Honestly, the first time I saw someone sugar their cereal, I was absolutely disgusted but if you like it, you do you, boo.
>>21864888
Not even close, no. And good brands are vitamin fortified.

On a personal note I once bought a huge box of cornflakes and enjoyed them as my breakfast for a month. They are very tasty but dull

It’s a bit indulgent I admit. But cornflakes are mostly sweet-neutral. If I saw someone putting sugar on lucky charms or reese's puffs I’d go bananas.

02/03/26(Tue)01:59:29 No.21864913 It's a pure textural experience, hate to admit that I loved it as a kid, I would ask for the non sugar ones because I don't like sweets. I could eat the whole thing in one sitting.

the amount of milk (whole) you put in a bowl of cereal amounts to like 120kcal.

there are legitimately no vitamins or minerals in cornflakes, its purely carbs with a tiny bit of fiber, fortified crap is most likely useless.

02/03/26(Tue)03:26:11 No.21865042 Corn flakes came up during a time when most people were mostly subsiding on canned meat and potatoes. Grits, oats, and rice were around at the time but the average person didn't have the patience to cook them.

I had cereal for dinner and measured the amount of milk I put in. It was 20oz which is 375 calories for a little under 2 servings of cereal in the bowl.

Sugar and spices causing "wild thoughts" was more of an early belief of many Christian wackos in Michigan during the late 1800's. Of those, the seventh day adventists became popular and have calmed down on that belief since then. They're just opposed to sugar in excessive amounts because those motherfuckers love sugar.
