No i didn’t. You’re right.
I’m 40 years old this year. I’ve been training in some capacity for 15 years, and I wanted to start taking GH at a low dose to see if I got any of the joint and sleep benefits, I started 6 weeks ago and I’m getting my bloodwork done this week to see what it’s doing for me. It has improved my sleep, that’s all I can really say so far at this early stage…
I don’t know if you’re deluded about what growth hormone does, especially in the absence of anabolic steroids… but no, I built this physique naturally.

>wake up at 6am
>make the bed
>open all the windows regardless of the weather
>shower and shave
>put the kettle on the stove
>do sun salutations while waiting for the water to boil
>make green tea
>zazen while drinking tea
>close the windows
>make quick omelette
>go to work
I don't look at my phone until I'm walking out to my car, and I only check e-mails once I'm clocked in at work.

Started doing short morning walks after breakfast recently. Gets me outside for some light cardio, establishes my circadian rhythm, aids with digestion. Since I live less than a block from a small downtown area, I just wander around there for 20 or 30 minutes and tell random people "good morning", so I get my social reps in too.

My morning routine
>Wake up and get out of bed
>5 minutes deep squat for mobility
>Take a shower and wear some nice clothes
>Eat breakfast
>Go back to my bed, lie down and use 4chan or YouTube or listen to music to relax myself for the day.
Continue this until night arrives.

*jaw drops to floor, eyes pop out of sockets accompanied by trumpets, heart beats out of chest, awooga awooga sound effect, pulls chain on train whistle that has appeared next to head as steam blows out, slams fists on table, rattling any plates, bowls or silverware, whistles loudly, fireworks shoot from top of head, pants loudly as tongue hangs out of mouth, wipes comically large bead of sweat from forehead, clears throat, straightens tie, combs hair* Ahem, you look very lovely.

Yes, but it's no longer completely over the top. I have a set wake-up time, get some morning light, and then have breakfast. Everything else, such as breathing techniques, cognitive exercises, posture exercises, etc., I just do when I feel like it and have time for it. The biggest ROI comes from the things you do to make sure you've slept well, even more so than your morning routine.

>Why zazen, can you describe your practice, how long you do it for /have done it, and how you feel it benefits you?
I've been doing it for the last 5, maybe 6, years. I went to one of those secular 'meditation centers' when dealing with a lot of stress in college, and it sparked an interest in learning more about buddhism. The center just felt too sterile and corporate, but the more I read about zen in particular on my own time the more I enjoyed its pragmatism with practice while also not stripping away the religious aspects.
My practice is almost entirely my lifestyle because zazen on its own can only get someone so far. I meditate for 10 minutes twice a day (once after waking up and again before going to bed) and on Saturdays I only meditate once for an hour. I keep my apartment very minimalistic, clean and vacuum daily, and do laundry every evening. I only eat what I cook myself with a rice cooker and a braising pan, and only cook meat on the weekends. The change in lifestyle and accepting everything as it is has completely eliminated the anxiety I used to have, and I no longer need the anti-depressants I used to take.

For beginners its usually recommended to start with 30 seconds to a minute and work up. Sit in a position that's comfortable and focus on breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth. It's not about 'not thinking' so much as its about acknowledging a thought is happening and choosing to not engage with it. Similarly with feelings of discomfort while sitting or things happening around you. Start slowly and remember it takes time and consistency.
