The snow has finally melted enough that the paths are walkable again. I am going to make sure to hit 10k steps at least daily for the rest of the summer.

I had a weird infection on the tip of my finger a few months ago. I thought it was some kind of obscure form of acne but it was painful and it was basically a big sac of pus right above my nailbed. Eventually it kinda just went away and the skin died and it looked kinda fucked up when it healed, like the nailbed had receded back quite a few milimetres and it was strange looking. fast forward about a month or so and I just happened to find out whilst going about the course of my internet wanderings that's called bacterial whitlow. Apparenlty shit can be serious but eventually in my case it just shrivelled up and died but apparently it's advised to go to the doctor to get it lanced. I have a good idea of what caused it too: a pair of rusty nailclippers.
