One small tip try to minimize erasing in general. Of course removing construction lines and some cleanup at the end is fine but dont rely on it too much. Otherwise you spend too much time on it.

I've always wanted to learn blender, but never had the motivation to push through dozens of tutorials, but making a poseable doll for drawing is enough of an incentive to get started with the basics at least.

How much harder is learning blender than chara studio? Is there any overlap in how their animating works, because I've learned to use chara studio over the span of the last year and I can make scenes about the same as the average chara studio creators now. My dick has made me learn skills that I wouldn't do even if I was paid. As the initial learning curve was crazy in the hindsight, since I completely self taugh it to myself just by reverse engineering scenes, But if i switched to blender at some point, would I have to learn everything from a scratch again? I remeber there was some people talking about koikatsu scenes some time ago here, so maybe someone has some insight?

Chara studio is held together by duct tape as it wasn't even designed to make scenes, animations or most of the stuff plugins and mods try to make it do in the first place. It's like the japanese "doom engine", as it does have some real ingeniunity to it, like the chara/scene-png system that makes it worth using despite its issues

There are literal vultures, hoarders and grifters out there that try to get all the scene datas there are, no matter your skill level and even more so if you are actually good at making them. The devil is in the details. It's way too easy to use other people's scenes, which just attracts people trying to benefit from other people's hard work.
I think the community around the scene datas is really scummy. I see people constantly use other people's scenes as if they were their own and even paywalling those scenes whereas the original creator might have even distributed them for free. I do post some videos of my scenes, that I think would appeal to people besides just myself and I have about 300 followers, but my stuff has already been posted all over the boorus and whatnot. Like not just some of them, but every single one of my videos which is just absurd, as they are kinda hidden-ish in my free fanbox. I can only imagine the can of worms sharing my scene datas would bring as I know for a fact someone is just going to paywall them themself, so maybe I should pre emptively paywall them myself. The community is just such a rabbit hole to get into. Sorry for the rant I'll give it some thought
