CICOsisters...our response?

CICO is correct for weight loss and is only ever talked about in regards to weight loss.
For muscle building, etc, everyone knows that 2000 calories of protein-rich food is completely different from 2000 calories of lays potato chips and soda.
CICO "deboonkers" erroneously talk about the latter without acknowledging that any talk about CICO is regarding the former. It's like saying that planes are useless because tiny islands don't have airports when that isn't the fucking point of an airline service.

I am not a sister, because I am not a woman. but yes eating 2000 calories of carbs is going to do different things to your body composition than eating 2000 calories of protein. nobody is doing either of those things by themselves though so I'm not sure what point this shitskin was trying to make.

what a normal comparison everyone experiences. I must consume 2000 calories of cheese and butter OR 2000 calories of only steak!
We've all been there before kek and lmao. Just eat a fucking normal diet of meat, veg, and carbs.

grifters try and overcomplicate simple shit constantly. DYELs will do anything but the most basic shit and cry when they don't see instant results like the grifters promised. Scuttling from one scam to the next to avoid any effort.

>body fat and muscle mass don't matter
CICO is literally half the equation, but the other half is macros, with a somewhat small contribution from timing your meals.
>eat less
Lose muscle
>eat more
Gain fat, visceral depending on what you're eating more

Can confirm. I cut protein to 0.8 g/kg and stayed skinnyfat at BMI 15.3. I lost all of my muscle and none of my fat.
Staying under 1g/kg at that weight requires a conscious effort, and even then residual protein adds up.

>grifters try and overcomplicate simple shit constantly
because people don't want to hear simple solutions. because if a solution is simple and yet the problem persist, that means it is 100% their own fault.
note, simple and easy are not necessarily always the same thing.

>Yeah, by going out of your way to find extremely fringe theoretical diets that no one eats.
The problem is that most modern fat people's standard diets are extremely different than the way they should be eating.

>hormones dictate
>says absolutely nothing regarding it just 2k protein not the same as 2k carb lul
The biochemistry involved in breaking down proteins for ATP versus carbs/sugars is well understood, it's also a bit seperate from kcals, but ultimately pretty similar in results, which is why the calorie system is still used as analogous for our energy storage/expenditure. Proteins are the hardest to breakdown and provide the least ATP, sugars aren't the densest in ATP but usually easiest to break down, and fat are the most energy dense, though the body has to spend a bit of energy breaking it down

even when I ate nothing but microwavable slop during my studies I didn't gain any weight.
it was a shit diet and definitely not good for my health, but when your only concern is weight, it doesn't really matter what you eat as long as you do not overconsume.
>>
>>
>>77055634
Now the body has other uses for all these macronutrients apart from ATP production, sure and depending on what your body is prioritizing it can alter this a bit, sure. I guess this is where hormones are involved where they can influence the priorities, but at the end this is kind of minor, ATP production is basic biology and some goofy hormones aren't gonna turn you into an alien, meaning the combustion chemistry of calories is still a very good analogy in measuring your energy storage/expenditure.
>>
>>
You can’t gain mass if you poop pee sweat and breathe out more mass than you take in. Calories are an approximation of energy your body can extract from a given mass of a type of macronutrient via the processes involved in breaking it down into useful form. In other words, mass in - mass out = change in mass = weight gained lost or maintained

you didn't read past the first line. Absolute retard shit.

You're just making an appeal to the absurd
A diet of cola and chips is not sustainable no matter if its for weightloss or musclebuilding
Pointless bickering
CICO works for anything if you're not eating a subhuman diet

Yeah, but ironically a steak diet will make you fatter than pasta diet
>>
>>
>>77055407
Cico works as far as you eat less you lose weight you gain more when you eat more but yeah it doesn't account for the fact that your body can go into starvation mode and lower your metabolic rate or if you overeat rise it and can do it at random and you wont even realize it.
It's indeed a stupid dogma and pseudoscience that assumes your body is a closed system who reacts to all calories the same, but the original idea is innocent
It should also be noted how most labels and food infographics only count calories and nutrients pre-cooking and without accounting for oils often. And eating vegetables messes with your hormonal profile due to the glyphosate and all the other pesticides and anti-nutrients

I'm just posting this right here and then I'm going to leave the thread so I'm not going to see any replies. Anyone who actually take this bait at this point and gets into these arguments in these stupid CICO threads, you really need to reevaluate how much free time you have on your hands and how easily you can be manipulated.

hormones, metabolic- and other body functions dictate how well your body sheds fat and holds muscles
eating empty calories all day is not the same as eating healthy wholefood even though on paper it’s the same calorie amount
yes most hambeasts could loose a lot of weight just cutting the junk they eat in half
but if you are in a normal range and want to cut towards single bodyfat digit you better eat healthy if you don’t want to crash every function in your body and just end up skinny fat
and you better sleep well because bad sleep fucks with your ability to lose weight a lot
same as starving ourself vs burning the extra calories with some cardio and weightlifting to aid your body
If you just want to gain muscle and weight you basically just reach your protein minimum and fill up the rest with empty calories and you will end up not much different as going more protein to carb ratio and you will have better workout progression so probably better faibs with more carbs

yes balanced really is the way animal fat at the very least 60 grams, carbs at the very least 100 grams for cortisol, protein at the bare minimum 120 grams this is the minimum you need for a cut(im assuming you do since 80% of amerilards are overweight)even still you just scale that shit up for your needs

Foods use "bioactivity" to modulate your body composition and metabolism independent of calories. This is why diets don't strictly adhere to thermodynamics; some foods even literally make you hotter or colder.
>t. knower

>>77055511
This, you are not above the law of thermodynamics.
>BUT MY HECKIN THYROID
You're altering the rate of which you burn or use calories. This doesn't change anything. IT IS CLEARLY STATED. BURN MORE CALORIES THEN YOU USE AND YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT.
>>
>>
>>
While this is true it's a bit like arguing about a 2% interest rate savings account versus a 2.5% interest rate savings account when really what the person needs to do to save money is stop ordering uber eats 5 times a week

>But even if it's the twinkie diet and you lose weight, you're going to feel bad all the time
Okay, then making sure you get enough protein, get some fiber, fruit, and generally making better choices is going to make you feel full and make the whole thing managable
I literally could put it together, use a TDEE calculator, and lost 35lbs when I was in high school. The second I was introduced to the sticky I used it effectively. How can you all be so fucking stupid?
