The best "american" national chain pizza is the pan pizza from Domino's, and pepperoni is best because supreme will not allow it to cook properly.

all the chains suck ass compared to local mom n pop shops

I always order plain cheese, or maybe pepperoni. Those are my go-to’s, but if someone wants to sperg out and get maximum toppings I don’t mind it. I think because my Mom liked infinite toppings pizza.
I don’t think there’s a bad topping for a pizza. There’s no quantity that’s too much. I just like basic shit.

The niggers at my dominos refuse to bake it well done despite me ticking the box in the app.

weird I thought black people liked all their food well done

Stuffed crust and its various further innovations have been America's biggest contribution to pizza.

I like supreme but it would be better if it had bacon instead of sausage

What's the best "american" style pizza?
Why that'd have to be a sourdough focaccia style in a cast iron in a toaster oven at 385F for 23 minutes, with hand-torn cheese chunks, fresh garden herbs, and a layer of crushed tomato puree.
I've made over a hundred of these, they are perfect.

buffalo chicken pizza
grilled chicken already rules, a decent pizza will have incredible crust by default, and the mix of buffalo sauce, mozzarella, and smoked provolone is insane

hm wonder why they call it that

I tried a Papa John's pan pizza today since it was recommended by the manager who posts here. It had such a strong parmesan smell it was borderline unpleasant. They put shredded parmesan below the dough which gets crispy but also annoyingly flakes off the pizza as you eat it. They also obviously paid special attention to make sure there were a bunch of flakes on the crust. I do appreciate the effort, but it was otherwise forgettable and I would not order it again. Domino's pan is solidly better in every other way and also $8 vs $12 for Papa John's.

oh Papa John's was also crispier on the bottom which was nice and the dough was airier, but I don't care about that.
