Honestly one of the only good food trends I can think of. I love pistachios, so what are essentially pistachio Reese's being popularized is like a dream come true. I just hope it doesn't fade away. I saw on my WalMart delivery app that their bakery even has Dubai cake...stupidity. Disney Springs Ghiradelli had a $25 milkshake, rofl. It's everywhere. When I get baklava for dessert, even then I want walnuts, not pistachios.

Italy paired chocolate and pistachios for ages. Perugina, someone has it. It's regional a bit to Amalfi, you'll see pastes in jars, but also along the southern eastern coast (ie closer to Sicily).

wegmans bakery can be surprisingly bad considering the large markup for presentation. it's not like they stick to clean ingredients either. it's all pre-made stuff that is either already complete or simply heated in the store. much better to go to real bakeries

All high quality processing happens in switzerland, belgium and holland. So all high quality chocolate that actual patissiers and chocolatiers in the world use is processed there. That includes dubai chocolate. It's not chocolate that is harvested or even processed in dubai, it's just a recipe that has the name Dubai because it gives people the idea of exoticism and luxury. It also happens to be a very astroturfed trend caused by the pistachio harvest being much higher than expected.
