They were trying to show off the PS3's dynamic contrast. That's why gen 4 didn't have night vision on their super mega ultra advanced fi mechs. They wanted to show off the fucking flares illuminating patches of terrain on the many night missions it sends you on.
Whether that was Sony's mandate or something from decided for themselves is anybody's guess. Now that I think about it, maybe it was the console mogul's mandate that also forced the endless waves of brown and bloom shooters.

Anyone else kinda bored by Armored Core 6? To me the combat system feels very unrewarding, because getting good at it means the boss fights end near instantly. The whole game feels like a bunch of very identical dps rush fights stringed together invetween unremarkable MT fights.

I think the most fun I had with the game were the double heavy MT fights because they were slow paced and reactive enough that they didn't feel like you were on a timer and the stagger windows were not impossible to capitalize upon without some tailored dedicated setup. I was actually playing the game instead of the stagger minigame, if you get what I mean.
>>
>>23708181
sorry I can't really relate. I am a mercenary, I either do things efficiently or do combos for cool points, and AC6 makes it feel more close and personal.
It's the same for me with Sekiro, just change the word 'mercenary' above with 'shinobi'.
>>
>>23708181
Yeah, this is why I enjoy base AC 1 and base 4 the most for repeated playthroughs. In the rest of the games I felt that once I found an AC I was comfortable with the challenge never returned.
>>
>>23708181
I had fun with it for a long time, not really. I could still play more. Every videogames can end up boiling down to a DPS race.
Maybe the stagger system was a mistake, but as far as the SP is concerned, I thought staggering ACs and boss was always fun. The MT fights, it depends a few of them were are fun to fight
>>
>>23708287
?
>>
>>23708293
I postend in the wrong AC general.
>>
>>23708181
>To me the combat system feels very unrewarding
I was bored by the end of 100%ing it. I think it's also made worse by having to shoot up close or else it's cockblock effect ricochets that condition you into hating firefights. This also means you're not pressured much to dodge long range fire unless it's designated artillery or missiles. "Keep the cam on the enemy 99.9% of the time" gameplay compared to 90% of previous gens means you're not getting into cool dogfights and maneuvers
The only rewarding stuff is melee CQC builds but it's exactly too OP against ACs and bosses, and it's not good enough for me to learn to want to git gud against the PvP meta out there

Gens 1-4 just had more satisfying SFX and VFX overall. More so gen 1 which is some crunchy arcade cocaine candy, especially when you tweak MoA PLOW ACs to rape you in the custom arena harder and harder so the fights to have are endless
>>
>>23708181
The stagger system was a mistake. Moreover auto-targetting tends to eliminate a good deal of skill expression. I'm not saying it should come back but they didnt substitute that form of skill expression for another. These two factor combined create a very uniform and unrewarding gameplay loop.

You can also add to that the fact that most common ennemies are incapable of posing a real threath to your AC. In the first AC game, MTs were more or less equal to an AC, and subsequent game they could still pose a problem when massed. In AC6 they are canon fodder and little else. This reinforce the unrewarding gameplay loop sentiment.

Personally, the ideal game for me would be a slower paced ACFA, or a polished AC4.
>>
>>23708394
I forgot that the hard lock even existed. I used it in the first few missions and found it was easier to just track targets with the mouse.

>>
>>23708181
I liked the DPS rush of LC/HC fights because these niggers can fuck you up if you stall too much. Jobbers from your webm and before Worm's arrival are a nothingburger though.
AC fights are a shitfest with comically inconsistent TTK though thanks to stagger minigame shenanigans and their ability to heal. Sometimes you can delete them nearly instantly just because your combo matched their AP really perfectly. But other times you're killing them a bit too hard and they pop en estus and turn the fight into a chip damage marathon.
>>
>>23708468
You can blast through campaign just fine without ever touching that AIDS mechanic but you will always be reminded of its existence by inability to properly strafe and a couple spastic bosses.
And then there's PvP which I quit after realizing that there is no escape from getting parmastunned by homing quad spamming kicks and that outmaneuvering an APmaxxed tank with 4 laser cannons on chainfire isn't really a thing.
>>
>>23709126
So, a honest question. What is it about anime girls that compels the anime fandom members to insert them as the central element into everything they can? The gameplay looked fine but I can't think of any personally plausible to me reason for not having the player control a cool (or should I say interesting both visually and mechanically) gianto robotto instead of, well, that thing.
>>
>>23709431
You're a good 40 years too late to ask this question.
>>
>>23709439
I realize that I'm extremely late to the party, which is par for the course to me but I still want to know. I want a raw, undiluted, striking the heart of the matter answer to satiate my need to know. Why is that so particular?
>>
>>23709447
Are you asking why otaku like girls? It's not like most mecha musume don't also have ridiculously detailed robot parts. They're just putting the chocolate and peanut butter together.
>>
>>23709453
Yeah but if they're so inclined to insert them into the medium, why not just have the mecha be piloted by the everpresent cute anime girls instead of replacing them? Why not eat cake and have cake instead of just smashing two cakes together as if that's supposed to improve the taste?
>They're just putting the chocolate and peanut butter together.
Once again, yeah but why? And don't tell me that it's my autism that prevents me from enjoying that particular combination, I'm well aware of that.
>>
>>23709431
I like anime girls of course but it's such a shame they keep doing this, it makes no sense. it would be way better if they were wearing power armors like DxM2 actually, that's still mecha for me.
>>
>>23709454
>why not just have the mecha be piloted by the everpresent cute anime girls instead of replacing them?

NTA but i've been thinking a new AC kinda game with this would be cool, DxM was sorta that but its aesthetic and worldbuilding never captivated me enough for me to wanna continue, but the idea feels good still...it reminds me of that one Ace Combat clone with anime girls where you eventually go to space iirc.

I don't do that
>>
>>23708394
Yeah same (but I still think 6 is fucking amazing overall and I never woulda believed these devs, and Sekiro's director of all people, which I fucking hated, could make such a fantastic armored core game)
but yeah hopefully they can inspire themselves of the previous entries a bit more and find new ideas that goes beyond forcing certain playstyles/ranges in this kinda garbage modern "simon says" gamedesign way. The stagger and poor range systems are so forced in and have no business in armored core, they need to find more subtle ways to direct players into a fun rhythm/loop

So, speaking of the arena, what about Formula Front 2 but it's a Forza Horizon kind of thing?
>a huge enclosed region vertically sliced into multiple zones: a surface region with multiple types of biomes (terrain traversal/general purpose), a reappropriated abandoned underground city (urban combat/tight spaces playground), a warship fleet converted into loosely connected floating islands (full flight/Itano Circus type maneuvers) and above all a space station (the final frontier/endgame), all connected with a space elevator kind of structure in the center, the main but not sole means of travel between them
>the maps are sprinkled with both open world challenges and closed area "missions", be it racing/combat racing (from SchneiderMAXXED frames with no weapons to full on REDLINE), combat arena (think pvp modes but also in single player), historical reenactments (short storylines composed of special encounters or challenges based on the events from the old games, think Nexus Revolution Disc but it's a motorsports funfair), doing shady things (classic merc missions but it's mostly nighttime hit and run sabotage and less full on open corporate warfare) and some hidden surprises if you're extremely lucky/unlucky (that depends on how good you are)
>the shop stocks all the regular parts right from the start but you can get altered variants or special/prototype parts by beating specific ACs/bosses/challenges/getting sponsorships
>free LR style part and weapon tuning but it's loadout specific so you don't have to retune the parts when swapping between different ACs that share them
>AMS style tuning with points awarded in similar way as the original, so you can fine tune even more if you're good enough
>no hard lock (no spastic enemies that would require it, although melee weapons still home to a certain degree), instead you swap between a (free movement) decoupled camera mode and a (strafing) snapped behind back view mode, with both having use in different scenarios

This is essentially my dream mecha game, but it would never, ever happen with Armored Core.

Anyone have a picture of this AC's cockpit? I'm trying to find a specific piece of art. Pretty sure it was posted here a bunch of times, but I can't find it in the archives.
>>
>>23713527
>this AC's
Aren't those MTs? Anyway, I only have a pic of the core Zinaida's using.
>>
>>23710764
A lot of those missions still weren't great in that you just had to kill or ignore groups of bullet sponge enemies that can only wear you down. One of the most elaborate mazes in AC1 was the poison swamp base after all. Plus I think even they got tired of trying to force the game to be a cut-rate Jumping Flash with some of those platforming challenges.
>>
>>23713576
The floating block room sucked and I'm glad they never brought that back.
>>
I still have no idea how gen 4's FCS is supposed to work at all.
>>
i can't really put my finger on why, but i really don't like ac6 as much as i liked the older games. i keep seeing people gush hard as fuck over it, but i'm just not feeling it. got all 3 endings the month the game released and pretty much never touched it ever again
>>
>>23714026
There are two main factors I would point to.
One, in previous games you had to take the regular enemies somewhat seriously, but in AC6 the optimal strategy is usually to fly straight past all of them and either complete the mission or trigger a boss fight that causes them all to despawn, so the game feels like a conveyor belt from one boss fight to another.
Two, money actually mattered in previous games because you couldn't just replay missions until you succeeded. If you failed then you got nothing and you were stuck with a repair bill, so going into debt was a real danger. In AC6 not only is it impossible to fail missions but you can replay completed missions at any time and get paid for it, effectively giving you infinite money right from the start.
>>
>>23714220
>If you failed then you got nothing and you were stuck with a repair bill, so going into debt was a real danger.
You mean if you failed you reloaded your save so all AC6 did was eliminate the extra step? Wait a minute, didn't 4/A and V/D also let you redo missions without a fuss?
>>
>>23714026
almost everyone just praises it because AC6 has that obnoxious Sekiro posture bar that no actual AC fans actually like.
>>
>>23714026
I liked it but I havent gone back to it in a year. I still need to finish AA and LR, but recently Ive been replaying 3 and Nexus. There's nothing about 6 that makes me want to go back
>you couldn't just replay missions until you succeeded
Yes you can.
>>
>>23709431
I dont know ask Humikane Shimada.
>>
>>23701684
>>
>>23714830
I feel like I've distanced myself enough for the existential damage to ricochet but it doesn't.
>>
>>23714026
Because it's more like "Sekiro with flight kiting" action game than an arcade mecha sim
>>
>>23714026
it's my favorite in the series but I get why.
6 is fantastic for a run or 3 of the game but the mech building leaves too much to be desired, build variety exist but hardly matter to me because of the forced stagger mechanic (lame), forced landing (garbage), forced range (??!?!), and the game is a bit too fair overall, you really can just dodge everything the game throws at you, so really defense doesn't matter, turn speed doesn't matter, etc etc.
I hope they can rework the gameplay for the next game. I enjoyed the game A LOT, but mostly by taking it like an action game and less a mech builder.

also the difference in production values makes it unfair to directly compare 6 to the other games, we'll never know how incredible kino SL/LR/4FA would be if they had even a comparatively similar budget to 6 for the year these games were released.
>>
I like 4th gen but the quickboost is way too powerful and completely outclasses regular boosting and OB.
>>
>>23715118
Have you experimented with quick boost extensions in 2-3 gen yet?
>>
My favorite autism pastime is OBing under the spirit of motherwill while going quickboost turns to throw off the missiles chasing me
>>
>>23713585
There was also the blast furnace, the defend airship, destroy Plus escapee and retake the air cleaner levels. AC1 was never Bubsy 3d bad but the level of fidelity in your air control was just enough to make platforming feel off.
>>
>>23714026
The exact opposite for me despite AC6 being my last AC game. I tried so hard to relate to everyone who doesn't like even to the point of hating AC6 compared to AC, Project Phantasm, Master of Arena, AC2, Another Age, AC3, Silent Line, Nexus, Last Raven, AC4, For Answer, ACV, Verdict day.
I just can't. AC6 just where it ended up as, completely improved what other AC games lack. It's just that peak, the current fromsoft magnum opus.
>>
>>23714468
Yeah but those extra steps was what make AC game an AC game. AC6 doesn't have debt is not an AC game. Just action sloppa in mech coating.
>>
>>23715162
Nah that was hardware limitations, lack of quality of life features and pointless fluff smeared over some basic ass game over screen.
There was never any meaningful economy in AC no matter how hard you larp your way into inventing one.
>>
>>23715196
meh, newfags like you wouldn't what how it feels to make sure the mission doesn't turn out to be minus. It's a core system that makes it an armored core game.
>>
>>23715123
Nope.
>>
>>23715125
Usually my OB is fast enough to dodge by flying in a straight line.
>>
>>23715204
Newfags larping as olds like you are worse. You had to try to get into debt in the old games and that was just for getting Human Plus.
>>
>>23708334
AC6 meta isn't worth it.
All the strongest builds are boring to play and bullshit to fight.

Kites just run away and spam missiles at ants.

Tanks either spam kicks to also run away into the air and spam missiles, or rely on outtrading you with shit that's undodgeable at close range, like nebulas or the kurosawa.

Double shoulder cannon builds just rush you down with double zims or circle strafe you+elevator with double etsujins until you're staggered, then practically one shot you.

Tokurobos just backpedal away from you or elevator you, and their shields make you have to hit them 2x as much if you're not using rapid fire weapons.

Tetras are also total bullshit to fight unless you use primarily rapid fire weapons because hover dodging is so good, especially if you're a lamm leg user. Most common ones are double neb/double duo missile cells iirc. They can spam charged neb shots in your face while hovering around you too fast to trade anything with them, then run away and missile kite you if need be.

Everyone abuses terminal armor, so if you run a primarily melee focused build (funnest type of build in the game imo), you're probably guaranteed to eat a ton of damage all the time from having to be gassed in front of terminal users in order to reach them with melee. Even if you don't use melee, it's still annoying seeing your targets get artificial 5 second comebacks every time you "kill" them.
>>
>>23708334
>>23715371
It's very DPS racey at high levels unfortunately.
But you can always look for custom match lobbies or make one yourself and regulate it accordingly.
C to low A rank players might be willing to run less cheesy builds, like melee or presets.
Rank isn't a guaranteed way to tell someone's skill level. Unranks can be aces, and S ranks can be retarded.
Generally though:

unranked - D = noob fodder

C - low A = highest chance of not being trash but not being a meta slave either

High A - S = no fun allowed meta slaves that'll make you tear your hair out if you fight fairly, and put you to sleep if you don't

Finally, I just want to make clear that because something's meta, doesn't mean it's necessarily bad. It's just that the balance in AC6's pvp is pretty bad, so if you call someone a meta slave there, you can assume they're of the cancerous variety.
>>
>>23715196
I've been replaying AC3 lately without going for the usual money saving laser build, and cash has been a bit tight especially as soon as missions start requiring more specific builds, I wouldn't say this is completely true.
"Quality of life" in videogame usually mean "less fun" anyway.
We definitely need an economy that at least tries to be interesting in the next game, to punish players who play like shit on a mission, and punish those who never even think about using laser weapons, and they deserves a forced game over and restart the entire game if they fall into debt. They shouldn't be like:
>oh I got D ranks but I don't care about score in vidya anyway so fuck you
Even if it doesn't matter that much and it stops being a factor once you do gitgud, it's still a fun aspect of the earlier games that I enjoyed, that's better than completely optional rank systems.
>>
>>23715451
I agree. I said before in another thread but there was zero reason (other than franchise momentum) for 621 to be a "mercenary" in 6. The plot barely makes use of this in a way that feels new and interesting. It feels like it only serves the "you're the chosen one, now cause the third impact" plotline.

The fact that money is never a concern and I feel nothing from a good paycheck and cannot possibly lose ever, just makes it feel like the buy menu in Ultrakill. Nothing like I'm a professional soldier who's splitting hairs and counting pennies to afford a decent AC. One of the things I really appreciate about the older games is the struggle and triumph for something as simple as buying a new generator. I only ever felt that way in 6 when picking up the moonlight :/

Am I the only one who struggled with the enforcer more than qubeley malenia or balteus? I said struggled because I am speaking past tense
>>
>>23715563
Took me like 3 tries, that's the boss that seems easier if you're using a light AC
>>
>>23715563
The Enforcer took me 2 tries, but he felt more rough than the anorexic IBIS-Cel qubeley that took me like 4 tries AND the need to actually memorize her moveset.
Balteus was a one attempt pushover.
The Enforcer felt like one of the few bosses where my first runs' rushdown double melee retard AC was not a good approach at all. IBIS-Cel meanwhile felt helpless as just OBing into her face with some movement adjustments and vertical evasion pretty much neuters most of her attacks.

I don't think it's a common knowledge that all the hits could be mitigated by a shield. It's a game changer.

You should try fighting her now.
They nerfed her, but now you can fight her confidently with a cooler build.
Also, the ceiling of her arena is ridiculously high, so you can assault boost all the way up there with a coral engine and have a DBZ air battle with her like 5 miles into the air.

Just sucks these games never have ways to just get straight to the boss battles. You always have to go through a whole fucking level every time.

I dunno, I remember many times where I'd dumpster weapons because the ammo cost ended up being so damn much that it didn't feel worth it, and times where most of the mission reward would get eaten up by repair costs. I almost would never save builds so much as I would constantly buy & sell because parts and weapons could cost a lot and it would give me a larger suprlus to mess with. There was actually a reason, no matter how small, to consider these things.
Yeah you're gonna have a batshit amount of money after save transfering through a whole generation, no shit, but you still had to build all that up and ammo & repair costs aren't going to stop taking their share of it.

This also is what made the arena a fun side mode; since you didn't have to worry about costs, you could just go crazy and use weapons, extensions and other weird parts that would be extremely inefficient in normal missions.
>>
All this talk of economy and yet when I played through AC3/SL I just remember machine gunning or rifling everything to death and just going to the Arena if I really needed money.
I would argue the economy stopped mattering by like 4th gen anyway.

But like the other anon said, the only thing really keeping you from reloading your save in the old games was PS1/PS2 disc load times. Plus gen 1 kept giving you parts you could just sell even if you didn't stumble on the hidden ones. It literally tells you the best generator is hidden in a level with only the dodgy platforming standing in your way.

There's a difference between the game being unable to stop you from doing something and the game automatically doing that thing for you. In Nethack you could make backups of your save file to stop the game from deleting it, but adding a checkpoint system to the game would still fundamentally change the experience even though it's technically the same thing with fewer steps.

Because then you have to add constant pop-ups of her face yelling some dumb shit all the time for you to know she's there at all, and there's no real fucking point to it even if you do. The elements aren't really mixed here but remain separate.
Mecha-musume isn't to be treated as mecha + cute girls but rather as cute girls in combat + mecha-style equipment (which is cool as hell). A mecha (as in huge pilotable robot) fan is not expected to like it just like someone who really likes RPG shouldn't be expected to enjoy an "FPS with RPG elements".

I understand from a narrative perspective that they wanted to get Walter out of the way so they could introduce Ayre and Carla, but chapter 2 makes zero sense from a logistical perspective. You load yourself into a cargo catapult to get to the ice field, but when you get there Walter immediately catches up in the transport helicopter, so you could have just stayed in the transport helicopter and everything would play out the same.
>>
>>23722814
Weren't Walter said he's going away for a business while also looking for a way to transport you? That implies he doesn't have the means to brought you to another continent.
Him catches you there just meant he by himself could go there. Also the time is never clear as to how long it took between mission, so no one knows for sure if it was even "immediate"
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKUDy9B-eZA
>>
>>23722814
>>23723130
The implication is that he talked to Balam and Arquebus to explain the situation, which lead to them advancing to the new continent, and Walter hitched a ride with them. He expected you to just sit tight and go with them, but you were proactive and got there on your own ahead of him.
>>
>>23723130
>Also the time is never clear as to how long it took between mission, so no one knows for sure if it was even "immediate"
The games sure could use some visible time variation, like having seasons change between chapters, so even when you revisit the locations through the game, they look noticeably different, with maybe some season specific weather conditions affecting the gameplay.

So I just got into AC6 and while the game is a lot of fun (mid-Chapter 2), I'm not exactly feeling much incentive to experiment with different parts. Double Ludlows + starter pulse blade tends to work better than anything else I've tried so far. I guess I could've switched to pulse gun for Balteus at most.
Is this just that stage of the game or am I retarded and bereft of imagination?
>>

The pile bunker kills faster than the pulse blade once you get the timing down, but otherwise your setup is already close to optimal. The only thing dual Ludlows can't handle are the Weevil and Helianthus enemies, but those only show up in two missions and one of those is an optional fight.

I'm playing AC3 for the first time and I reasons to believe that the heat system is superior than AC6 stagger system

nta but i think stagger isn't necessarily bad but need to be less prevalent and toned down
i also like overheat in all it's forms, from 2 to nexus

I thought a sudden shutdown from too much impact would feel more immersive in a computing sense like lag or a Windows blue screen.
The heat system feels closer to how cars overheat, which comes from prolonged use rather than impacts, so it feels a little disjointed to me when they applied it to AC. The stagger system made more sense.
Or well fromsoft could just combine both on the later installment, but I don't think that's what they ever focused on. If they ever going to take on Sekiro or AC6 direction, they will focusing more on the flow of combat rather than the technicality of the mech.
>>
>>23731526
>sudden shutdown from too much impact feel more immersive
I thought so too

When do you think is the point of divergence where AC6 diverged from the main timeline? I just think the entire Kojimbo fiasco never happened in this new timeline.
>>
>>23731854
None because 6 is it's own timeline.
>>
>>23731526
it could be immersive if it didn't also magically arrest your momentum and have you stand there like a scarecrow

armored core used to be more about the garage than the combat and i'm sad to see it go this way

>Fromsoftware: MechWarrior 6!
Mechwarrior heat is so much better than AC's enrgy + heat. Gradually pushing your mech to the limit and having the option to go into life-threatening override or do a mic drop alpha strike into shut down is so much more fun than just giving up on life once you drain your battery.

Hot take, we need weapons that are stronger but increased stagger or overdrive assault boosting that also increases the stagger gauge.

What I don't get are the repair kits. There's no skill or strategy to using them, so why not remove them entirely and make up the difference by just increasing the health of the parts?

You can always just not use them. What is the problem here?
>>
>>23733071
I don't hate the system, I just don't see the point of it. Outside of challenge runs there's never a situation where you're going to take a load of damage and decide to not immediately repair it, so the repair kits just function as extra health, but then why not just give the player extra health?

I'm playing through Verdict Day and it's honestly faster than ACVI. Why did Fromsoft fuck the sixth gen game up?
>>
>>23733231
>I'm playing through Verdict Day and it's honestly faster than ACVI
The misconception about 5th gen being "slow" comes from players not utilizing and understanding the game's mechanics.
Even in AC6 you see streamers not using ASSAULT boost in combat.
>>
>>23733267
>Even in AC6 you see streamers not using ASSAULT boost in combat
This is a reference to the fact that AB does, and has always felt like total shit to use.
No, I don't like shitting up my boost and crippling my mobility just so I can... move really fast in one direction. Gay as fuck. Bunnyhop or nothing.
>>
>>23733155
The thing is that it could help new players to enter the franchise while it's also not mandatory for old players to use. That's why it's not a shitty mechanics since it serve a purpose.
That's why I ask, what is the problem for you?

>>23733152
I'd argue so it could prolong the fight with AC enemy since you could one hit kill them if you've got the right set ups even if the enemy AC were given extra health.
>>
>>23733314
>The thing is that it could help new players to enter the franchise
Are these "new players" that need help entering the franchise in the room with us right now?
>That's why I ask, what is the problem for you?
Can I opt out of my opponents using "new player" lock in PvP?
Can I opt out of being unable to strafe without "new player" lock?
Can I opt out of being unable to steer my melee hits without "new player" lock?
>>
>>23733354
>Are these "new players" that need help entering the franchise in the room with us right now?
I dunno.
>Can I opt out of my opponents using "new player" lock in PvP?
>Can I opt out of being unable to strafe without "new player" lock?
>Can I opt out of being unable to steer my melee hits without "new player" lock?
Oh you're moving the subject from healing to a lock on.
Well, my answer is you need to adapt grandpa. All of those is more of your preference rather than an actual "problem".
>>
>>23733152
They internalized some of the design philosophy of the Soul series. So instead of stratigically placed resupply trucks (helicopters?) youget 3 health ups per mission and that is final.
>>
>>23731503
>>23732092
>>23732186
But you do get frozen (especially mid-air) when you get hit too hard in 3. That flinchng is even more unforgiving then the stagger mechanic because it isn't a bar and you will get stunned every time under the same conditions.

That said, I do miss it when facing flying RATs.
>>
>>23733361
>Oh you're moving the subject from healing to a lock on.
Got lost in the posts. As for healing it's just a retarded captcha on your healthbar. You can't "avoid" it. You can do a challenge run and play with less total AP or you can play with healthbar captcha.
My self-imposed challenges did not ship with the game, it was not designed around them and it doesn't acknowledge them.
>>
>>23733366
I begrudgingly forgive Playstation 2 game for not having proper physics.
>>
>>23733423
An easy fix would have been to give the repair kits weight and let the player decide how many to equip, so you start out with three but if you feel confident you can remove them to free up a bunch of extra space in your build.
>>
I'm starting to think they aren't making AC6.5
>>
>>23733477
Checked. Probably not. Rubicon seems like a self contained story. The multiple endings make it harder to make AC6: Another Age.
>>
>>23733491
They could always make AC6 The Last Merc
>>
>>23733491
>>23733530
They could pick up on Liberator since it's the most incomplete ending. Name it Armored Core 6: Nest of Ravens and have 622 show up in a new Coral-powered Nightfall 2.

>>
>>23734902
C3-291 is a canon character named in the briefing for "Eliminate VIII". In the liberator ending, Allmind is still around and 291 is the only remaining candidate for coral release.
>>
>>23734930
C3-8079 is a joke character I came up with on a whim by taking a canon character from another established franchise and reworking him into an AC pilot. I completely ignored the liberator ending, instead opting for a more obscure tale of an offworld coral augmentation test subject turned professional if not suspiciously successful mercenary AC pilot.
