Do this threads ever take off for just WP? I stopped caring about the louds years ago.

Better smothered than the thread archiving after like an hour. The shows at least somewhat make sense together as they are both Nick and both get new eps on the same nights, so it's not like it's completely arbitrary.

HEY EVERYONE check out the new episode synopsis!
Looks like we might get a 'bad girl Stella' episode?
Intriguing..*very* intriguing...
>>
>>152321019
The plot would be fun if the show had creative writers, but it'll probably just follow the same generic tropes
>everytime Stella does something bad, she actually does something good unintentionally
>takes it up a notch
>probably wears a leather jacket
>ends up almost failing an important exam/project
>apologizes or something

Alright alright, just saw the episodes and I have a couple of thoughts! First of all, an observation: in my opinion the second episode was weaker than the first, despite being stacked with Louds. I think I will analyze that a little more closely in a bit. But, thankfully, neither of the episodes were stinkers. I found the GLOAT to be basically inoffensive.
Now, the Lola focused episode was pretty damn good. I think Lola as a protagonist is just great. She's so unapologetic about being selfish that she gives you a pretty unique dynamic compared to Lincoln and even the other sisters. Now, when the episode started and we got all that Scoots shit, I thought 'Dammit! Fucking Scoots, she's going to ruin this episode!' but no, man! She got assigned to some other cutie bell or snicker doodle or whatever they're called (and the cutest one too, in my opinion; I really liked her design a lot! I'm glad she was the one to get a voice line). It's also cool that all we saw of Scoots this episode was her eating shit, that was satisfying. Always good to see an obnoxious character get fucked up, TLH is a pretty nice world so that doesn't happen too often but if any character merits injury it's definitely Scoots.
Anyway, the setting for this episode was pretty cool. Maybe it's just because I was alive and in them during the time when malls were really rocking and rolling and it was simply where people hung out but the Royal Woods Mall gives me such a wonderful, nostalgic feeling. The bookstore, the tiara place, the theater, just the whole layout and color palette and visual space with the escalators in the middle. I find the whole thing personally ridiculously comfy. I really dig that mall, man.

As for the episode itself, it's a Lola showpiece. We got to see her be really funny and indulge in her baser nature but, crucially, she didn't really hurt anybody even when she was being 'bad', so really we just got to enjoy Lola being Lola and she's always a blast. Parking in the entrance for instance, and devising ways to get Burns to doze off so she could enjoy her day. The best interactions were probably between her and angel Lola. Those WERE funny, although I admit, the first time she swatted angel Lola away made me laugh, they did the same joke twice and you do get points off for that!
Apart from that, a very cool, very chill look at a day in the life of Lola. It won't blow your pants off but it was a pretty comfy and easy watch, DEFINITELY will rewatch, in fact I might do that as soon as I finish this post. This ep has pretty enormous potential as a 'just put it on and relax' episode, and I'm glad I didn't get sandbagged because I was just talking last week about how I hoped the new premieres wouldn't be bad since the last bunch were good and I want them to keep it up. I'm glad they maintained a solid standard this week too.
Oh, but there's some very specific things I want to talk about that happened in this episode, dude: Let's set aside those cute as fuck girlscouts for a second (the one that got Scoots is my favorite, again), I can't BELIEVE we got a daylight view of Lindsay Sweetwater, man. That's an unbelievably deep cut! Also! Also! That girl that works at Sloppy Jake's, she worked at the hamburger place/arcade in s1, she was Lori's boss, right? The one that wouldn't let her out for the mermaid ball because she'd given Lincoln too many arcade tokens and stuff and needed to make up hours? Like I said, these are some really deep cuts. The guys that did these episodes must really know the show, because those are season 1 girls. I wonder if The Loud House has been around long enough now that fans of the show are working on it?
>>
>>152321936
(btw, the girl that works at the kindergarten also made another apperance, like in Leni's prom. No appearances since ep1 of s5 and then bam, two appearances in a row. Plus Lindsey Sweetwater, like I said, apart from only appearing in s1, she didn't even make a physical appearance then, you could only see her eyes and hear her voice when she let Lincoln in on Lola's secret in that Tattler's Tale episode. I recognized her instantly since I know who Lola's rivals are, but still, I was impressed!)

Now, let's talk about the Shiloh episode. I know, I know, I can hear some people groaning already since it's a Cousin Oliver situation. And IIII tacitly agree with that. But, I have to admit, they were smart about it. They knew they were going to need plenty of Louds to carry his load so they loaded the card with sisters and Lincoln this episode, smart move. And another thing that really jumped out at me: can anyone else believe a male character, a younger male character no less, was shown to be superior in athletic aptitude to Lynn? I know this is culture war stuff and I don't want to get into it, but I have to admit, I was taken aback. That was a very very even handed take. Maybe I'm just cynical, though I don't like to be, but I've gotten so used to girls beating the brakes off boys in ANY physical competition in cartoons that, I'm not kidding here, when that boy was showing up Lynn with 1080's and backslides down the rain gutter and shit, I really didn't know what to think. I STILL don't know what to think. I know TLH has always been a bit unique when it comes to that kind of thing and not seemingly so beholden to trends but is it possible we've finally arrived at point we can start treating characters as individuals again? Are boys allowed not to just draw with in the best case but actually legit show up girls every once in a while now, gender no narrative barrier? Again, I don't want to get into culture war shit, but it really gave me something to think about. Anyway, it's still very possible TLH is just an exception since this show is not really your average type of show.
>>
>>152321980
That aside, I want to talk about how many favors this show's artstyle does it. There was one scene in particular that I was very impressed by. I mean, don't get me wrong, grinding down the rain gutter was cool, that was some THPS shit from the day. But it's when he got that jet pack and started zooming around everywhere until he finally left the yard and flew up level with Nacho flying Skip's advertisement plane. He lands in the pilot seat and then jumps off while Nacho waves his fist at him. Anyway, as he's falling down and you see the clouds fly past and I detected something unusual going on with the color of the sky behind him, some aquamarines here and there, before I could focus on it he actives his jetpack and carves a cloud into the shape of his face. The whole sequence from yard to when he finally lands was not bad. I could tell they didn't break a sweat drawing all that and all I could think of was this would have cost so much more money and looked so much worse with the usual style you see in cartoons today. They get a LOT out of the sunday strip artstyle, man.
Now, any complaints? Sure. About the Lola one, I don't have any real gripes except that twice, Lola pulled this face where her eyes recess into her face and her cheeks bulge up from the bottom for a smile. I hate that. They only started doing that veeeery once in a while, maybe only once or twice a season, ever since s6 I think, but I don't think it looks good. Again, I've always been a big proponent of sticking with the established expressions. Might seem nitpicky but I don't like to see them pull faces like that, it doesn't look right. It wasn't even some full blown meme Gumball shit (like we saw in the previous episode), infinitely more subtle and tasteful compared to that, but still.

Now, for the Shiloh episode, my review is a little more complex. Again, this is a Lynn episode as much as a Shiloh episode, really more of a Lynn episode if I'm being honest, and she did have a great backing cast that cracked some pretty good jokes. Lincoln hopping the porch no sweat to go save Lily then getting tripped by Lola, Lola and Lisa fencing, Lola talking shit to Lana about her smell, plus a lot of those stunts were really cool. The message was a little soft, but you know what? That's exactly what Lynnfags have been asking for, some tenderness. Of course I did think it was funny and on-brand that she was not going to relinquish her belt to some punk kid just because, and I was slightly surprised that she defeated him in her chosen challenges with no trickery; I thought he was going to be better and she was going to get more and more desperate until finally resorting to cheating, so her defending her title honestly was a surprise. I was wondering what the point was in making it a best of three and then when she beat him twice in a row, I was thinking the competition's over, it didn't occur to me that they'd use the clean sweep to justify Shiloh's depression.

Anyway, it was a fine enough bottle episode, but not as good as the David Steel fanfilm one. It felt a little soft for me since the boy doesn't really look like a six year old, though I admit next to Lynn like at the end she really does look much older than him. Hmm. I'd say it was so-so. Nothing egregiously annoying, some impressive parts, but kind of a Barney the Dinosaur-style episode overall, a little soft. But that's fine. I'll take a little soft over too hard any day. That's always been the criticism with Lynn in s5 and s6, that she was too hard. Showing some tenderness here and bringing her back to center is a good move. Competitive but good spirited, not a cheater, not a cunt. Shiloh as a character is definitely weak, but like I said, he's a cousin Oliver. He's really there more to bring out Lynn's inner feelings, doubt and gentleness and in that he succeeded.
So, overall, solid couple of episodes. First one better than the second one but neither a stinker. The streak remains alive. I hope the ones next week are good too. For now, I'm going to watch the Lola episode again, I feel like there might be more details I missed and I want to actually pause in that mall and get a better look around.
Oh yeah, btw, I heard that they're releasing new Loud House episodes from s10 mid week or something? I think someone posted about that in the last thread, but I can't see anything about it on ontvtonight. Does anyone have any details?

Damn, I'm just rewatching now, really enjoying as we go into the mall, only to see a big banner Lola walks past that reads "The Spirit Of The American Mall Is Alive And Well!" No attention is drawn to it but it seems a cool detail considering I was talking about exactly that earlier. Anyway, here's a cute picture of the Snickerdoodle girls. The blonde is my favorite.

Lola's episode was good, though it fits the later Loud House style of now characters realize they were wrong themselves and decide to fix it. It was interesting to see on of the non Scoots or grandparents retirement home characters it's was nice for that. I know it fits with her, but it is funny that Lana is the only scout not wearing a skirt. The Shiloh-Lynn episode was fine too. Interesting for Lynn, it's probably the first time she's had a younger person in her family who looks up to her in the same things she likes to do. It also shows that she would probably have had a tough time if another sporty Loud existed. It was also nice to see Lana, Lola. Lincoln, Lisa, and Lily just hanging out.
Interesting to show how Jack has shifted from being a lone wolf (or just being with his Mom) and wanting a BFF like Lily. I liked how the teen party wasn't rowdy or typical of what'd you see in shows.
I think the bee episode was fine, actually probably the weakest episode to me for this entire show. But still entertaining. Seeing the other grandparents was nice, though.

Rough Patch- Classic Lola episode therefore gem. SWABAG
THE GLOAT- Mutt centric fantastical leaning episode that just recycles the same Lynn is obsessed with winning at the cost of anger issues plot line since season 1. Didn't like it.
J-Lad: Didn't see it.
Big Honey- Hilarious seeing the family degrade like that.

By the way, Bernie was right about this. Food court sushi sucks ass. You have to go to a real sit down place if you want real food, a restaurant with its own space. Food court is for fast food only. Not sushi. Anyway, here's the original QT featured in the episode apart from the Snickerdoodle girls. Definitely a crazy bombshell like the waitress girl, but still, she's new.

Dang, wait! I forgot about this one! You know, with as deep as they were going with these deep cuts, I was really expecting the masseuse girl from when the Louds won that free stay in that hotel to show up again, the one that was forced to give a massage to Mr. Sprinkles the teddy bear. Okay, that's all my screencaps from my rewatch lads, hope you enjoyed them and the ep.

Hey dude, it's good to see you! Enjoyed reading your review. That's a pretty interesting observation that now the characters seem to realize when they fuck up without anybody having to tell them, I hadn't thought about that. Anyway, apart from that, I agree with you. It did feel really good just watching the younger sibs hanging out in the driveway together. That was a cool little club they had going. I actually really dig that sort of thing a lot, the fact that it's not just helping each other out with their activities or problems but simply truly hanging out. I feel scenes like that give the whole, I guess you could say overarching thing, something more. By the way, I see you watch Wilde Pak. What episodes of that show would you recommend I watch?

Guys, I really can't find the other thread where someone mentioned it and posted a screencap of the schedule because there were like four Loud House threads up at the time. Does *anyone* know about how supposedly they're starting to air season 10 tomorrow or something? I only see the Cupid episode and that's in a week.

Yeah it is a nice touch. Also liked it was a Lola doing something for scouting too.
The first episode of WyldePak (Best Summer Ever?) is the best start since it sets everything up. A Waste of a Perfect Summer Day , The Three Ravens, Sungandeul, are some good ones. I'll say, for me, it's hard to find an episode that's not good.

Shit, you definitely don't have to tell me that. I was just thinking something like that but not in so many words since I don't like to name names. But the class this show has is so...ridiculously undeniable. This is the way this stuff is supposed to look like and play like. And it's not that I didn't used to give other shows a chance either but geeze. You know it's come to the point I won't even watch other new stuff now? Fuck that, the only cartoons I'll watch are The Loud House, anything related to the TLH franchise, and I'm interested in Wilde Pak because it passed my smell test, the parts I watched I mean, and the showrunner is a dude Savino handpicked for a high position in the original TLH crew and praised highly, so it's definitely got the looks and the pedigree. To tell you the truth I'm still really shocked Molly McGee was so roughly handled in s2. I still don't really understand it. That show could have been something, damn. Though no matter what it still had one good season and that's infinity more good seasons than almost anything airing today has.

That's a pretty ringing endorsement man, and I'll take it from you. Are the episodes up on flixtor or fluxtor or whatever that site's called? My HDD is pretty full and I'd like to watch that opening episode before I commit to the full season download. But BOY is it nice to have a good cartoon aside from TLH, I'm already feeling more and more positive about it thanks to the buzz from dudes like you. Genuine buzz from a Loudfag I know means more to me than a million spam threads. You vouch for it, huh? As a matter of fact, fuck it. Can anybody link me a mega or DL of the first Wilde Pak episode?

It’s a huge problem: she doesn’t get any time to herself, so we don’t have any reason to get to know her. All we know is that she’s a Filipino and that’s basically it. We don’t even get a glimpse of her family. Compare that to ‘Craig of the Creek’ where we got an episode where Craig has to visit the Sewer Queen’s house and we get to see her family’s dynamics. It doesn’t need that much to give her a life outside of Lincoln’s gang.

Yeah we've gotten to know Zach, what his family is like to a point and they've developed him , Liam has gotten the most outside of Clyde. Rusty, even with the weirdness about his brother, we learned about his father and what he does and etc. And really only Liam has gotten episodes outside the group totally. Stella could have gotten that too, but somehow hasn't. That's probably why she's considered the weakest friend.

Yes, I love that fucking show and I'm still pissed that the writer/actor's strike robbed us of a season 3. TRLH is actually a lot like the first three or four seasons of TLH in its overall sensibilities. It's definitely not perfect, personally I find the characters slightly too mean on occasion, not Ed Edd and Eddy tier but still, however it's still a very cool and worthy addition to the franchise in my opinion. It's definitely better as a whole than the live action movies (though I admit I do have a soft spot for the Christmas one). I still remember the ending of the banana split episode where the kids gleefully pour out of the house into the gorgeous sunshine accompanied by that awesomely nostalgic melty summer guitar riff. I think that was that show's first truly great moment and it really hit its stride after that.
>>
>>152324944
You guys are right that it's surprising Stella is the only friend that hasn't gotten a focus episode yet. It reminds me of how TCG gave all of Ronnie Anne's friends besides Nikki Nikki you're so fine you're so fine you blow my mind hey Nikki a focus episode.
By the way, you know, they were called Snickerdoodles in this episode, but they used to be called Blue Bells, right? Or am I misremembering? Isn't that lady the scout leader from the Blue Bells episode? I don't think it's a different organization. And considering they demonstrated some pretty deep knowledge of the show with the Lindsay Sweetwater thing and the reappearance of the Gus's girl, I don't think they just forgot the name either. It makes me wonder if they ran into some kind of trademark trouble with it, like how they had to change the Full House gang to the Full Deck gang because, I assume, trouble with Full House the tv show. It couldn't possibly be the ice cream, right?

Just wanted to mention that the twenty fifth issue celebration Loud House comic book, at least the hardcover version, has this pretty cool shiny silver effect surrounding the cover. Not sure if it's like that for the paperback version too. I just got it and I hadn't seen anyone mention it before. The new tenth year anniversary comic came out three days ago on the 27th, as did the new Casagrandes comic book. I got them pretty late in the day so by the time I ordered there were only eight copies of the TLH one and two copies of the TCG one (of the hardcovers), though it said more stock was on the way. I think I must have missed the cuttoff with the TCG one even then because the TLH one already shipped but the TCG one hasn't.
This is TLH 25 by the way. The smoke from Lisa's test tube isn't this flat, dull grey color on the actual physical book cover, it's bright, shiny, semi-reflective silver. Pretty cool looking actually and it does make it feel more special.

Super neat. It's great how they're still doing even TCG comics and how frequently they release these things. It'd be great if they did more of the 3-in-1 boxed sets or started rereleasing these in fat combined actual omnibus format.

Because that's a genuinely mighty nonsense.
Seriously, if breaking up the Lincoln x Ronnie Anne relationship was already a considerable source of friction with the fandom, doing the same with this couple, whose relationship has been extremely organic and much loved by fans, is the height of shamelessness and shows a lack of foresight.
And as I already mentioned in the previous thread where the episode synopsis were revealed, including the Lori/Bobbi ones: "It's a shark jump with a bomb vest strapped to it and loaded with C4; I honestly don't know which direction this is going in or for what's the purpouse (and if I have to guess, it sounds like a copycat of those series with a relationship conflict that's more of a nonsensical mess than a competent one in that area...)..."

Yeah man, it really is. Sid, my beloved...Anyway, that's why I laugh when I see anons panicking about some supposed Lori/Bobby breaking up storyline. Forget the fact they've been together since before the beginning of the series, forget the fact they've been together ten years in real time: there is simply no way they're going to sever the link that connects The Louds to The Casagrandes. It's an obvious fake-out.

Non ironic I find it funny how the most important impact the live action had is the weird amount of lesbians attracted to Lynn jr(live action) I know is because of the actress, but still my point is there, like, there's fanfics and chatbots about her being lesbian for a random girl self insert.
That makes me think that would be better if she was the lesbian and not luna, I can imagine the chaos lynncolnfags and lesbilynn fast would create

You know, I hate to sound like a dorky activist, but I'm starting to think the bisexuals are right: bisexual erasure is a real phenomenon and one I don't really understand the cause of. Luna is a bisexual, she was lusting out of her mind for that tutor dude. The whole thing is so unambiguous. Though, kek, I do remember that one tweet that said something like "THE WRITERS ARE COOOWARDS FOR NOT MAKING LYNN LESBIANS WITH ZIA!" I didn't spend much time in the TRLH fandom because it was mostly concentrated on TikTok and other normie social media sites. I do remember one post where a lot of chicks were thirsting pretty badly for Wolfgang, the Lincoln actor, and there was this one sped that kept responding to EVERY single one of those posts (there were at least fifty, not counting the chain replies agreeing) saying "you know he's thirteen right!?" and whenever some girl would answer, there was more than one that answered this way btw, "but I'm also thirteen." she (I assume it was some possessive tumblr girl, would be too sad it if was a guy) would respond with "well he's still not gonna bang you!" or something to that effect. The normienet can be pretty interesting if you treat it like an anthropological kind of thing. It was also the first time I ever saw the word rizz. It was a woman saying "that kid rizzed me out.", hahahaha
Watching Wylde Pak by the way. Jack's mom is pretty fucking hot.

I just find it funny, nothing more, and the bisexual erasure? Well, I know people usually interpret bisexual characters as being either straight or homo depending of their actual partner, like what happen with luna, that we know the tlh staff is regretting the Hugh episode because without it they could fully promote luna as being a lesbi, but that episode happen .

Yeah, TOTAL fucking false memory. I guess because I thought that's the way those competitions usually play out. I cannot for the life of me recall any other instance in animation where a boy and a girl compete for the romantic affection of a bisexual (?) dude. Luan: fucking Malkavian
Lynn: Brujah

Alright, just watched the first half of Wylde Pak. You guys were right, this show is good. I can't believe it, a show besides The Loud House that is actually good. Kyle Marshall knows what it takes to make a good cartoon. Though there is one thing about it that, I won't sugarcoat it, makes me nauseous, and that is the fucking...I don't know what to call it, the framerate when certain characters move, sometimes it looks like they're missing like two or three keyframes, it's like a slideshow. It's that fucking Spiderverse style, I really hate that, man, fuck the guys that invented it. Apart from that this show is legit good enough to watch. Rarest of rare jewels, a modern cartoon that is actually watchable and can be recommended with no reservations. Pretty amazing.
Great artstyle. I mean REALLY great art. I understand that the framerate thing is probably so they can devote more resources to the environments which do look incredible. Great lighting, especially when they flex it. Good character designs and character dynamics. I'm enjoying watching these two grow closer, and the stepmom and dad are cool too, especially the stepmom who's probably lowkey the funniest (and sexiest) of the bunch. Some good soulful moments like Jack and his mom in front of the waterfall in the first episode or Lily and Jack at the top of the town after having a day adventure, thing's got a little pathos, some heart, all things I dig. Very cool locations like Abandoned Disney Island as well. Overall, it's just a very well made show, it's got class. The fps is still making me nauseous this deep in, and I regard it as a pretty serious flaw, but I will endure it because everything else is of such excellent craftsmanship.

>>152345776
That said, I do have to admit it's got some slight weak spots in writing here and there in parts of some episodes, but that's really nothing compared to the writing problems with the shit they run today. That part of it is solid overall, given I'm comparing it to the classics, not the current field. My biggest crit of it apart from the framerate is that some episodes can feel kind of meandering and not tightly focused enough.
Anyway, pretty good cartoon. I still think TLH is comfortably in a league of its own (sorry man, but TLH's cast is just too much to overcome for anything) but Wylde Pak is definitely better than pretty much every /co/ darling from this decade that I can think of, at least in my opinion. Honestly it's really so many leagues above the typical stuff that gets posted around here lately that it's kind of crazy. This show is cool, dude, why isn't it getting more love from this board? Does it really just come down to a lack of muh lore?
>>
>>152339588

You know, the fart thing is just regular kid comedy, you see that everywhere. What I found unusual about Wylde Pak in terms of bodily function is how much puking there is. I don't think it's a fetish or anything before anyone starts with that but it did strike me.
>>
Oh yeah, and a couple more things about Wylde Pak. I really like the relationship between Jack and his stepmom. That chick is pretty cool man, she's really nice to her stepson. I would even go as far as to say there is a little bit of intrigue in that relationship there, to a luster like me. Everyone ships Jack and Lily and that's totally fair and totally right but if you want to take a walk on the wild side, consider Jack x Min. I know it's not real incest, and thus disgusting, but the /ss/ aspect somewhat makes up for that, in my opinion and gives it something interesting to make up for it. Plus it's like a real stepson/stepmom relationship too, not some 'we just got remarried, meet your new stepmother', there's an actual past there so that gives it more imo. That moment when he accidentally called her mom was cool. Fuck, there was tension. I like it when it's complicated.

Exif data requires an app to view on a mobile device. Using a desktop OS (MacOs, Windows, Linux, etc), you can check the image properties and you'll find the exif data. This can include image orientation which apps will use to display the "intended" viewing orientation without changing the actual file data. Exif data can also contain geolocation information, camera/device model, photo settings, etc. 4chan automatically deletes this data to prevent people from self doxing themselves. This, however, has not stopped people from figuring out someone's location using other cues. Exif data is primarily used for image categorization and sorting.

Audiences probably aren't attached/invested to Luan and Benny. And they probably want to be a bit careful with how they portray Luna and Sam.

What's funny is Luna and Sam are the weakest couple In the series. Luna is like the only sister without any real development as a character and Sam has never really been developed. They are truly the pair of cardboard nothings.

Lola and Lana's birthday episode was a miss, but not because Lana was being gross and failing to realize it. The premise of the episode was that Lola would perform a serious prank on her twin so that she could have her own way with their party planning. The two of them are way too close for that. (It's implied in the Really Loud House and in the comics that they can read each other's minds, even.)
Lola would not deceive Lana like that; it's out of character for the twins to keep secrets from one another. The only exception I can think of is "A Tattler's Tale", where Lana joined the other siblings in keeping Lola out of their secret-sharing parties, and that problem was resolved early in the series.

Lana's my favorite, but there are some episodes where she's written oddly compared to other episodes. They write characters around the plots sometimes, even that pet sitting episode had a gag about the twins messing up their letters which was random.

I feel like there was a huge missed opportunity to actually show more of both of them. For Luna, we already have a fine example not just in the franchise (‘TRLH’), but also within the parent show (again, I believe “Purrfect Gig” was the best demonstration of how to write them together).

The Loud House and Wylde Pak make for a pretty sweet double feature I have to say. Two shows with some actual class and distinction casually played back to back, in THESE lean times? Feels pretty decadent. The guy that said it's the best hour block on TV is on to something. I wasn't sure about the merging of the threads at first but if it's just while they're airing together, that's cool. Sweet to have a thread where we can talk about both and we can all hang out together. It's like an impromptu club where the cartoon watchers with taste can socialize with each other away from the people that like new cartoons besides these. It's nice.

Yeah this show is just gorgeous, I'm always taking note of the backgrounds, environments and lighting. It's one of those cartoons where if you take screenshot you often find yourself thinking they look good enough to be standalone art. It's like they didn't downgrade at all from the production/concept drawings. Even if someone doesn't like the show otherwise this makes it stand out.
>>152345833
>This show is cool, dude, why isn't it getting more love from this board?
Good question. Especially if only for the waifu shit, you're think there would be a lot of continuing buzz over Lily and Min especially. This board ignores a lot of great shows. (But then conversely is also like the only place on the internet to not ignore some other great shows, like Harriet the Spy and 12 Forever)
>>152349588
>consider Jack x Min.
Oh we are. We *really* are. And like you said it's not just because it's hot by default, but super amplified and a special case because they actually have good chemistry and get along so well. The show is serving up the basis for this ship on a silver platter. I really like the idea of her insisting he call her 'mommy' (especially in lewd situations).

>away from the people that like new cartoons besides these.
I'll give some funnily enough both opposing, yet totally in agreement perspective, so that you can get a different take that actually boosts up your opinion on the show even more so. I by contrast actually like modern cartoons, I'd say the vast majority of my favs are from the 2010s, but also completely agree that in this decade meaning the 20s, WP does really stand out and is exceptional. It's only the second cartoon of the decade that I've watched that I'd say I love (the other being TGAMM).
>>
>>152368976
>>away from the people that like new cartoons besides these.
Continuing..
I do agree though in the context of I feel rather the opposite of how most people seem to about the whole Indieslop boom of this decade. I've watched at least a few episodes of most of the super popular indie shows and they do absolutely nothing for me. They tend to range from wacky nonsense that I just don't really 'get' and feel meh about (Punch Punch Forever, TADC, Murder Drones, pretty much everything Glitch) to absolutely dreadful garbage that I downright couldn't stand (Helluva Hotel, Ramshackle). Ironically the only ones I kinda like and that look promising are ones that don't seem to be too popular (Pieces of Powder, Dungeon Flippers).
Everyone is fuckin losing it over these indie shows and saying they're so much better than what's on TV/made by major companies and are even 'saving animation' and the dawn of a bright future of what new great cartoons can be and blah blah blah, but for my part I full on just don't get it. (Maybe it's because all this stuff is directly written for and pandering to Gen Z-A in a way that nothing before has).
So with that caveat, yeah, I totally agree with you, haha.
>>
>>152369093
Oh man. That generational thing you mentioned is a very disquieting thought and not something I had considered. Like I said, I don't name the shows I think are bad specifically because I don't want to provoke their fans into coming in here and bitching and moaning. Nothing can be gained even if I did convince them in an argument their shows are shit, it would just make them unhappy, and why would I want that? What I want is for there to be more actually good shows and most of all I don't want my fandom polluted with stupid tumblr people like some fandoms I won't name but I'm sure you can guess. What I'm trying to say is that I would love it if every new show was as good as Wylde Pak.
Anyway, here again I sound like a sneering asshole, but I really don't think much of Gen Z. I think they're really unfortunate in a lot of ways that I don't want to get into because it's political, but it reminds me of that Kung Pow: 'we trained them wrong, as a joke'. I don't think the reason most cartoons are so bad now is because they're considering their sensibilities, I just think industry standards have dropped, just like they've dropped across all industries. The 'enshitification' of society or so I've heard. When a show can hang on to good professional standards, I think that's when you get something.
>>
>>152369093
By the way, I also hold Molly in high regard. What gets me is that with good shows becoming so absurdly rare, something of the obvious quality of WP should have /co/ jumping out of its skins to bang the drum for it because the field is complete and utter fucking garbage in comparison, and it's plain to see. Watching one of these new shows is like a fucking punishment, and they have some of the lamest fucking fandoms ever on top of that. Any rational person that likes cartoons should be going absolutely crazy for a show like Pak that's like a diamond among a sea of sewage, and the fact that they aren't is...Shit, maybe you're right, it could just be this board becoming young and stupid as anyone from a generation that wasn't intellectually wrecked ages out of 4chan. That's a disquieting thought, and I prefer to hope that's not true. Anyway, no matter how dysfunctional a generation is or how lame the stuff they've been weaned on is, I don't believe you can train someone to sincerely believe bad shit tastes good and good shit tastes bad. I do think there are certain objective metrics for quality that are going to be desired no matter what, it's why adults find themselves drawn to Bluey for instance despite it being for literal toddlers, they're responding to the fact that it's well made. I don't watch that show, but I understand what's going on.
WP's relatively humble popularity on /co/ is something I find really perplexing and something of an indictment of the board's taste, in my opinion. This is the kind of new cartoon that should be getting the most crazed, fanatical support because apart from The Loud House, there's really nothing on right now if you like good cartoons besides WP. It's not the most barren it's ever been, because there's been moments in time where there was literally NOTHING besides The Loud House, but still. It's very odd. For me seeing a block of TLH and WP on TV almost makes it feel like animation hasn't collapsed.

It's not just your imagination. It started in season 7 but TLH's quality has definitely been trending in an upward trajectory since the first road trip episodes. I noticed it too, and commented on it in these threads. I'm really pleased about it myself, it's unusual for a show to get a second wind of quality like that after going through a couple of sub-par seasons. Not to throw seasons five and six completely under the bus, since I still watched every episode and still preferred it to any other cartoon airing at the time, but they weren't (broadly) as good as the seasons that came before it or the ones that came after it, imo. In any case, those seasons still had very good individual episodes but s7 and s8 feel like good seasons. Not to the level of 1-3, but still, good seasons. I think the season getting leaked and bingewatched might have led to people not noticing this but since I restrict myself to watching each episode only once it airs my perspective might be a little different, I've definitely been noticing the episodes have a higher consistent quality than before with each premiere. Not that it's been perfect of course, just on average.

which season was leaked?
i did watch a few episodes per day for months, i know that 4 episodes per day it's 46 days(372 segments/186 episodes) but i was watching like two episodes per night and then started watcheng 2 to 4 in the last weeks when i hit season 5, season 4 sucked so much because of the casagrande episodes.
it's so bleak that last season have just 13 episodes, actually you can watch 186 episodes very fast if you use 2 hours per day(4 episodes)
>>
>>152371955
I'm fuzzy about the leak itself but season 8 aired overseas months before it aired in the US. Anyway, that thirteen episode season thing isn't real, it's produced as a twenty six episode season that they split in two. The reason they're doing it like that is because, so I've heard, they can only release it to streaming once the season has been fully aired on TV, so splitting them means the 'season' gets fully aired quicker and thus on streaming quicker. They did the same thing with Wylde Pak.

https://comicbook.com/tv-shows/news/nickelodeons-the-loud-house-parodi es-classic-tv-series-in-anniversary -valentines-special-first-look-excl usive/
The Loud Family is celebrating their 10-year anniversary, and in celebration of that grand achievement, Nickelodeon is debuting not one, not two, but four brand new animated specials of The Loud House throughout the month of February. The Valentine’s Day festivities also made it a perfect chance to parody a classic TV series at the same time, and not only do we have all the details on all four specials, but we also have an exclusive first-look clip you can watch below.
https://youtu.be/6LWR19yyTH0
The Loud House will air four new Valentines-themed episodes throughout the month of February, and that includes the February 27th episode Living the Dream Boat. As you can see in the clip below, Lori ends up becoming the next bachelorette on The Dream Boat dating show, which is a parody of The Dating Game with a little Love Boat and The Bachelorette thrown in for good measure. Obviously, Bobby is pretty bummed by all this, and so he sets out to sneak his way onto the boat to win Lori back.
Cupid’s Harrow – Friday, Feb. 6 – Leni accidentally causes trouble for Lori and Bobby while taking calls on her and Miguel’s dating podcast. Guest star: Tonatiuh as Miguel.
My Phony Valentine/ Man of my Schemes – Friday, Feb. 13 – On Valentines Day, Rusty and his girlfriend, Amber, must hide their love when they realize their parents are business rivals. Then, when Lori sees a photo of Bobby with another woman on social media, she decides it’s time to start dating again. Guest star: Paul Scheer as Gus.
Bean Dreams – Friday, Feb. 20 – Lori explores a potential career path after her boss
suggests she has a strong future within the Burnt Bean organization.

If I had to honestly choose between these options as a conclusion, I'd go with Lori and Bobby; because it's at least it would be decent and fitting for the franchise to have the characters in a single memorable moment. (And yes, the Casagrandes too, at least with the Santiago family since they're originally part of TLH)... And frankly, any more arcs, spin-offs, or specials? Definitely not. Honestly, I expect a final season coming soon, it just makes sense at this point, a time skip might be good to give conclusions to the loud and to specially to see the future, in case they want to set up a hypothetical continuation in some decades.
Also a time skip could catch attention from normies and ex fans, like, they did that when they made Lori and bobby breakup miniarc, that kinda work, so I can see a time skip happening so they can attract people to see the louds future and ending, it can end with Lori and bobby's wedding, or whatever they plan to do with Lincoln.

The show didn't blow it's load early on concepts for the family and we see it's a good thing it didn't because we're 9 seasons, 2 spin offs and multiple movies in and we still get some fun eps that don't feel like late season FOP
