Here are my S25 ultra battery stats if anyone's interested in that phone. That's real usage so no power saving, 5G, calls, listening to music, maps, bluetooth, social media, series and miscellaneous apps
Battery usage: 93%
Screen on time: 6h32 minutes
Screen off time: 16h42

The baker used a flame war instigating image again as usual to spread misinformation and to try and make Apple look bad. It never works though since the OP is uneducated and never had more than 2 flagships from different companies.
The image on the left pertains to all androids
The image on the right pertains to pixels.
>>
Could you guys explain something please; I was told that specific apps like Instagram use the pain telephoto camera rather than some fancy 200mp one because theres's so many versions of smaller batch chink phones it is unworthy to code the specific models's cams into being supported and only flagships get to use the good cameras, is that true?
If so, what chinkphone with a good camera setup that gets utilised by normie social apps like IG would people recommend for about $650? Mainly for low light conditons like clubs/ forsest camps
And if that's wrong and I can just use whatever camera and upload a story/post after shooting it from default camera app, I'm still after some recommendations
Thx

Should I sell my phone and upgrade?
I have a iphone 14 at 82% battery. I'm debating whether to sell now for ~400 and buy a 17 or a pixel, or keep it 2 more years and buy then. In two years it won't go for much more than 100 and lightning port might be more annoying for buyers, etc...

Has anyone moved from Android to Apple? How was it?
1. Are the cracked APKs equivalents for YouTube, YouTube Music even good?
2. Has it shattered if you drop it waist height on wood? Surprisingly no youtube videos about this.

yes but too long ago to be relevant. I kinda want to go back.
>Are the cracked APKs equivalents for YouTube, YouTube Music even good?
I've only tried using brave and safari with ublock. It's kinda shit if you compare to vanced (back when I tried cracked youtube). Brave is buggy af but you get background playback everywhere with PiP. With safari it's not as buggy but you only get playback when locked (sometimes you have to try a couple times to get a video running)
>2. Has it shattered if you drop it waist height on wood? Surprisingly no youtube videos about this.
Haven't dropped mine so far, I try to be careful to keep high resale value

iPhone 18 Pro Colors were leaked. White, Black and Silver will be available too.
>>

I'll think about it but idk, I like my current phone. I actually really like the blue on the 15 Pro line so a lack of blue this time around is disappointing. I'd get silver or white maybe, those are the only appealing ones, black is too plain.
Only thing that really pisses me off about the 15 Pro Max is the size of RAW image files, 120mb for an image that is worst quality than a $300 DSLR is embarrassing. My Pixel was like that too with DNG but I'm still annoyed by it.

Guys I need genuine help because this is driving me fucking insane.
Phone is pooco X7 pro.
Why the FUCK are my notifications either
a. not being shown on the lock screen or
b. Being cleared from the lock screen after unlocking but not clearing the notifications from the notification shade.
I tried fucking everything I can think of.
All battery restrictions off, happens with pin/fingerprint enabled and disabled, ambient display on/off, show notification and content on, raise to wake on.
I thought maybe I debloated too hard and there was a service I got rid off, I factory reset the entire phone. Didn't work.
I upgraded to hyperjeet os3, same FUCKING problem.
What the fuck am I missing? I have never gotten this mad at a phone before kek

I mean, it's almost $30, if you don't mind paying almost $30 for an app to record higher quality video, then go for it.
Id say MOST casual users wouldn't be okay with spending that much on an app, but only you know your financial situation.

not sure on the first one, but my iPhone air is the most durable phone I've had since the old Nokia brick era
I switched (phone and main work computer) a couple of years ago after spending like 15 years thinking apple products were mostly garbage. I still think they were, but these days they really are the best option for most things.

>Has anyone moved from Android to Apple? How was it?
Exactly a week ago.
>1. Are the cracked APKs equivalents for YouTube, YouTube Music even good?
I use the mobile web site from Brave browser. It's 90% of the functionality that ReVanced has.
There are also sideloadable proper apps for Reddit (Apollo Patched) and 4chan/imageboards (Chance). Chance currently has posting bugged due to the new captchas but the dev is working on fixing it this weekend.
>2. Has it shattered if you drop it waist height on wood? Surprisingly no youtube videos about this.
Haven't dropped it yet, but I do use a case (Spigen Liquid Air) and protector (tempered glass).
Honestly the only real, genuine, issue with iOS is the keyboard and typing. It's 15 years behind Android. Everything else is basically the same or slightly better.

I have given up, if I read one more pajeet xda/plebbit post I will fucking off myself.
Apparently chinks are genuine subhumans and don't like notifications on their lock screen.
I guess that's its just too fucking convenient for them, to see things at a glance.
Bros, do NOT buy any mediakek pooco/chinkoid phone unless you like using unbearable UIs.
Thankfully I used my monthly bootloader unlock on my F7, which was already a much better phone, but now there's simply no comparison.
I liked the x7pro for being surprisingly compact, the plastic back and the green is nice. Even the soc is good enough to run master duel at a locked 60 and full resolution without getting hot or sucking the battery down, and vortek on winlator works well for the few VNs I tried.
I guess it'll be a backup until theres a good enough unofficial lineage for it.
I also have no idea why these brown cretins use telegram for fucking everything and not XDA.
Normal people do not fucking use telegram or WhatsApp aka pajeetware.

Continuing from the previous thread because I'm way past retarded:
Is MiTools the best way to unlock bootloader on a Poco? Can I only start doing it ONCE i get a Poco? From what I could understand, there's a 3 days waiting period before I'm able to unlock it or something like that, does it mean my phone will be unusable in the meantime? Are other pajeet methods faster?

Did you think we were lying when we said OP was dead/dying?
They're being swallowed by their parent company, Oppo. All of their hardware is rebadged Oppo stuff, nothing they do is innovative, none of their products are unique in any way and their entire ecosystem is being eaten by the Oppo ecosystem.

thats what I dont understand. OnePlus uses snapdragon and OPPO uses MEDIATEK. everybody knows snapdragon is much more better and popular. What really did I think was the benchmarks not being that great and the oneplus 15 phone overheating and the fact that the find X9 pro benchmarked higher too is what was the final nail in the coffin for these guys.

I switched a week ago too.
A gripe I have is that you can't change app settings inside the app, you have to find the app inside of the phone settings. It's pretty dumb.
Also, there's no universal back button.
17 Pro Max camera is also weird, it's the middle of January and it's gloomy here in the UK, but the photos make it look like a hot summers day, it just doesn't look natural at all. iPhone cameras seem severely overrated.

250 to 350 euro phones like these are the sweet spot for 90% of people, yet most of those people overspend and get an iPhone or more expensive Samsung.
>inb4 "lol poorfag opinion, real people can just afford a new iPhone every week if they so desired"
But really though, the A56 tier is roughly where the diminishing returns of investing more into your phone starts. The S25U that's 3-4 times more expensive is not 3-4 times better, it's like 30-40% better.
>>
>>107958424
i bought a56 to replace huawei p20 pro (8 yo flagship) thinking it is more than good enough for a light user like me, but i wont be keeping it desu. i thought after almost a decade all the good stuff would trickle down, but they havent, at least not on a56
biggest difference is build quality, a56 feels like a plastic brick, p20 feels like a premium device. mostly thanks to rounded sides which make it so nice to hold in the hand
second biggest difference is display, it's considerably sharper and more vivid on p20, though it is not quite as bright
third thing that really surprised me, camera is much more capable on old huawei
and last but not least, it feels.... sluggish. now i dont know if this is samsung/oneUI thing or the hardware is not up to the task, but either way, if it feels like this out of the box i can only imagine in couple of years when i have bunch of apps and files on it
in the end i gave a56 to my mom and im now waiting for s26 ultra and if it isnt a considerable upgrade over s25u, i will buy either oppo find x9 pro or op15

>Sadly none of those have good reviews
if samsung surprises us and S26U has 6000+ mah battery, even if everything else stays the same as S25U, i will buy it
if not, i will go with OP15 or Find x9 pro. when it comes to camera i only really care about daylight and night picture quality on main cam on 1x zoom and auto settings. from what i've seen they are both good enough for me. also, this might sound stupid, but i really dislike round camera modules. i cant stand them. in my opinion
>vertical cameras flush with back side > vertical cams like on s25 > square camera island like iphone 16 pro >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> round camera island
just for that i wouldnt even consider them
i used iphones in the past and what impressed me most about them is how stabilized the video is. from my experience no android device comes close to it. even on top end flagships, unless it is on tripod there is chopping and shaking. i dont know how apple does it, but kudos to them.
that being said, in my use case, living with iOS is bigger compromise than shaky videos
>>
>>
>>107958424
I picked up a A56 for $400 as a quick pick-up after my old OP7T finally died.
It's a decent phone for the price. It ran really well, I didn't mind OneUI at all, the speakers were great and the shape and feel was great for me. But the camera is fucking abysmal. It's the worst camera I've ever experienced on a phone. Every photo had horrible quality and was over-processed. I ended up giving up and buying myself a OP13 instead.
>>107956717
Oppo is their main product. OP15 is their gaming-focused product. Unless you're some Genshin normie there's no reason to go for any new OP product over Oppo.

doesn't the current increase to make up for the lack of voltage needed to supply the full 5W to the chip?
with a properly calibrated battery fuel gauge IC and appropriate software to interpret it's readings, there "shouldn't" be a difference in performance between full battery and low battery

Even that's a trade off
You get worse 10x telephoto, but better 5-9x zoom quality.
On the S23U it has 1x/3x/10x. So anything between 3x and 10x (4 through 9) is digitally zoomed on the 3x lens. That 3x lens is 10MP.
On the S24U it has 1x/3x/5x, so at 4x it's the same digital zoom on the 3x lens. But at 5x it's native 5x, and then for 6-10x it's digitally zooming on the 5x lens, which is 50MP.
The 10x on the S23U is only 10MP (1.12um pixels) the 5x on the S24U is 50MP (0.7um pixels). This means the S24U is actually a 12.5MP image at 10x, even if it's not native like the S23U.
Tldr, it's actually a better camera in list scenario.
About the only time the S23U wins is very bright conditions at 10x or greater, which is not all that often. Most people taking smartphone pictures are using between 1x and 5x.

Here's the thing, doing ANYTHING on a goyslab is inherently soulless.
Reading, games, taking pictures, buyijg/selling stocks, watching a movie or whatever etc. It all feels wrong to do on a glass slab with the two shittiest operating systems that India and China have ever shat out.
However the sheer convenience overrides that
Even a low mid ranger can play most PS2 games now. My desktop computer from not that long ago couldn't do that.
Pick a series of games that you're interested in and play through all of them.
On my retroon pocket I played through silent hill 1-4, had a great time.
Winlator/gamehub is also getting really good (if you're not a mediakek)

Honestly the problem might be me, not the device. I barely enjoy vidya at all anymore and unironically look for books instead. What phones can do nowadays is quite a miracle, and I'm sure I'll replay stuff from my childhood sooner or later even if just for the nostalgia. But holy shit is it difficult for games to hold my attention.

Can anyone recommend a budget tablet that isn't complete garbage? I mainly want to read books and manga, browse the web in Firefox a bit. The Pixel Tablet looks good, but it's expensive and probably more power than I need. Is there anything like 1/2 or 1/4 the price that's still decent?

I just went from S23 base to iPhone 16 Pro Max last weekend and it's a way easier switch than you'd think. If you don't use any app modded by the ReVanced suite then it's a 1:1 transition. If you do, there's generally workarounds.

This isn't just about custom phone ROMs. I feel like a lot of projects just host their releases on Telegram or Discord for no reason.
I do have both a Telegram and a Discord account, it's just these are messaging apps! You know, for texting people? I don't want to clutter my Discord sidebar with random servers I'll only visit once (or once in a while) to download the latest version of some software.

the post wasn't about that at all. they talking about s26 series that gonna be announced in a month. also no serious women that worth your time really cares about what phone you use. I'm not even being like racist, but genuinely some low tier race like indian male have that kind of mentality, owning an iphone/samsung/pixel is a status symbol for some people thinking they can finally get some pussy.
I'm using oneplus 13.

I have the A26 and I like it.
>overheat
The only time I've noticed my A26 get warm was when I fast charged it. So I turned off fast charging to try and keep the battery in better health. I don't think it makes a huge difference though so I can always turn fast charging back on if I need it.

>use a toothpick to clean lint out of it

>usb socket is now perfect
If they're never going to fit covers/protectors for USB sockets they could at least make these things cleanable

>Try not to buy the 12GB version. For Android phones with sufficient RAM, 16GB of RAM is the top choice if you want to use it for more than two years.
>Choose the phone with more RAM at the same price point, or the phone with the same RAM but a lower price. Buy new, not old; if you're buying old, buy used.
I'm gonna buy oneplus 15.

My Pixel 5a just bricked. No response, no screen, no haptics, no connection to ADB. Same thing happened to my mama's 5a a few months ago. What the fuck. Couldn't ask for a worse time. Apparently it's a widespread issue.
I can get a new phone and switch out the SIM, fine. What I'd like is access to the storage. Since I can't plug it in and use ADB, what's the procedure to rip out whatever storage it has and get that connected to my PC? I hope it's just an M.2 SSD or something.

Looking to replace my wife's Oneplus Nord N200 5G that has the screen coming off (I can fix it but its really not worth it at this point). She still needs the SD card and headphone jack which basically limits my options to these: https://kmv.to/f/YfXcXP
I'm thinking the 2026 moto g power but looking for second opinions since I'm not well versed in entry/midrange phones

I don't need to recover anything necessarily, but it would be nice. I'm doing some research now to see if I can open up the 5a, remove the UFS storage and find a USB housing for it. I'm not optimistic from an initial search.
I'm also particularly steamed that Pixels all seem to have one issue or another. This is my third one, second of which has failed, first of which has failed catastrophically. I fucking hate phones.

Reminder the OP is a liar and claims posting facts about smartphones in the smartphone general is "spam". Just look at the buck broken OPs posts. Majority of anons here only have 1 flagship or mid ranger too. I'm the only one who buys multiple new flagships just for fun.

>DIY here
It's the way harbor frieght is running its power tools and now you will see the big names like TTI/Chevron/SBD do the same to the rest of the tool lines. All that's going to be left is Dewalt, Makita, Milwaukie, Hercules and Skil. All of the brands are consolidating since most of the tech/factories are catching up to the improvements that lithium had. Likewise i expect the same with hand tools.

check this out so i dont have to type it myself.
imho it is not worth it to go wit cn version over gobal for any phone, despite the savings. there are tons of weird little problems and you might not care about 99% of them and then you will discover something that will bother you and you cant do anything about it.
some weird shit i encountered with phones that were for china/asia/middle east
>whatsapp and social media notifications dont arrive until you open the app (agressive background killing of tasks even when you override battery savings in options)
>various google services not working because some dependency is not available for cn version
>bloatware on chinese language that cant be removed
>chink ads in stock apps
>muslim holidays burned into any calendar app i installed
>netflix cant stream in highest resolution
etc
if you are really light user and on budget id say sure, buy a chink phone chink market phone for 200, but if you are paying top dollar might as well spring a little bit more for the piece of mind

i can't recommend you a certain phone but i suggest getting something with these specs:
8-12gb ram
SoC Dimensity 7300-7400, Snapdragon 6/7/7s gen 3 or 4
use gsmarena advanced search and i am sure you will find a phone that fits your needs
