Right now I have an RL25 I'm using as a handheld and an AGM TC35-384 I'm using as a dedicated clip on. This is for general LARP autism and wasting invasive hogs. I want to sell and upgrade at least one of them before it's completely worthless on the second hand market. Sould I prioritize the handheld and get an RH25 or the clip on and get something like a Rattler V2 50-640? This is for usage in front of an elcan and a credo 2.5-10x36.

50mm objective will indeed give you more clarity and contrast but I think youre going to be running out of mag on the rattler v2 pretty early since its just a 1024x768 display with weak demag
also
>Rechargable packs
Thou shall not purchase this shit
I was very impressed with the new guide thermal clipons I used at shot. They went with a 1920x1080 display and very aggressive demag and I was easily able to push them up to 10x or so without hitting the screen door effect. I used all of them but the TB630 specifically appealed due to the ambi focus knob which I thought was thoughtful.
They are super squat for their objective size but that was accomplished by battery uptop so id be questioning if your stacked dot likely fucked by it.

With thermals, it comes down to the actual image processing mattering more than the extra 10hz, so I doubt anyone would seriously notice. Also power consumption is much higher on the RH25v2, you get nearly double the life out of the CV25

Daytime usage of thermals still kinda eh imho and the LRF being coupled to it (or having two LRF) is kinda a bad time.
Imho the LRF inclusion sort of lazy boomer shit for hog hunters wanting to shoot at 51yd. You can argue that it shortens the time to fire loop and thus makes you even faster. Id rather have an external wired LRF that displays in the thermal itself. External LRF always does emit light at night so its another thing you have to control.
>>64820680
You can go out of band to dodge nods and raise the cost of the detectors. Your distance shooting tool box needs to include more than an LRF

The mini buffer KAK kit, they only have the lightest buffer in stock.
Would it be good enough for a 11.5 carbine gas?
What about supressed carbine gas 5.56 and 300 blk pistol gas?
I might just wait for a heavier buffer unless theres other shorty buffer kits?
Something that'll take a magpul SL-M?

I took apart a KAK micro buffer onetime, its a standard buffer weight and a spacer in there. If you buy the light weight one you can swap in a tungsten weight from a H1, H2 or H3
>Will lightest be enough

>>
>>64820987
Don't listen to 20" troll, it will probably work fine, but a heavier buffer will make it shoot smoother, esp w a suppressor. You can start with standard buffer and tune up, no biggie. In the extremely unlikely event that you shear a buffer retaining pin, they cost like $3 shipped tor replace.

I'd like to throw an FRT in there as well but I think I'm just making a hand grenade at that point.
I'd like a universal shorty frt lower to alternate between a .300 upper around 7" and an 11.5 to a 10 5.56 AR.
I have a Law folder FRT lower already but I'd like to make a tiny .300

Fuck no, but you could ditch spacer+trim buffer and put in tungsten fill and maybe get another 1/2 to 1/3 oz in there.
Probably too light for FRT usage as well
If you talk to heavybuffers.com maybe they could do you a custom oneoff since they already make UCIW buffers

Nta I already tried that and you cannot pack the tungsten powder enough to make it denser and therefore heavier. Their heavier buffer, the purple one, is fine. You don't want the exact weight you would have with a standard recoil buffer before the spring itself has a different compression curve
>>
>>
File: Ew there's shit on my shoe .jpg (2.9 MB)

>>64821054
Wouldn't you want a lighter buffer for a frt since it's dependent on bolt velocity and overcoming that added friction? Either way the milspec buffer weight for both the kak mini milspec and lwrc uciw is more than enough with the included spring to cyclic overgassed, properly gassed, and undergassed uppers.
>>

I remember sharing with arg my adventure to avoid having to buy a buffer from heavybuffersDOTcum with the uciw as a preventative measure with the overgassed PSA upper + strela. I tried different kinds of tungsten powder and packing it, and I tried combination of weights. I wouldn't forego the plastic spacers between the buffers to add more weight. The dead blow effect of the movement of the buffer weights is LITERALLY how the buffer functions correctly. You do not want a non-deadblow effect because it will make the recoil suck so much more as well as eventually lead to some annoying shit. The added weight doesn't really make as much of a difference with the dimensions you end up having.

You were too busy smoking girlcock to realize a buffer that comes in a "mini mil-spec buffer kit" and whose buffer shakes like a milspec buffer would likely have weights inside? I took mine apart too but you just have to weigh it and use logic to realize the buffer in there.
>>

>>64821143
Yes its retarded
The H&R M16A1s have incorrect coatings all over them
Tons of the parts that could vary somewhat in color and are meant to be grey - dark grey are insted just pure black with modern coatings
For example the FSP the barrel and flash hider the trigger and safety selector the retaining pins and basically all of the small parts
Its funny because H&R / PSA actually produces color correct parts for most of those parts but they dont actually use them in the prebuilds
Even if they would raise the price maybe they should have a "premium" line that are more clone correct

>LPVO
LPVOs are dead. The age of the MPVO is upon us.
>than whatever is included in the thermal
I think we're seeing a lot of LR in thermals because of a couple reason
1) Big aspect of the thermal market is hunters, and hunters be wanting stuff like an integrated LRF in their thermal so they can hold appropriately within that like 150-400m range that they're hunting, so the actual requirements on the LRF and solver are significantly less than mil.
2) Chinks always tend to smash shit together to try to increase perceived value. Sometimes it works (see original holosun shake awake and solar backup integration), and sometimes it is dumb gay and pointless (see current video recording and LRF integration in thermals).
>>64820886

>>64820987
>Lightest buffer in stock
I think the carbine weight mini buffer they use has a single steel weight. Throw a single tungsten in there from any H1, H2, or H3 buffer you have laying about and you'll have the heavier buffer option. Gas control is also good to have, so consider a Superlative Arms adjustable gas block (meh), Bootleg adjustable carrier (meh also), or maybe a WAR upper receiver (also meh).
>>64821044

It was about determining a) if it was a steel or tungsten buffer and by extension what the body weight was and b) if there was enough body material to mill out otherwise remove to be able to add more mass but keep the overall length of the assembly the same.

You could easily tell whether the weight was steel or tungsten by weighing the buffer without disassembly like I said. You should know this.
Also yes a deadblow-like effect is why there is clearance in buffers for the buffer weights to move around. Why do you think buffers aren't solid material, if all that was a concern was weight then a solid material would offer the best density instead of making a pocket and filling it with weights. Have you tried shooting an otherwise standard 5.56 DI ar-15 with a solid material buffer? It's not fun
A2 fucks trannies so what of it

On a 2-12 and was honestly impressed how high mag I could get them compared to legacy 1024x768 thermals. No time on the 4-16 atacr + guide combo but the 2-12x42s they had on them at the booth easily had me up there near 12x.
Similarly I was decently impressed with the athlon cronus 640 units. Not as good as the guide but perhaps a better pricepoint.
The armasight operator pro also an extremely high quality feeling unit, probably the most "military feeling" commercial unit ive handled. The ADM mount is included and the battery change is very nice.
The AGM is nogood for your usecase.

Its sold out on KAK website
I could punch out the buffer that I'm replacing but I think it ships with a carbine buffer that probably has steel weights.
Shipping alone for the tungsten weight from a different company and then shipping from KAK would be like $30.
I haven't even got the rifle I want to put it on in the mail yet so I figure I'll wait it out

13 or 13.7" is the maximum acceptable length of a handguard, irrespective of your ratios. Full length handguards are pleb-tier unless your barrel is 12.5 or under

>weighing the buffer without disassembly
Ooh I love teaching fat brown retards algebra
Lets see if you can make sense of what question we're trying to answer with this very simple system of equations. Maybe you can make $17/hr if you pass this technical interview!
3.3-1.4=X'
2.5-0.64z=X
3.3-(1.4+0.64)=Y'
2.5-(2*0.64)=Y
I'll give you a hint. All units are in ounces, and this is assuming the bumper is the same weight and volume in both cases (might not be the case, one of several reasons to disassemble to inspect.)
>Ignoring the part investigating if there was enough material to mill/remove to gain additional volume
>Trying to teach me that the clearance/space is to accomplish a dead blow effect

But every 500-1000 or so rounds I always do a detailed strip and clean of the internal components because I just feel like a bad owner if I don't
>>
>>
>>64822659
They do that for testing because its good to know how it performs under poor conditions. 500-1000 rounds is a normal and good time to clean your guns.

How? What’s wrong with it? Have you finished your PHD? What made you study lasers? Is it the fact that government UAPs utilize lasers? You know, the ones that seem to defy gravity? Thoughts on magnetic vector potential? Thoughts on counter-space? Thoughts on scalar waves? Nice to see you bro.

Look I'm kind of a retard but I imagine it's just because they can put the grip on easier at the front because they can get to the t-nuts on the inside of the rail, and whatever customer experience rep/study group/think tank they did in 2016 dictates they ship and """assembled""" rifles instead of just bagging their Great Value magpul furniture and placing it in the case.
>>64819366
You can tweak the zero to get "battle zero" accuracy with a BDC and magnification. 1.5" high at 100y is a good starting point for an 11.5" with M193.

CAR stock is one of those ones that looks cool as hell but kinda disappoints in real life. the pad certainly helps though. I do gravitate towards it on my issued M4 though to keep things compact.
RAHG would be cool but both the quad and the SMR are extremely cool looking. Hard to go wrong with any of the 416 options.

Your original post, sir:
>You were too busy smoking girlcock to realize a buffer that comes in a "mini mil-spec buffer kit" and whose buffer shakes like a milspec buffer would likely have weights inside? I took mine apart too but you just have to weigh it and use logic to realize the buffer in there.
Stop projecting.

>study lasers

>UAPs

>magnetic vector potential
Gauge invariance leads me to consneed that the electrodynamic scalar and vector potentials are not strictly (metaphysically speaking) "real", but as models are still incomplete model approximations of reality.
>couter-space
Neat neat I'll have to look into this more. Are you math PhD anon?
Nice to see you as well. My newest thing borne out of some pretty pedestrian electrical engineering work with analog circuit filter design is probably some baby-take string theory where all of reality/existence only takes the form of modal solutions to arbitrary dimensionality constraining equations describing energy/mass/time dynamics with algebraic/differential relations, the structure of these relations and thus modal solutions being "sourced" in the nature of the reality itself. This came from deriving a bunch of transfer functions for circuits (in particular showing that unique factorisation of certain circuits are not identical to others with physically distinct topologies) and seeing direct parallels to everything from classical mechanics solutions to quantum mechanics to electrodynamics etc. Anyway. Hope you're well /k/ommnando.

for me it's mostly the toeline angle for the car stock that makes me dislike it. it digs into my chest doesn't really sit right in the pocket which itself is kinda angled. I'm sure there are certain body types that it fits well in a comfortable standing and seated position tho even without the pad.
pad makes all of this a "moot" point
