Anyways, if I have to pick between the two, which do I chose? Indian spices have been found to be contaminated with heavy metals multiple times. China apparently uses prison slave labour to peep it's export Garlic, the prisoners fingernails often snap from so much peeling that they have to start using their teeth. Plus China is know to use the same liquid tankers to transport sewage, cooking oil, and water.

Just buy dry spices. That way it will be shipped in the same truck that construction waste and cow shit instead.

Organic seems less likely to be from China or India. I either hunt down the good stuff or just buy from Trader Joe’s - in addition to their dried stuff they sell small clamshell packs of fresh rosemary, sage, and other herbs.
