lost about 40kgs in the span of a year (starting from 122 IIRC), then stayed around 80-82kgs for a couple years going slightly up and down

Slowly working back - lost 200lbs of (now)ex-wife and 20lbs of bodyfat since the autumn, doing 3x days per week of big four + hiit, and a day of running.

6'5", currently working to get below the BF in the pic on the right (Tough job had me drinking like a fish the past 2 years) but I was damn proud getting all the weight off at that point.
293 > 220 was almost effortless, just cleaned up diet to keto then carnivore and walked for abt an hour everyday listening to music. After that I had to switch to high protein carnivore to drop below 200 but the drinking and drinking-induced junk food cheats made it a bitch.
Hardest part was breaking out of the 190s range down to 176, but it came back, was in /fast/ and doing rolling 48s to get down to that. Was probably 18% bf here but sitting at 15.2% today with more muscle mass, working to 12.5% before I take a new progress pic.
Oh also my arms seemed to look way better back then, even though I was just doing one thing of chinups and decline pushups to failure at the time, bruh. Must've been the fasting HGH boost.

Yesterday was my first day at the gym, ever. Had to do stronglifts quarantine workout since all the shitty yuppie workplace gym had were dumbells and machines (but at least it's free).
I'm going to do cardio later today since I got winded with the dumbbell lunges. Trying to lose about 15 pounds and the gut, also trying to make sure my cholesterol doesn't get worse.

176cm 69kg 9 months of lifting. Gained 9kg in that timeframe. I can grab a thick layer of fat on my stomach and I hate it. I wanna get lean but it's hard to justify a cut when im still sub-70kg and small. I mentally wouldnt be able to go below like 64kg lol and idk if 5kg will make a significant difference in my body composition

I’d recommend just eating at maintenance, add in cardio, keep lifting. Maybe adjust your diet to be more protein heavy, change up macros instead of calories and pause the bulk but don’t necessarily cut.
I think that in 6 months you will lose that belly fat while continuing to make gains. You bulked too hard, sorry man. Now you’re in skinnyfat purgatory; cut? Rapidly deflate back to a skeleton. Keep bulking? Get fatter, have to cut even harder, wind up back at the start. It really really needs to stop now though.

Thanks for the input. The holidays sadly kinda wrecked my lean bulk a little. I gained atleast a kilo of fat by eating like a pig. Before that it was going relatively well and it felt like I was getting both leaner and bigger. I've decreased my Surplus from like 300 to roughly 100 now and trying to decide where to go from now onwards

I'm 29 right now, but I've been working out on and off for about 4 years now. Never actually took it that seriously to the point of dieting and such, and I still sort of don't, but my progress has been pretty good recently. I look pretty good in clothes, but I do have a fair gut on me when I'm not flexed. A cut wouldn't be bad, especially with summer coming up, but if you're comfortable with a bit of fat like you have now, you could always do a high protein recomp where you eat a relatively clean surplus on workout days, and do a pretty conservative cut on off days so you can still gain size without adding a ton of extra fat.

Heya sorry for the delay anon :c . Ive started doing bench w dumbells plus dips. Might sound simple but honestly once i got the form down perfectly and aligned it with a good rom i saw a significant progress in my chest and triceps. Also in regards to eating i was doing high proteins low carb/fat diet and ate a shit ton of chicken breasts most the of the time. Right now ive managed to cut down to 82 and this is where we at so far. Took about 3ish months to go down from the left pic w the regime i mentioned.

Can someone tell me if I leaned down whilst retaining my lifts (which always happens for me cause I cut sensibly) if I'd look twunkish? Been quite a learning curve this past 8 months for bulking. Unfortunately I only made a few good tweaks quite late (switching to arnold split in jan, and doing my curls BEFORE triceps and incorporating JM press). Have a LONG way to go but I can live with at least being twunk in summer rather than permabulk. I bench 110kg for reps, I'd say 120-125kg 1RM

My bulk ends at the end of Feb. It's been a blast eating whatever I want for months but I'm looking forward to cutting again too
