Looking back through Desu many times, I feel like the early fandom was extremely biased in the way it often looked at the characters. Applejack, Rarity, and Twilight were all criticized way more stringently than Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, And Fluttershy were. Even to this day, Applejack episodes and early Rarity episodes are considered more controversial than I think they reasonably are. I obviously can't prove it, but I think if you really stop and look at the complaints made objectively, you would find that people in general are way harder on Applejack episodes than they are the episodes of Pinkie or Rainbow Dash. To this day episodes like Somepony to Watch Over Me or Apple Family Reunion were and still are judged way more harshly than the episodes of other characters. Normally I wouldn't care about something like this, but to this day people still judge episodes based on what the fandom consensus of them is, and I think the popularity of some of the characters has definitely been effected by how the fandom was just way harder on some of them than others. Applejack over all has pretty good episodes, and it really only seems like hes are regarded as hit or miss is because of people holding her to way higher standards than other characters. Meanwhile almost every Pinkie Pie episode is divisive on some level, but no one ever talks about her being a weak character or suffering from bad episodes.

Are you still referring to earlier in the fandom here? Because if you aren't, this is pretty laughable. Swarm of the Century, Griffon the Brush-Off, Green isn't your colour, Feeling Pinkie Keen—these are commonly used as sources for criticism towards Pinkie in S1 alone. A Friend in Deed is brought up as a poor episode propped up by the Smile Song. Filli Vanilli? You've really never seen anyone comment on how she acts towards Fluttershy?
Those are all 'early season' (or at least earlier in the case of S4) examples. Late season Pinkie is often regarded as annoying, loud, and devoid of any charm she previously had. The less said about Yakity Sax and A Trivial Pursuit the better.

No no, I don't really dislike Pinkie, but what I mean is that she was super popular even despite having pretty mediocre episodes. Yea I was.

Frankly I think it's because of her being the designated comedy character. Having a character who's role is "the funny one" practically always leads to them being kind of one note. Discord suffered the same fate. Overall I think comedy might have hurt the show and characters more than it helped them.
Could just be bias on my part though. I'm usually not super into comedy stuff. Even though Pinkie is in my top three ranking of the mane 6, she's the character I tend to think of the least amount of scenarios for. The show using her as a gag character diminished her potential uses greatly in my eyes.

Of course you can use another software to write text, but it's probably gonna be as tedious as using the built in text tool itself. Plus it loses its vector properties once it is rasterized and you bring it back into krita so it's gonna be hard to change it after.
Honestly it doesn't bother me that much since I mostly use Krita for drawing, and don't make comics. It's even forced me to try to work on my hand calligraphy a bit. But when you do need it and have no other option, god is it awful. I've heard it is being reworked as we speak but don't quote me on that.

This year is G4's 16th anniversary and it feels very odd. Friendship is Magic is one of those series I can't process as being old. This doesn't happen to me with other cartoons from the same era like Adventure Time or Regular Show, if they tell me they are as many years old, my reaction is "Yeah, it does makes sense" but Friendship is Magic has so many small aspects to its presentation and world which makes it feel like something that could come out just yesterday, regardless of time or place.
I'll feel so god-damn old in a few decades when there will be parents younger than the show itself.
