlic mix.
I mixed it all up together (Campur) which is how you do things here. It was delicious, spicy and healthy!
Cost: $2.25 USD

I'm not great at photos or plating, but this is from a self-serve buffet in a food court in a mall. They just give you a serving of rice and you add whatever you like.
Here is what it looks like

Tofu, bean, and mushroom coconut curry on rice with soap.
6/10 edible but needed a lot of refinement.

i couldn't get a photo, but i did an experiment of cooking a totinos frozen square pizza in a covered pan on low heat. it came out surprisingly good and took around 25-30 minutes. the only complaint I had was some parts of the pizza were 'tough'. not chewy or crisp, but sort of hard i gues. but mostly it seemed like it was baked in an oven. the goal was trying to create an oven out of a pan.
