Theme: Outer Space Music
Title: [Accepting suggestions]
Deadline: 28th of January, 20:00 GMT

Listening party: 31st of January, 10:00 GMT

>/g/ makes a 19th album
Theme: Remixes of tracks from previous albums

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included.
You may also add a pseudonym to be included in the track metadata, but it must not be one you already use on music platforms.
Songs that violate YouTube's policies won't be uploaded there, but they will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your song. Light-touch mastering is sometimes applied to improve the consistency between tracks.
Use of AI is banned - This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is prohibited. We rely on trust.

the usual suspects were good at drumming up hype for their DSP56300 emulation but there are many other VSTs that are supposed to be faithful emulations of the hardware. it looks good on paper but in the real world they lack the character, the star quality of the original hardware. this is just one of countless reasons why anons are astronomically unlikely to ever produce a hit record. i'm talking about the sheer sound quality and not contrived excuses about not having marketing resources to shove slop down people's throats. it's usually obvious for an amateur song to not sound as impressive as a hit song but amateurs are generally unaware of it so that is why they release their song sounding like that instead of improving it to sound more like a hit song.

people pay top dollar for analog synths from the 80s that are even "dumber" than digital slop. there is pic relate that's being sold in current year at the same time as a plugin that's supposed to be accurately modeled. you lack the most basic clue about what sounds good. there are numerous plugins that you can download that are supposed to sound good as fuck but you're not making hit records with them. curious

it's a fallacy to assume that newer tech is better like is a made in china violin supposed to sound better than a stradivarius? not necessarily. go play with AI slop then.

Meanwhile you're not making anything and your not even good enough to teach. Yet you keep posting here. Incomprehensible.
>>
>>108003859
i'm not trying to teach, just rubbing it in your faces how utterly skullfucked you are but you're too retarded to understand even that. delusional goofy ass boomers and underage pajeets who are way too late to try to do the DJ thing with using nothing but software. you're trying to scam people with subpar music but you're only fooling yourself, you can't even keep up with AI sloppers. you're the one who should fuck off from here, you're not engaging in good faith in any discussion, just jerking each other off with the /dmp/ albums.
>>
basically your plan is to practice a lot and that will eventually turn you into a musical genius and people will be so impressed with your songwriting and performance even with very lacking production because you're too stupid and lazy to use electronic tools and you're too full of yourself to work with a producer, you want to be the producer since this is the music production general. this plan makes perfect sense and you're not delusional at all.
>>
what's the /dmp/ recommended audio interface for an amateur basement producer?
mostly for hardware synths
I'm looking at Scarlett 2i2 but it seems a bit pricey

there's no real point for me to post here i should just shut up and enjoy the circumstances of how music production is out of reach for >99% of people but still within reach for me. i can let you do all the mistakes and if i don't tell you what you're doing wrong then the chances are higher that you will continue fucking up so there will be less competition for me. it's mainly the boomer who has been such a nuisance that i hold a grudge against him but another lowercase anon has been annoying too like he thinks he can use emulation software to run the firmware and get the same sound quality as using the $1000+ hardware digital synth. especially the boomer has such a complete lack of being able to think for himself like he would probably not be too impressed by this song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlbNJIdJQeo
but a normal person would think it's one of the songs of all time because of how it sounds and the synth is a major part of that sound. it's not surprising that it's a hugely successful song that made however many millions of dollars and they have a large fanbase. the boomer would think that the production isn't too complex as he just sees a couple of singers and a few instrument players so he could make a similar quality song himself with stock plugins in fl studio and recording himself into a focusrite scarlett interface.
>>
Damn, I wish I knew about this thread earlier. I never go on this board. Making a space song sounds cool. I'm looking forward to the final release guys. I don't have any faith in myself to make a remix worth a shit so maybe I'll be around for number 20.

(You) are useless but that doesn't mean it applies to everyone else
>>
perfect example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlbNJIdJQeo
i understand automatically that it's a great song just from hearing it
most anons are indifferent, they don't understand what's so great about it, they will do their own experimentation with stock plugins in fl studio or whatever soft synth like pigments or massive x, it's a complete disconnect from what the world class musicians automatically understand to do

I’ve realized I don’t even like electronic music. I’m much more into metal, Celtic folk, and other instrument-driven stuff. Trance, breakbeat, techno, house... it all feels soulless to me.

The irony is I still make music in a DAW, mostly programming instead of playing, because I’m introverted and it’s the only way I’ve found to create anything at all. Just needed to get that off my chest.

Lovely to meet you (ooh-ooh-ooh)
Sit down and catch your breath
Take off your space suit (ooh-ooh-ooh)
You just escaped a gruesome death
Let me console you
And get to know you
With my ray gun set on stun
Oh, our wedding will be so much fun!

Am I being too subtle?
Should I switch things up?
I'll make you new pajamas
And a sexy matching coffee cup
What happened to your planet was so very very sad
But since you must be single now I'm glad
(I'm down so bad)

CHORUS 1
Human, you will never leave me
You can try but you won't get too far
You should know you'll always need me
Even if you're denser than a neutron star
You and I
Are the last
Of our kind
Let's repopulate fast
Your new home is on the UFO that saved your life
With its captain as your loving wife

Are you awake, dear? (ah-ah-ah)
We're on the lower decks
Your vision's unclear
And there may be other temporary side effects
Like synesthesia
Acute amnesia
And libidinal excess
Hold that thought while I take off my dress

I picked up a transmission
From nineteen thirty six
A sporting competition
And some complicated politics
Then I charted a course here
From a nebula far away
All so I could hold your hand and say
(Daite ne)

CHORUS 2
Human, you will never leave me
You can try but you won't get too far
You should know you'll always need me
Even if you're denser than a neutron star
You and I
Are alone
So let's fly
Off to planets unknown
Your new home is on the UFO that saved your life
With its captain as your loving wife

INSTRUMENTAL

We'll fly into a dust cloud
Where the sky is cold and bright
And every day I'll keep you up all night
(No more sunlight)

CHORUS 1
Human, you will never leave me
You can try but you won't get too far
You should know you'll always need me
Even if you're denser than a neutron star
You and I
Are the last
Of our kind
Let's repopulate fast
Your new home is on the UFO that saved your life
With its captain as your loving wife

Will you also put my extended mix of Stellar Sand up in its own video? I might do an extended mix of Space Party too if I can find the motivation
