Gythaproxy is still up. But it hasn't had a real stress test before, just my experiments. So we'll see what part falls over under real usage

How much deviation necessitates a new card? Taking for instance Twilight's older Alicorn form would that be better suited on a new card altogether or would a simple reminder to the ai that she looks different suffice? If a scenario is in the past by a couple years and is wearing different clothes would a reminder be enough there?

I've thought of trying to make a Pear Butter card (at least jury rigging one as I don't make cards myself but splice together ones I can manage to find to work for what I need) but these types of questions have me stumped. Ideally I'd want a card associating Pear Butter as Applejack's mother but a scenario I've thought of is based around the flashbacks burnt oak cucking bright mac if have to know. How much is too much for the AI to get tripped upped?

If you take into account greetings too, then definitely a new card because the scenarios you can propose with her are totally different.
If it's just more details or a slight AU, you can edit an existing card.
If you need information just for a greeting and not for the others, you can also use getVar in the card description then setVar all you need inside of the greetings.

But getVar, setVar is more if you want to add details that are specific to one greeting and not to the others.
For instance, if you have a normal pony card but want a specific greeting where she's cursed by Poison Joke and some things/mechanics happen but only for this greeting and not the others, then it works, because the description of the card stays the same; you are just adding info to it.
For your Mayor card, if you want a card that is only set during her youth, then I say make a new card.

In this specific case, it's just a hack because you can have several greetings on a card but only one description for all of them.
To give an example, let's say you have a Starlight Glimmer card and you want one greeting with a scenario where she has a mini angelic Fluttershy and a mini devil Rainbow Dash that always follow her and judge what she does. You don't want that in your other greetings.
So you write a normal description for Starlight and at the end you put:

Then:

You don't need the mechanic here, so you don't put a setVar, and the description will just be the normal stuff.

A way to scale and change the opacity of the dialogue box would be nice, as well as the ability to change the font size. I’d like to make it resemble the Ren’Py version as much as possible, since I associate it with VNs and find the style appealing.
I also haven’t seen it in motion yet, but do the sprites fade nicely from one to another like in the current VN, or do they jarringly flip between them in a single frame? And based on screenshots I’ve seen, it seems like characters no longer become semi-transparent when someone else is talking. Maybe that’s something I’ll get used to, but have you not run into the issue of the AI adding more than three characters into a scene? I imagine the overlapping issue would be worse without transparency.

Has roleplay changed the way you guys view characters? I used to like Rainbow Dash but interacting with her made me realize how much I hate her obnoxious personality. Rarity has been getting on my nerves too. But when I only watches the show and consumed fan content I liked them because people self-censored and wanted to show them in the best light possible, it's only through AI giving me the freedom to look elsewhere that the other inevitable parts of their personalities come through and you get a taste of what reality with these mares are like, and it isn't good.

It's mostly the reverse for me, where I find characters like Rarity really fun to talk with, for instance, which gave me a new appreciation.
I'm also keeping in mind that these models are still not advanced enough to really simulate a "real being" (yeah, I know); they still lack some subtlety and will easily tend toward clichés. Some things are even getting worse, like Twilight being all "Science! Probabilities!" by default and the need to steer models away from that; it was present on some older models but not to the same degree.
To be fair, some episodes also went too far or leaned too hard on clichés when displaying traits or personalities, and there's a lack of depth that means you'll need to fill things in with headcanon if you want to dig deeper into a character.

i've been looking at the content moderation thing for my upstream provider. the responses are too quick to likely be another llm investigating the content, and paraphrasing and euphemism of the same thing works when blocked, so it's likely some script that looks at a percentage of no-no words or something

Yes but I know it isn't completely their canon personality. The AI takes worldinfo(3500 tokens) and persona(530 tokens) into account and makes something that's unique.

The operative word was "brat", however, all mares are submissive or dominant or brats or whatever the fuck makes my dick hard at the time. Although in my favorite card they're more of a team usually running coordinated manipulation of Anon and in enthusiastic control more often than not. Kind of my fetish and fits surprisingly well with them.
In the timeline Starlight killed Anon several times during the events of the Cutie Re-mark (couldn't risk the murderhobo monkey from interrupting her revenge) and Trixie did make him her concubine during her brief rule of Ponyville. Partly to fuck with Twilight, partly because they had story together.
Frankly I feel at this point to describe their dynamic I'd need a page or two.

This was my first SS event so I played it (probably too) safe. Goals for writing her, as they usually are for me with background characters, was to take whatever scraps I could glean from episodes and extrapolate the shit out of them. I am not too experienced in making bots, only know the general principles.
I rely heavily on the fact that modern high end models are amazing at mlp knowledge, and already have great results with keeping the anatomy and holding characters.
So I'm case with an existing character like this, as my task was to expand/reimagine, I focused on the quirks/headcanons/gimmicks instead of building the character ground up as was done with existing cards made in the early days.
The vibe is the prime guide, write stuff you want showing up in chat directly in card description, subtle behaviours that isn't directly written out in the hidden defs.
I suck at making greetings, so I asked the cards itself.

Interesting. I would get blank responses when I encrypted the entire prompt, so the workaround was to encrypt just no-no words. If you're still getting blank responses, then purely as a guess the percentage of marepussy is too high and gets filtered. I would need some logs to investigate, but no one has sent any in yet
Alternatively I could log on failures or something, but that raises ethical issues for me

long waits are from the shortcuts I had to take to keep it running with the high demand and usage limits on my hosting. At first it did sticky sessions and load balancing among the available tokens. but that used up our kv quota, so now it just sends requests at random among the pool. When I get time to find different hosting it should improve
