I dont know why I keep doing this to myself, I am in a cycle now where most days I buy fast food and binge. KFC, pizza, mcdonaldsa nd all that stuff. I also smoke and I drink soda constantly. WTF am I doing? Why cant I just learn to cook like a normal human being? I hate this so much and I hate constantly spending all my money on this crap. I am not a young dumb teenager anymore, Im a fucking 28 year old man. No wonder Im a fatass and I need to change. Idk why im on this site of all places but its all i can turn to now.
Do any of you have experience binge eating? I want to know how you got out of it?

Im 25 and am currently in the same shape. Im transitioning into cooking shit at home. I got too damn sick of spending so much fuxking money on food thats gonna kill me. Dont get me wrong i still fail but im determined to get this down. My go to is lentil soup. Low effort, high nutrients, satiating. To cut my sweet cravings I mixed zero sugar Jello cheesecake mix into a tub of Greek yogurt and a splash of milk. I dont have much advice on how to stick with it, but im fighting along side you man. Keep it up. Your future self will thank you.

Eating disorders have nothing to do with food. It's a dopamine compensation mechanism for people who are unhappy with their lives. You need to sit down with no external stimulation and seriously think about why you are unhappy and seeking refuge with surges of dopamine from stuffing yourself with unhealthy foods. It could be your social circle, family circumstances, inherent depression, or even something like bipolar disorder. You have to be honest with yourself.
I wish you the best

I fucking miss him so much bros, I saw so much of myself in that dude. Autistic and isolated + an alcoholic. I may be a fat POS but at least I am sober now for 3 years. Annoys me he was able to stay somewhat skinny for so long.

No, but since you mention spending money on food: I am simply too fucking stingy to spend money on trash food. I buy only cheap, clean and easy to cook food, and that's all I ever eat. No snacking, no take out, nothing. If I am too lazy to cook or buy groceries, too bad, I'm not eating anything. There are too many other things I'd rather spend money on.

I used to binge eat McDonald's when it was cheap and I was skinny. Now it's expensive and I would be ashamed to go order 4 McDoubles and 2 McChickens like I used to anyway. If you really want to cook it has never been easier than now in the air fryer era. Buy a rice cooker with a steamer and have chicken, rice, and vegetables with two button presses.

...or throw the chicken in with the rice and have it with one button press... I don't like doing that though because the rice always comes out too soggy on mine. It's still perfectly edible though.

My most cooked thing in an air fryer is just chicken thighs with whatever seasoning or sauce I feel like. I made chicken fajita mix with chicken breast yesterday.

my favorite for fajitas is mccormick premium taco seasoning I think it's good enough I didn't bother trying anything else

supposedly that's a popular dish in China. I personally take the skin off the chicken if I make it because I don't want unbrowned chicken skin.

First, put your sweets and soda out of your view. Don't leave them in your bedroom or your living room where you can just instantly pick them up, put them in cupboards in the kitchen. When you walk into the kitchen, they shouldn't be immediately visible.
Next, when you want something, wait. Fill out your cart for whatever fast food you want, but don't hit order. Give it 10mins. If you still want it after that time period, then get it. But use that waiting period every time. This'll help with your quick decisions that aren't really in your best interest.
That waiting also goes for any soda or sweets. Get a cup of soda, get a few sweets, take them into your living room/bedroom/whatever, and wait. Maybe you'll forget them and you can have them later, or tomorrow. Actually, if it's soda, have an equal amount of water first, and use that as your waiting period.
