HoT is entirely built around EVIL anyway so just do a losing faction disbands match to pop attendance and kill the group

I don't see why people hate Newman. He doesn't even wrestle like a flippy shitter anymore like he did back in '24. His match against Goto showed he is a better seller than Ospreay ever was and he has long since abandoned being a bad Will tribute act.
>>

Lots of spots open in the G1 this year. Evil, Sanada, and Tanahashi are definitely out. And other guys who might miss depending on contracts: Kidd, Takeshita, and Finlay. Of the play-in guys we will have a non zero chance of the Lonestar and/or Ishii depending on how desperate New Japan is. Oskar and Yuto will definitely get slots and Goto as well.
>>
>>19764826
If nothing else, I'm glad this guarantees KOB. I thought they would pull the "tag team wants to focus on that" when the time came, but it's dumb to at the very least not let Ice get some singles matches against his Reiwa classmates.
>>
Urufu and Lee slipped my mind so sans the play in guys. If only 3 leave i could see them cutting Yoshi Hashi. To make room for both of KoB. I would imagine they would do that instead of both members of Bishamon who they were clearly going to down cycle if not for roster turn over and the whole spontaneous Goto revolution.
>>
>>
>>19765057
I doubt Okada is coming back for a G1. He wants to coast as much as possible till he retires. It really depends on who has double contracts and what not. Like is Takeshita still contracted? Who knows? He is working NB-USA, but that could just be a leftover date or a favor to New Japan. Kidd maybe could be in it, but I am doubtful. Andrade seems like a real possibility. Then it also depends on if it overlaps with their fake G1. Last year they placed a premium on using their own guys, so I could see that being the case again this year.

It's unsurprising in some sense. Half the roster is in that shitty faction. It is gonna to be absolutely brutal to watch now though. At least at the end of HoT fueds we got a semi decent Evil match at the end. Now we are cooked.

Sad to see our president going (https://streamable.com/2y7zbn is my vote for most kino NJPW moment of the decade so far) but I'm very excited to finally see if Ren has what it takes, they're gonna make him sink or swim now. If he steps up to the plate it's gonna KWAB Shokek even more than Tsuji breaking out already did. I'm supporting Ren for president! #NARITA2026
>>
>>
>>19769556
My first thought when it comes to Narita is his performance in the dog pound steel cage match. Killer look drenched in blood and fighting with Gabe. Felt like that was a turning point for him that they didn't do anything with, outside of his G1 upset over ZSJ.

Really sad that both Jay and EVIL were starting to get serious traction from the audience like AJ and Kenny had only for their runs to abruptly end. Just ONE fucking match where Ibiru wrestles clean as a whistle, I mean come on, the crowd was cheering him to win the damn G1, they were ready for it. Would have positioned Narita to take over by beating the shit out of him after for being an honorablecel like Kenny did to AJ when he lost his heel edge against Shinsuke. I guess they let EVIL go unburied in order to not take away any of Wolf's rub.

Really interested to see how far Boltin will go and when they're gonna start his big push, he was already very protected as a young boy but they haven't pushed the button yet for some reason. One of the very few gaijins in history alongside Zacky Big Tekkers who are locks for being NJPW 4 LIFE, but went even further than Zack by having his name be in Japanese naming conventions (ultimate honoraburu gaijin move), overall the fans have an extremely close bond with him. Hopefully Boltin can get a few main events this year!

This performance will age like the finest of wines when Wolfcuck wrestles his next singles match and everyone realises he's absolute fucking dogshit, lower than the worst young lion tier at wrestling, when he isn't paired up with a god tier ring general like the Iyo smasher. >And then there was another big piece of news. Shingo Takagi-kun, who trained at the Hamaguchi Dojo, announced that he married Natsupoi-san. Actually, before it was made public, Takagi-kun suddenly came to our gym in Asakusa. He asked, “Is Chairman (Animal Hamaguchi) here?” Then the three of us—my father, Takagi, and me—were talking, and he said, “I’m getting married.” And he was wearing a wedding ring! I was totally shocked and so happy that I got all excited and went, “Uoooo!” And then he apologized to me, saying, “Sorry I’m getting ahead of you” (laugh). At the time it was all celebratory, but later, when I thought back on it, I couldn’t help laughing. In my head I muttered, “That’s none of your business!”
>Other people were there, so he contacted me again that night and told me who his partner was: Natsupoi-san.
>Takagi-kun is very laid-back and does things at his own pace. Once, even when I and the gym staff were all eating together, having a great time, and the vibe turned into “Next place!” Takagi-kun had this intense “I want to go home” aura (laugh). He doesn’t get swept along! If he has work or training the next day, he absolutely sticks to his own priorities. Pro wrestling and self-management come first—that’s why he’s where he is now. Truly “charging straight ahead on my own path.” So if that Takagi-kun is getting married, I think it means Natsupoi-san really captivated him. I’m genuinely happy for them. He also said, “I wanted to come together with her.” I’d be happy if I get to meet her sometime soon.
>>
>>19771347
>It inspired me too~. I read in the Tokyo Sports article that Natsupoi-san made the first move. Like Takagi-kun, I also have a bit of that laid-back, my-own-pace side, so I thought it’d be nice if there were someone more proactive. I feel like the momentum is coming to me, too. Last year I got to do three wedding toasts, and then Takagi-kun and people around me are getting married. Up until now I’d get nervous and not show myself, or I’d end up hiding how I felt—but I feel like I’m at my peak right now, and like I could have a fun romance. It’ll be a fun date!
>My muscles are in really good shape right now, too. I’m eating less than when I was competing, but I’m bulking up. Maybe it’s because even if I have an early-morning shoot, I still make sure to go to the gym and get my hands on the dumbbells and machines.
>Alright! Let’s go for 30 kg dumbbell curls! How about a muscly grown woman~! Kiai da~!

There's always gotta be a top Japanese heel along with a foreign one. Lee and Callum lead the gaijin side and unfortunately all we have for a foreigner is Narita.
>Always an outside shot they get a clue and turn Umino
Not happening since Tanahashi wants more than just Uemura and Wolf leading the Hontai heavyweights.

NJPW should consider trades. See if NOAH, Dragon Gate, and AJPW would let a rep each go to the G1 in exchange for borrowing a NJPW wrestler for the N1 or Champion Carnival or whatever. Problem is when NJPW does this usually their offer is either a dad like Nagata or a Young Lion they don't care about getting jobbed out.
>>
>>
>>19775806
NJPW is the big leagues in Japan by a significant margin. As more spots on NJPW cards open up, they'll be filled more by guys from NOAH, DDT, AJPW, etc, who are looking for more money and more notoriety.
That's how we got guys like SANADA, Taichi, Shingo Takagi, Ishii, Kanemaru, etc.
>>
>>
>>19775806
>See if NOAH, Dragon Gate, and AJPW would let a rep each go to the G1 in exchange for borrowing a NJPW wrestler for the N1 or Champion Carnival or whatever.
This only worked out in the 2000s because the promotions were a lot closer to the same level as each other. This is why New Japan doesn't care to do so now, they're much much bigger than everyone else. Stardom does more cooperation with their talent because they want to. Hiromu did that NOAH run for his buddy AMAKUSA to go over in the end.

This is really the main reason. When Marigold first started they were genuinely worried about it taking market share so Okada employed as many tactics as possible to make it harder to get off the ground. Like trying to draw eyes to other Joshi indies. That being said it has still found its own niche. Stardom has distanced itself as a clear number 1. Whereas Marigold competes with TJPW for number 2 with the former being much stronger outside of Tokyo compared to the latter. Marigold doing good outside Tokyo enables them to run more shows and have higher total ticket sales despite similar averages. Reminds me of DG kinda.

>Tetsuya Naito congratulates Shingo Takagi and EVIL on their “new beginnings,” and sends a reunion message: “It really fires you up”
>Tetsuya Naito (43) of “Los Tranquilos de Japon (LTJ)” celebrated the “new beginnings” of his former comrades. Shingo Takagi, who fought alongside him in “Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ),” has gotten married, while EVIL has left the company—each reaching a major turning point. While drawing inspiration from the two of them, Naito also looked ahead to a possible reunion in the ring someday.
>Naito competed for the French promotion BZW on the 24th (25th Japan time). After returning home, he summoned this paper’s reporter to a family restaurant and reflected on his solo excursion: “It was my first time going to France, and sure, the venue was small, but the reason I left NJPW was because I wanted to wrestle in front of all kinds of people. This time was probably the closest I’ve come to what I most wanted to do.” He added with a grin, “And as you’d expect from a country of fine cuisine—Burger King and Subway were both extremely delicious.” It seems that no matter where he goes in the world, what he eats doesn’t really change.
>At NOAH’s 2/11 Korakuen event, he and BUSHI are set for their first defense of the GHC Tag Team Titles against KENTA & HAYATA. But what’s been lighting a fire under Naito lately is news about his former parejas. First, Takagi—who announced on the 13th that he had married Stardom’s Natsupoi—reportedly told Naito directly. “I’ve known Takagi for 25 years, so I probably know him better than his wife does. Maybe Natsupoi is regretting it by now? I can’t help but worry,” he said, meddling unnecessarily, before continuing: “We’re the same age, but he’s incredibly energetic, and now that he’s got a partner, he’s probably even more fulfilled, right? Seeing how fulfilled he is is really motivating. But I didn’t want to see Takagi all lovey-dovey, so I didn’t watch the livestream,” he said, eyes shining.
>>
>>19779727
>Meanwhile, EVIL—who had been active as an original member until leaving LIJ in July 2020—was announced on the 26th as having departed the company. Naito confessed what he’s been feeling: “Back in the LIJ days, I thought about so many things—how to fight, what to say, even something as simple as an entrance. We ended up walking different paths, but he was still someone I paid attention to. I’d even thought maybe someday we’d be standing in the same corner again… Watching him take a step forward like this really fires you up.” He continued: “LIJ was that big of a thing for me, and I don’t know what ring it’ll be, but as long as we’re still active, we might meet again. Maybe it’ll be soon, maybe it’ll be way down the line—I’m looking forward to that moment,” his motivation clearly rising.
>After saying everything he wanted to say, Naito pressed at the corners of his eyes and abruptly stood up: “Still… to think a day like this would come for ‘that man’ I signed up at the Animal Hamaguchi Gym with… Oops, sorry. Mind if I go to the bagno (note: the restroom) for a bit?” He then left his seat. But he showed no sign of returning, and all that remained on the table was the bill.

Not one bit. It’s just going to be a bit of crowd pleasing for the fans, a repeat of Naito vs Kenter. The guy the popular new champ beat to win the belt was respected (if not beloved) so they immediately put him with a guy everyone fucking hates to get him a babyface rub. I expect Shoter to absolutely KWAB Jake and this will probably cement him as THE new hometown hero for the reiwa era.

Jake is basically doing the EVIL thing where he likely isn't gonna win but since you know how the company books there's that creeping thought in the back of your mind that says "oh fuck they're gonna do it"
I don't think he's winning but that creeping though is gonna make for some great drama

Ice is too beloved by the crowd to be a heel. The biggest problem facing the promotion is that none of those people you listed are suited to being heels. With EVIL gone there's no big heel. Lee's gonna job to Tsuji and then probably never be relevant again, Narita's a failure. Newman sucks and his heel run is only a vehicle for an eventual Ospreay match. There only option atm is to see what Shota as a heel looks like.
>>
>>
>>
Ren's heart is into it. Hes just worse than Shota. Shota literally had to take over that boring ass G1 match they were having because the crowd was pure crickets, and by then it was too late. Hes gotten bigger which is a plus but not hes just a fatter version of the same guy.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>19787578
No it aint. He's a rebel at heart anyway, this just means the possibilities with him are expanded. You CAN make him be the heel for a program but that's just hard to do now since he's cooler than everybody else around.

Ren better come out to the next show in the shoulder pads and gladiator gear that EVIL had. House of Torture needs an extravagant, campy, ludicrous leader, not some fag in jeans and a tank top like jap Dean Ambrose.
Honestly just let SHO have the leadership role instead he has the same comedy personality as EVIL.

I root for Chase because he grew up like 20 minutes away from me and we're the same age. If I had known Ricky Morton had a fucking wrestling school up there, I would be in Japan sucking on titties like Ishii right now.

Lee is so fucking dimes, I seriously hope this can be a WK21 main event rematch if they have good chemistry.
And I seriously they don't kwab my niggas Oskar and Yuto just to try and brute force Poochie on us again. Hopefully Yuya breaks up with him after they lose.
Will of EVIL-inheriting, upgraded Ren is taking the belt back off Wolfcuck for sure, the guy can't wrestle a match yet. He had his WK moment but now it's going back to a non greenhorn.
Hope Tekkers-san wins desu.

You have Yota Tsuji, who is the ace of the promotion. He got his genes blasted during his development which caused him to surpass normal human limits and develop beautiful pearly whites. He is an incel.
Jake Lee is an evil Korean guy. He wants to punish Japanese Fucking Shits and make fun of them. I would say he is also an incel but he is probably a rapist.
Aaron Wolf is a fatass but good at judo.
Zack Sabre Jr. looks like a gay porn star, so unsurprisingly great at wrestling men into submission.
And we have the Crown Jewel, Chase Owens. He has a doughy body and only serviceable skills, but his finisher is the most powerful in the world, even more powerful than the One Winged Angel. He is basically like if Ethiopia had a thermonuclear missile.
And we have Yuto Ice, who is a street brawler drug addict and is always seen with his lanklet German boyfriend.
That rounds out the main event scene of NJPW, that's all you need to know.

Okada has one of the best finishers in the history of pro wrestling. He almost always makes it look like a million fucking bucks. The Shibata one is my favorite.
>>
>>19802105
It’s a great move but he didn’t become a protective self mark until it was too late, it got kicked out of frequently during his NJPW run. Only time it deserved a kickout was Naito at the double gold dash. Like, Ibushi kicked out it the fucking day before that. Okada had to hit Ibushi with 5 rainmakers in that match. The rainmaker had WWE tier protection.

If AJ signs with gayew he probably will come over to NJPW for a show or two, but I don't even know who he would face. All his rivals from his run are no longer in the company. Maybe Naiter would come back for one match?

I mean disregarding pay it’s a forever job, I can’t imagine NJPW has anything for him when he hangs it up. He couldn’t do Rocky’s job in a million years, and no way the loyalty fags at NJPW give Rosser the broom and install Finray in his place after the No Days Offmeister putting up with the 6 year post coof humiliation ritual that is the US side of things.

goddamit i hate gedo. every time i think about watching a show, I look at the card and it's
>rando tag slop
>more rando tag slop
>even more rando tag slop
>maybe 1-2 matches I actually care about
WK was so damn good, and not because of the tag matches either. everybody talks about Tanahashi Vs Okada, Tsuji Vs Takeshita and Wolf Vs Aaron. there was rando tag slop on that show but nobody gave a fuck about that. why can't they take a lesson from that? WK proved that they have all the talent they need, they just need to book matches that people want to see. but all gedo wants to do is masturbate over endless tag matches and kill the momentum from WK. they managed to get that fat ugly treasure troll faggot gedo to cut back on the rando tag slop for one night, and they sold out the tokyo dome. and then right afterward, he goes back to literal endless tag slop. GODDAMIT GEDO WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? YOU HAVE SOME OF THE BEST TALENT IN THE WORLD AND THIS IS ALL YOU CAN DO WITH THEM? COMMIT SEPPUKU NOW!

don't watch Road To shows you absolute fucking dipshit
they're small tour shows and they do so many multi-mans to feature as many wrestlers on the card as possible, so fans actually get to see who they want instead of 8 guys total from the roster doing 4 singles matches
fuck off, slopbrain
>>
>>
>>19811928
Touring company, ya simp
They're focused on popping the little Harukas and Takeshis out in the sticks who can't come to the big shows and making sure they get to see everyone wrestle, not running a weekly Trannymite or Rawslop with hour long singles matches ya dimwit

so basically all I'm getting from you is "stop watching new japan". and you guys wonder why that company is in decline! yes, chasing people away is a great idea! I'm sure Inoki would be proud!

Yes, you should stop watching new japan. We're fans of wrestling, we don't care about gay ratings console wars or things 'declining' or any of the gay shit you normally post about

this does not excuse gedo's awful booking. these cards are literally just endless tag slop and you're lucky to get 1-2 singles matches. I understand that they want to get more people on the cards but that is not an excuse for booking shitty shows. pic related is what gedo should do right now.
