can you realistically get jacked just from doing calisthenics/bodyweight ?

You can get jacked doing literally anything as long as you eat well and progressively overload via weight or rep count or some other form of intensity. People get jacked doing nothing but fucking dancing.

Extremely ineffective but possible, not for your lower body and not great for all the muscles in your back

No one gets jacked dancing, even people trying to get jacked doing everything right often fail

Google some dancers buddy.
>even people trying to get jacked doing everything right often fail
Entirely incorrect, if they were "doing everything right" then they would definitionally be jacked barring some medical condition that makes getting jacked physically impossible. They are obviously doing something (usually sleep / diet / progression) wrong.

You cant get jacked, but you can look like a tasty twink. You wont be able to get big, but you can be lean at like 130lbs. The problem is that even with bodyweight, doing more and more reps with the same exercise, just leads to you adapting to that movement, you need to increase the stimulus in some way to promote muscle growth, ie use weights.

as much as I would like too, not optimal.
I used to bang push ups and pull ups by the hundreds, and the minute I bought a weighted vest, I made tremendous progress.
However: that's basically all you need to add.
A weighted vest of 45 pounds will take you very very far.
For some shit, like training shoulders with hspu, which is very demanding, you might not even need it, as you'll be content before.
Again, it's a matter of goals.
Some people are actually passionate about this lifting endeavor, or will never be satisfied and want to push the progressive overload forever.
If that's your case: just go to the gym.

And then you post people who train aside from dancing, I got trolled. You won

Yes but you need determination (progress is much slower than lifting) good cardio and pain tolerance (you'll be doing a lot of reps and they will burn your muscles a lot) strong discipline (you'll get bored of doing high reps and it will feel like a chore) creativity (how can i make this exercise harder ? You cant just keep increasing reps forever) Long story short its less fun, its more demanding, its more complex than just going to the gym. And i say this as someone who mostly trains calisthenic style. Good luck kid. I also recommend supplementing your calisthenic training with a pair of adjustable dumbells, 20kg is enough for starters and should not cost a fortune. Also get a sturdy backpack so you can take the weight discs off your adjustable dumbells and put them in your bag, then you can do weighted push ups, chin ups, dips, and even stuff like tricep extensions.

What do you think dancing is / looks like dude. You can look up his workout routine, it's public. The most he does is water exercises.

here's a crazy secret nobody knows about: you can add weight to bodyweight movements. get a backpack and put some weight in it. congrats, now you can LARP as an anime character spamming pushups during a training arc and actually build muscle at the same time

100% bullshit & a strong indicator of a clinically retarded I.Q. if you're serious. Either that or you have body dysmorphia and are confusing roided for jacked, not the same. Calisthenics is without a doubt the most accesible, safe, and functional form of strength training.

I'm giving you reality, so you don't waste your time dancing trying to get jacked. Or doing calisthenics when you want to build the most muscle
You are free to dream on doing a few sets of push-ups if you'd like, but in a few years with you still being a skinny fag , it will feel bad
