Seeing Miles swear is weird. That's not just me right? I know he has a loosely defined personality but swearing doesn't really fit that

If they're not gonna bring back the marriage this is the only big thing they can do. God this is so lame. I'm gonna go see what's happening in one of the DC story times. Thanks OP.

I wonder if an older guys that stopped reading comics years ago see this stuff and think what the fuck is going on.

So 15 more issues till 1k huh? That should be fun

I posted it like a week ago so "called it" is a stretch

So are Ned, Phil, and Kafka dead or just badly beaten?

They well make "Gobloks" out of them later.

At least I can still cling to my last, tiny sliver of hope that Ben will eventually be fixed.

Honestly it may be for the best that he does just leave after this.

>Norman loved Emily
>losing her is repeatedly stated to have made him worse
>it is literally shown through him falling in love again
>she faked her death for reasons, abandoning her son to a lonely Norman
>Harry died thinking she was dead
but we’re supposed to think she’s in the right? Completely retarded
>>
>>152374387
Yeah can't ruin him if he never shows up. It's what Miguel learned. He got back in time to his fiancee and kid and has probably gotten a few more kids by now
>>
>>152374149
What the hell is this house? In all the Red Goblin / Misery stuff they lived in a high-rise, right? Why would the CEO of a massive company live in a place like that?
>>
>>152374106
God, Junior's art is a mess, you can tell Miller had a bad influence on him and that Jr is the Goro Miyazaki of the company.
>>
Was marvel really that ass hurt over usm doing better than asm that they destroyed the whole universe out of spit
>>
It was just kinda whatever. Not the big finale to Norman's run as the Resolute Spider-Man that I'd like, but I dunno how much of my disappointment is tied to the art. The whole sequence of Norman back on his glider and then fighting Kingsley just looks and feels so goofy. It really should've been a lot more dynamic, something about seeing Norman's mouth really throws off the whole picture of things.
>>
>>152374630
Is it a finale? He's gotta train the spider teens along with Jessica
>>
What has Norman taught us?
That we must be better men
>>
>>152374115
This renewed focus on Norman's dad is just making me wonder about his mom, who we only ever saw once and know nothing about, not even her name.
>>
>>152374711
The solicit for the first issue refers to him as the former Resolute Spider-Man, so while this isn't the end of good Norman, it's the end of Spider-Norman.
>>
that was it??? man this shit is so ass
>>
I'm glad Norman's still trying to actually be a good person. It's a better changing of the status quo than MJ and Peter not being together thanks to Paul's existence.
>>
>>152374145
Nah. ASM will probably be more Symbiote shit.

Or more likely, another OC villain who will “totally be Peter’s most scary threat yet! Totes!”
>>
>>152374115
I wonder if Kingsley didn't bother with Lily because she's in a coma or if he still has a soft spot for her from AXIS: Hobgoblin.
>>
>>152374187
I get heated rivalry vibes from this & I don't like it
>>
>>152374183
I like how Peter's boss is never going to question how/why he's with Norman when she's been trying to reach him all week
>>
>>152374126
Why are they all dressed as the Pied Piper?
>>
>>152374437
Ehhh, I disagree. He can still do the occasional pin-up if he actually has time for it. He's done interviews where he's explained that things get worse when he rushes, but that's part of having these deadlines (really old interview, basically explaining individual sections of books, not ENTIRE books). That said, he's deep into his 70s and clearly can't keep up with the workload. His stuff these days is terrible, and to get something on the level of even his early 00's work, let alone mid-90s work would probably take three times as long, if not longer.

I fucking hate modern Miller work; it looks like shit. I understand it on an art theory level, I see what he's getting at, but that doesn't mean I give a shit. JRJR doesn't have that reasoning behind his work - it's just falling apart.
>>
>>152374144
To be fair, it is directed toward Norman. I still get what you mean.
>>

>>152374819
How is Norman wearing a spider-man costume as a kid, before Spider-Man was made by Peter?
>>
>>152374187
The only Marvel book I'm still pulling is Spider-Man & Wolverine, which started weak but slowly started getting better at the end of the first arc, but now it's getting canceled so there's no Marvel books for me now. It literally feels like Marvel is making books for literally no one right now.

One of Harry's weird inventions was some mind probe thing that placed people in other people's memories, so that Peter in Norman's place.
>>
I’m all psyched up for Norman’s training session now.
And hey, Captain Kinsugi survived too.
Norman has his entourage now.

21 issues in and Kelly’s run is better than Zeb’s, but it’s still utterly trite. It feels too much like Kelly’s just checking boxes off a list. I still feel Norman’s redemption arc is too half-assed and I’m not anymore endeared to him now than I was with Wells.
>>

>>
>>152379726
>>why is norman pretending to be spider-man?
Spidey got beat up by some Space Spartan and thrown on a planet. He hung out with Rocket and a bunch of randoms for a bit until coming back. Norman's going threw his whole "morality complex" shit after getitng his "sins" ripped from him. Long, shiitty story so I won't elaborate.

>>what happened to Peter?
See above. He's back on Earth because's he's "stronger" now. (training arc + new living technosuit he'll abandon within 2 issues)

>where's MJ in all of this?
She's Venom now whereas Eddie is Carnage. I will not elaborate on this either.
>>
>>152379726
>why is norman pretending to be spider-man?
He got mephisto shotgunned and his "sins" were removed (and later became a demon entity), Peter naturally didn't have any of it and chewed him out until the next run where they became best pals, except Peter was only pretending in order to keep an eye on him, only not really and he actually did like Norman as a father figure since the old times (???). Since then, Norman is a vaguely violent and unhinged but well-meaning hero and no one really cares about his track record despite the stories trying to establish otherwise in narration. Norman decided to cosplay after his disappearance, 'keep his dream alive'.
>what happened to Peter?
Got slapped and abducted to space by a low quality Morlun expy in order to pull a low quality GOTG mini down to Rocket Racoon tagging along.
>where's MJ in all of this?
Molecularly bound to and kept alive by the symbiote and vice-versa. Went to tell Peter the news only to get told off by Ben pretending to be Peter for... no in-universe reason whatsoever, just Kelly throwing readers a bone. Hasn't showed up since.

>>152379804
I'd hope not, but apparently office policy states that as redheads the Osborns are to be assigned to unlikeable black girls. Poor Normie.

>>152374145
They're so creatively bankrupt that the only possible thing they can do for ASM # 1000 is: "Peter Parker is Spider-Man!"

When will Disney just lay off everyone at Marvel? This is the worst the company has ever been and that's really saying something.
>>
>>152374265
I would but I know how bad the writers are so I can't ever say I'm surprised or confused. I just know it's going to be terrible and don't read it. Instead, I'm re-reading Spider-Man from the beginning, skipping the Clone Saga, then stopping before I get to Civil War unless it gets really stupid then I'll just stop when it gets too stupid and say: "Well, that was it for Spider-Man!"

One nice thing about growing up in the 90's-00's is you're used to your stories like this not really getting a definitive ending. It just had a bunch of cool episodes and then they stopped making more.
>>
>>152374520
It's because they're still planning to kill Peter off or have him retire by issue 1,000 so Miles can be Spider-Man. White Genocide takes a precedence over everything else
