The baker used a flame war instigating image again as usual to spread misinformation and to try and make Apple look bad. Old articles about old phones from years ago. Embarrassing and it shows how everything said here >>108010142 is true. It never works though since the OP is making everything up.
The image on the left pertains to all androids.
The image on the right pertains to pixels.

just watched markkkes brownie's video on oneplus and I'm wondering what the current ''enthusiast'' phone/brand would be? does it even exist or has everything been homogenized into being iphone copycats?

Imagine trying to lie in a smartphone general on a technology board.
Unfortunately both Apple and Google are actively collecting data and so are the apps that we use. After the Snowden leaks none of this should be new information.
>>
>>108036183
The main difference is Google gives you free services in exchange for spying on you.
Apple charges you $1000 extra so you can have the privilege of being spied on. It's literally paying for cuckolding.

Wow you must be so impoverished or a little kid if you think a iPhone 17 Pro Max is expensive. Not everyone has to buy a $400 mid range smartphone, some of us can buy new flagships every year. This makes sense >>107998516

are there any actual dumbphones out there? I see stuff like clicks and unihertz and can't help but thing they're missing the point. those old phones were so fast and responsive... putting bloated android OS on a shitty phone with a funky formfactor is missing the point. someone needs to do the hard work of making simple fucking phones. call, text, contacts, snake is literally all you need a phone for.

There are some out there, but these days you realistically might need a messaging app (outside of SMS/RCS), a banking app, a way to scan QR codes (cheap cameras struggle to read them off of bright screens) and a couple other ones depending on what you do (parking and store membership cards come to mind). You unironically need a fully-fledged computer to function in today's society (even if most of its processing power is dedicated to a Mossad botnet).

I don't think so. I paid more than it's worth and had to spend a couple of hours removing all the "AI" crap. I knew what I was getting into and it's worth it for me (all I wanted was a basic 3-day-charge phone), but it won't be popular.

>>
>>108037861
I think the OnePlus 15R is basically a scam. It is just the global version of the cheap OnePlus Ace 6T that Chinese buyers mostly avoid because the camera is terrible unless you only care about gaming. The 165Hz screen is pretty much its only real selling point. For about the same price you can get a Chinese OnePlus 15 (12GB 256GB) that flashed to OxygenOS. 12 512GB is like less than 100USD upgrade.

If Google stopped fucking around with their own chips Pixels would tick all the boxes. They clearly saw apple's success with their own silicon, wanted a piece of the pie but were so risk averse that they half baked it. Now we're stuck with garbage exynos wearing an autism cap that sucks at fucking everything instead of either a fully in-house killer chip or just... A top end Qualcomm.

Do you rent your Iphone, anon?
>As an Indonesian, I can vouch that many Indonesians do this because they need to improve their social status by showing off their achievements when meeting their friends.
>One of those "achievements" is placing an iPhone face down on the table when they're eating at a restaurant.
>Sometimes it doesn't even have to be the latest iPhone. You can just use an iPhone XR, and people would think "wow an iPhone "
>This need to show off creates demand, and that's why you can find so many accounts offering iPhone rental services.
>Depending on the model, prices to rent an iPhone can be as low as $5.
>Not only iPhones, some people are also offering rental services for other Apple products like AirPods, MacBooks, etc.
>So yeah, the key to success in Indonesia is probably using Apple products.

It's my first OnePlus and I've only had it for two days (I specifically waited for the official launch in the EU to get a real warranty). The chipset is good, not as good as the Elite but it doesn't overheat (I tried emulating some games and I'm happy). Battery life is great (that was the whole point for me). Beyond that, I don't know what to say, I don't take pictures at all, I aggresively debloat phones to the point that they all become the same, I only use basic FOSS apps, overall it's extreme overkill for my use case. Your average normie review will probably be worth more than my opinion.
>>108038479
>camera is terrible
If it wasn't for the occasional QR code I'd want a phone with no cameras at all.
>chinese phone flashed to Oxygen
I'd rather have a legally bulletproof warranty straight from the store, not from a manufacturer on the other side of the planet.
Still, you're right, for most people it is borderline a scam (I paid 700 euros for the 512GB version with no extras).

Even the base iPhone 17 SOC beats the weak soc in the Pixel 10 Pro XL. If l were you may e the OnePlus 15 is a better fit, but that's if the camera is not important to you.
>>

>>108040385

If camera is important to you just get an iphone there's no other question about it. Extremely good video + extremely good photos so that justifies the price.
If you want android only and are outside of the US then you can look into the xiaomi leica collab, that phone seems to be doing really good.
If not, then the galaxy ultra is a better buy considering the chip you're getting. Pixels are shit performance for the price, and the camera is made good by software enhancements not necessarily the hardware.

>currybench
The entire point of benchmarks was to compare performance decades ago when there were 41873418 computer architectures and no one knew which was actually faster.
When everything is ARM or x86 your currybench is fucking useless when you can use actual real world apps to compare performance, since that was the whole point.
Of course you don't want to show that because real app performance would reveal your curryPhones as the steaming heaps of shit that they are.

Should I do it?
my old Unihertz Titan is painfully out of date.
It's either this, or the newest $1300 Galaxy phone in hopes it'll last longer.
Thinking about it, I would much prefer a stylus to a headphone jack. (I'd really want to have both, but this is the world we live in) so I'm not entirely sure what the best move would be.
I've got enough money to get the biggest Samsung Ultra, but obviously I'd prefer to not spend a kidney for a phone that I mostly just use to scroll Clover on breaks at work, or when I need to do some mild internet browsing away from my computer.

>>108048271
by last longer, I mean get software and security updates for longer. I take pretty good care of my tech.

>Even Qualcomm displayed the Geekbench 6 results for the latest snapdragon at it's latest event
Geekbench is well known to be a garbage test that runs so extremely fast in all phones that there's barely any real validity to it.
If you showed antutu or 3dmark it would be a reasonable test because those max out both the cpu and gpu of the phones, and if you run them for 15 minutes straight you get the real performance the phones have in a real scenario.
Plus, it's also well known geekbench has always showed apple SoCs performance to be extremely better than the competition while in real life it's barely half of a mediocre cpu from their competitors.
>>
>>108050895
If you can't post the proof behind your misinformed opinions no one here is going to believe you once again Qualcomm displayed the geekbench 6 benchmarks for their latest SOC at the event when they announced it I'm going to trust the actual experts about this and not some random and on lying in the thread.
>>
>>108042874
Not him, but I can't trust unihertz right now, they've been well known for abandoning their phones immediately, and the titan 2 is literally brand new and it came with fucking android 15 when 16 released in june of last year, and just next month they'll be updating the phone.
If I'm spending big time money on a thing, I would expect to at least get big time support, my secondary oneplus nord 4 has had constant updates since I got it last year and it's already on android 16.

I literally have no clue what the hell you're saying, pajeet-sama.
Companies are well known to lie on their presentations by showing only their best results on a certainly constrained scenario they know competitors fail at it.
The apple M1 was supposedly twice as fast as the intel i9 13900k as per geekbench and other synthetic benchmarks, yet you did any real working man's job, and the i9 completed all the tasks 4 times as fast as the M1.
Hell, to this day there's no x86 cpu that has a single core score as big as an m2 chip, yet we all know an ultra 5 200h cpu is twice as fast as an m4, while using the same amount of power.
