Greetings fellers,
I've started lifting seriously for the first time since a few days ago. I've been going every day, but ever since the muscle ache started I noticed that my joints started hurting as well. More than the muscles, especially focused on the tendons. What does this mean? Do I need to rest more or just keep going? For example, I had triceps yesterday, but during chest today I felt more pain in tendons than muscles in arms.

Tendon issues usually appear after damage has accumulated, usually not from pretty much the start. Make sure that you're warming up thoroughly and using good form. Beyond that, you may have to teach yourself a lot about tendon health and longetivity, giving your relatively advanced age.

I don't think I warmed up thoroughly. I thought I'd "feel" that. Thank you, I'll try be more considerate.

Read the Bible. You need Jesus.

muscle soreness is fine. tendon pain is probably because you're using weight that's too heavy for your tendons to handle. if you used to be physically active before then your muscles can outpace your tendons and take you to snap city. just try to ramp up slowly and if you still feel pain worsening then describe it to AI and ask how to treat it.

I was honestly playing around with weights to see what was for my level. I maintained around 10-15 reps over 3 sets on various equipment, but had to shift weights up or down a lot. What you describe makes a lot of sense. Thanks man.
