chapter 1 is already out.

its an adaptation of the 3 years comic. with my own art and dialog. Chapter 2 deviates slightly to introduce the drama elements, and generally be more wordy/ambitious, but it will be mainly fluff.

they dont speak, they barely emote, and their ability to express themselves through the story in any other way other than their children is limited. the two who do it the most is mom and dad through their scenes of romance.

dirk is like a character, so its actually possible to ship him with dave without it being a thinly veiled excuse to have someone to abuse dave for your slash fic.

my favourite act is act 1. i enjoy going back and watching andrew set up the pieces for later. most pesterlogs are to-the-point, and the ones that aren't still make me laugh. characterization is strong across the board, and there's some great observational humour (what is it with older people collecting clown stuff, anyway?)

dave is a great tutorial character. it's not even subtle - he's telling john how to use his inventory, how the combat system works, giving him objectives - but for some reason i didn't notice until recently.

He's a bit feral and wants to channel an animalistic nature and animals don't talk. As a result of his self inflicted damage the most he can do is make clicking noises with his throat. My other fantrolls(also need to rework) that associate with him don't know his name as he refuses to give it out.

Dave was chatting with Gamzee at his absolute worst after snapping and he still absolutely enjoyed every moment of their chat and presumably also the legendary rap-off. ok chapter 2's writing is officially done (barring any modifications i make along the way)

like i said i haven't had my glasses for about 4-5 days and without them looking at pc screens gave me a maaaajor headache, so progress was hella slow. sorry about that guys

But now that i have my new ones i speed blitzed the rest of the writing and can now create the drawings. It shouldn't take many. so expect about as many drawings as last time, maybe a little less.

this ones a dialogue and narration focused chapter. i cut down the flashback scene a lot to give it its own little mini chapter or comic sequence really.

so i guess now i draw tomorrow and on the weekend and there should be a new chapter ready by monday next week give or take a few days.

heres a sneak peak of jade almost blowing up in anger and then reeling back at the last second. I definently projected this "hates being told to calm down" personality trait onto her, but also it felt fun and doesn't effect to much. so yeah.

Well I had an idea for two fics but they were very similar so I just decided to combine them. First is that Dave has issues with food on the meteor. He's used to eating extremely processed foods and since Rose is the only one of them who can cook (and is not really that good at it) he finds it hard to eat it. Also he has a habit of hiding food around his quarters and it starts to rot and has to be told to stop doing that. Second is why Dave finds the mayor to be so charming, a non threatening childlike figure and spending time with him causes to Dave to age regress mentally in one instance and he gets caught, a fact that he finds extremely embarassing. Also yeah I can post it when it's done.
