>where did you find the norinco barrel?
It took a few Gunpost deals just because separate short barrels are hard to find and expensive. As I recall I ended up buying a 12.5" Norinco shotgun, an 18" barrel, swapping that, putting the 12.5" on my Wingmaster, then selling the Norinco. They sold Norinco 870s by a few different names, I forget them all now. The most common are HP9s and Dominion Arms Grizzlies. Dlask also made them but those are way more money. Some notes:
-only the original 4 round tube barrels will work, lots of newer 870s/Chinese clones have 5/6 round tubes, no good.
-mag cap design changed over the years, so if you swap barrels the retention mechanism might not work. I just loctited mine.
-I believe Norinco barrels all have 3" chambers, but many Wingmasters are 2 3/4 only. If yours is then remember that and if you ever sell it tell the buyer.
-if you watch Gunpost long enough a boomer will post a Grizzly for cheap not knowing they've tripled in price. Often they'll fuck up the name or call it a "Chinese 870" or something.
-there are a few older folding stock designs out there for these things, the gun is extra cool and stupidly compact with one installed. Not that I would know as that's illegal :)
-I just checked out of curiosity and the Churchill shotguns have barrels that look very similar to the 870. I can't find anyone online who's confirmed they aren't compatible. It'd be interesting to test as those would be a dirt cheap source of 12" barrels.

Anybody have any experience with Switzer's auction? Impulse bid on a Sig Sauer Romeo 5 but upon closer inspection of the pics I'm having doubts that its not a clone. They listed it as Sig Sauer so idk if their appraisers are retarded or not.
>>
>>
>>
>>65061150
>more than a little late to the party.
I checked and prices don't seem much higher than when I built mine. If you're patient I bet you could get a Grizzly for $500, an 18" barrel for $200, and sell the gun for $400, meaning you paid $300 for the short barrel. Not crazy. Nice old 870s are still in the $400 range, less if you're lucky.

Checked and kek'ed. A good place to start is running a regional organized crime syndicate. The national organized crime syndicate loves to bring in new blood to keep their own operation going. If you do it right you can become Premier.
>>65060875
>You ever get robbed?
No. Almost all of them are way more scared of the person picking them up, particularly that the person is an organized type serial killer, than one is of them. I usually just ask where they are going, introduce myself, and then give them a quick spiel about how I am willing to help them out but I have two basic rules: don't wreck my vehicle by trying to do drugs etc once we are driving, and I don't care if they have a knife or something to keep themselves safe but no guns are allowed. The sane ones will almost always admit they have a pocket knife, which I honestly don't care about, and the crazy ones will always deny having any weapons because they are operating under 'persecution fantasy mode' and expect to be searched by the police at any moment. Its a very small test but its pretty reliable for getting a quick read on them. Story wise: two young guys went to a concert on one way bus tickets, snuck in, had a blast, and were walking several hundred km home. They were hilarious and fun to talk to. Just normal guys. Another time I offered a ride, the guy declines because he thinks I am going to steal his drugs (he was a dangerous one). Another time I see a guy sitting in a ditch looking exhausted, in the distance there are cop cars coming, I give him a heads up that he has 30 seconds to get moving or they are going to arrest him (situationally it was clear), he hops in, drive him ~500 km which was on my way anyway and shoot the shit about his life/the world. I even had a small errand to run mid-way and he acted as my labourer. You know in short, almost everyone I have ever picked up has had their life ruined by childhood abuse or drugs. Frequently both.

Their most popular leader in a long time somehow losing even the most right wing MPs to the Liberals is mind blowing. This has to be some sort of record. There is some fuckery afoot. As well the “majority” of Canadian’s values also just happen to align with MSM talking points perfectly. They know something we don’t - why else would they be doubling down on the gun grab.
>>
>>
>>65061124
Yeah I've bought stuff from them before. Their appraisers definitely don't check the guns very carefully, I think despite being mainly online they more or less expect you to be there in-person to inspect the guns before bidding. Expect to get raped by auction fees.
>>
>>65061809

Yugo does not have chrome lined barrel. And the night sights that cime with it usually have lost their nightlight capability. Functionaly I'd rather have a Chink or Ivan SKS. But the grenade launcher sure do be cool.
>>
>>65061814
I wasn't aware that they don't allow people in-person anymore (they're located out in the middle of nowhere anyway).
I'm basing my statements on my own experience where I bought a shotgun that hadn't been cleaned, with non-original furniture, and a cracked extractor, and none of those things were mentioned in the description. Only the furniture was obvious from the pictures provided. They clearly don't spend much time writing the descriptions or inspecting what they're auctioning.

>>65061124
I'm done with Switzers. Been burned by them every time. They take photos that specifically hide crown damage, I should've got more photos and fixing the crown isn't the end of the world but annoying. The second time I took a chance on a rifle it looked to be in excellent condition with lots of photos and good crown. Ended up winning and it turns out the receiver was cracked under the stock and JB welded together by some fucknut. More than $2000 gone.

Not that difficult. I’m a fat fuck, who has been posting about losing weight on cangen for years. Started at 370, pure lard. Currently ~255, LOTS of lifting, and even my fat ass can run a 10 minute mile. Anyone ITT should be able to run a 10 minute mile.
Seriously, anons. Time yourselves running: it may be the wake up call you need.

>Perhaps lay off the booze
I haven't touched alcohol in over a decade, I deadlift 550, benched 315 and squatted 400. The squat should be higher but I don't really like squats. Even being stronger than I was in my early 20s I still wouldn't say I'm in my prime, my recovery time is noticeably longer than it was back then. I barely lifted after getting out of college for quite a while and was able to coast on my gains from wrestling and years of lacrosse. I could not do that now, I took a few months rest at the end of last year and it took me like 3 months to get back to where I was. There's a reason you don't see extremely high level athletes competing beyond their 40s at most and the guys that make it that long are anomalies.

Are you in your 60's?
>No? Oh well then. The whole point is that someone in their 60's can still have prime physical fitness. Which doesn't mean olympic records, it means having functional strength and flexibility which allows them to enjoy life without using wheelchair ramps. Everything you enjoy doing, hunting, fishing, hiking, fucking (your hand), going out for meals, and travelling in vacation, relies on a certain level of fitness to be enjoyable. I am not the original anon who posted about his father, but having met people who are still very high functioning into their 70's and 80's, let me assure you their lives are infinitely better than the oxygen tank/wheelchair crowd. should've gotten the 308 patrol, the 556 one has a funky design.
for a mini scout the best option is probably the ruger american gen 2 scout, you can use ar mags and swap between them almost as fast as an actual ar, which wasn't possible with your mvp.
other than the ruger, you could get the MRA renegade if you really want straight pull and proper ar15 controls. an ar-style pump-action rifle (troy par or taipan x) would net you a higher firerate than a bolt action and still achieve good accuracy, at least with the troy.
only the ruger would come with built-in irons, but the ar-style manual rifles will let you put magpul MBUS sights on, which are better imo

If you had to put down your cat, what kind of .22LR cartridge would you use? From what I can get locally it seems the CCI Velocitor would be the best choice, 40 grains and 1435 FPS. Or are there better choices?
Also, do I have to worry about being charged with animal cruelty or some stupid shit if I get him professionally cremated and they see the cat was euthanized with a firearm?

>If you had to put down your cat, what kind of .22LR cartridge would you use?
Personally, i would use a 22mag or a pistol calibre for a cat. Though i am sure 22lr is perfectly sufficient.
The goal is to absolutely minimize suffering or the risk of a botch job, so my recco is varmint ammo, the stuff that disintegrates into shrapnel immediately on entry, causing the most possible internal damage; id recco testing a bunch of the ammo on full water bottles first to see if they can reliably achieve this desired effect, as 22lr isnt exactly known for its consistency.
Velocitor is (relativly powerful) hunting ammo, it just mushrooms, im sure it would be just fine if your shot placement is on point.
Look up cross-sections of cats heads to see exactly the point you want to hit.
>do I have to worry about being charged with animal cruelty or some stupid shit
It is perfectly legal to execute your own animals.

This is true, we planned on going with the same memorial service we had our other cats cremated at, but they're in the city so I'm not sure if they would take umbrage with the method of euthanasia. Will look into other cremation services around the city.

All solid advice, thanks anon. I defaulted to .22lr because the next smallest caliber I have is .45ACP, which seems excessive.

I suspect most vets would refuse to euthanize, as he isn't ill, he has behavioral issues. He keeps attacking our newborn unprovoked, and urinating on his belongings. We've tried rehoming him, no one wants a 10 year old cat with behavioral issues. No shelters in the area are willing to take him, and even if they did he would likely just slowly rot in a cage until he got put down by strangers. We figure it's better to humanely put him down ourselves before he really hurts our baby and my wife ends up killing him in a fit of rage. I know it's going to be terrible, I don't want to put him down. But we've given him more than enough time to adjust, and plenty of second chances.

Even his facial expression is manufactured to project some sort of toughness when in reality he’s just another loser baby boomer, at his core.
It’s really sad.
I know that physical violence isn’t the be all and end all of human existence, but I’ve boxed for more than a decade. I know some exceptionally tough guys. At my gym there are some really strong men who have been fighting, physically, their entire lives.
In pictures, they’re all smiles. These guys could kill you with a punch, but all the pictures of them are with their buddies, or fishing, or with their kids, etc.
it’s like Carney didn’t get the memo that real strength doesn’t mean you’ve gotta exit with a scowl on your face.
I’m not gonna blackpill, because even the fucktards in charge are clearly less happy than me.
>>
>>65066388
The whole "elbows up" shtick is part of that bizarre tough guy facade, appropriating an obscure hockey fighting term for a move that nobody knew how to do properly. It's the Canadian Liberal boomer equivalent of AI-generated images of a muscular Donald Trump.

Kind of what i am trying to avoid.
My goal with the camper, as a last resort, is to store as much value as i can in it, when escaping disaster, buit, without too seriously compromising the livability of the space, because i would need to live in it, for potentially years after that.
I should add aswell, that a breddy big concern is ammunition weight, so minimizing calibre variety is ideal.
I believe once i have my water tanks full, i only really have maybe 500lbs at most left to work with, without exceeding the carrying capacity for my truck.

Look I’m not gonna say it won’t happen, but it’s also true that carney really doesn’t seem that invested in the buyback since it’s poison, nobody wants it not even the police. But that was also before he bribed the other parties for a majority so who fucking knows anymore

it's insanely gay that companies can make guns like this which actually fire a projectile, but if I want a historically accurate reproduction firearm that is completely inert with no functional internals (i.e. from a company like Denix) it's actually prohibited and I'd go to fucking jail

There is some decent copium from the SCC case, for one they only ever approve around 5-10% of all appeals if they believe there's a legitimate public interest case to be made, and two the liberals clearly don't want this program but kinda just have to go through with it for voter support, so the case getting slapped down by the SCC would be a best case scenario for them since they could shrug and say "oh well, we tried"

The sole reason they've agreed to hear it is so they can rule in favour of the government, thus permanently enshrining the theft of private property as a legal right of the government.
The fact that anyone actually thinks the court would rule in favour of Canadian subjects over their masters is dangerously retarded.
