I found a separate set of PS2 games organized in ranges of title (#-F,G-O,P-Z) and I'm stuck on the G-O one at like 97%. OK so I got this torrent and thanks for that but about half the games on the list dont work, I repeatedly get messages saying I am missing data but the all the zips are there in the folder and they all have files in the zips. Many of the games do work so its not that the emulator is broke. What do I need to do?

I recommend grabbing a romset with the version listed from archive.org
You can also grab a FBNeo romset and play that, it has less games but better curation. Not compatible with mame though. For some reason mame and fbneo zips have a different naming scheme (the files in them are usually identical, but nobody wants to waste their time renaming them)

As for your 82 percent, I suspect its because most people only take the RAR's they actually want, and not the whole pack. They either dont have the space needed, or the bandwidth. Some of us have limits, they might be high, like 5TB a month, but its still a limit and we may not be able to handle that kind of data.

Copy the RETROLauncher folder to a USB, run RETROLauncher.elf and it worked perfectly. In fact, a Sega game, Real bout fatal fury Sega Genesis edition, worked perfectly. I couldn't get it to work on console emulators, but in this one it worked perfectly. The emulated consoles work very smoothly, it's surprising.

Didn't feel like making a thread but fuck me for not sharing sooner. Don't know if these torrents still work but maybe you'll get lucky and get a seed. The torrents came from http://www.gamemp3s.net/ which had a shit load of video game music torrents but the site went down. Archive.org can luckily still grab a few of the magnetlinks but from what little I tested, doesn't seem like the trackers work anymore. These link below also aren't all they had either. I have all (or almost all) gamemp3s.net OSTs until 09/10/2019 (that was last time I downloaded from there) and probably the last download was Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY JIRITSU
Folder total size is 214,1 GiB. There are other OSTs from other sites as well
How can I help? Is there a fast way, seedbox, or recommended cloud (please no google drive), or another option, which is better?
I also have some loose gamemp3's .torrent files, but they are random and I'm sure a lot of albuns is missing, I think is it better create a new one, or just share the older .torrent bigger ones (like 2009, 2010 archive collection, etc) and create another new one with all that come after these collections

I bit late but I use a different torrent client but there's probably an option like right clicking on a selected torrent and selecting "Add tracker" or something and you just copy and past the links from https://github.com/ngosang/trackerslist and the torrent will start working again. qBittorrent had a tracker tab for selected torrents so I just right clicked and added trackers.

Hey, not that I am mad, but I see you used makecd instead of the makedvd command for God of War (I assume the same for other dvd based games).
was this just a genuine mistake or is this to increase compatibility with AetherSX2? Anyway, that was an odd use of my broadband as a British person.

It's a 7Z file. Neat game. I put out the fires, don't know what to do after that, just see some guy running around through the window. I played it with the stella emulator for Atari (install on Arch Linux: "sudo pacman -S stella"). Opening the .7z as a .rom in stella: black screen annoying blaring/buzzing sound.

A concern with that is already-existing "historic" torrents. For example, "James Bond 007: Blood Stone" for the PS3 and other systems. You can look at

Multiple way out of trying to not make duplicate torrents:
(1) Lots of work: try downloading all available (already-created) torrents for a given PS3 game, compare to packed and unpacked version from Myrient. If a match is found, don't create a new torrent.
(2) Better quality, not much work, lower accessibility: go the web archiving route and get WARCs of Myrient's video game file links. This would amount to a partial web archive of Myrient. Create torrents for each PS3 game file WARC (would contain HTTP headers and so on).
(3) Lower quality, not much work, higher accessibility: get raws of Myrient's PS3 game file links. For each one, create a torrent where the name is "Myrient_007 - Blood Stone (Japan).zip"
Solution (3) sounds like something everyone would be interested in. Solution (1) is good, but I'm not too interested in doing that now. Solution (2) is the best one IMO, but I know there aren't too many real web archivists around; also people would complain about having to get the ZIP out of the non-compressed .warc (would use .warc and not .warc.gz as it's already compressed).

Solution (3) makes sense due to the ZIP files in myrient being in the TorrentZip format. When using https://romvault.com/trrntzip/ software the created ZIP files are the same no matter which OS or program version they were created on/via; these type of .zip files are more conducive to IPFS and BitTorrent.

SFV files are in the format "[filename] [checksum]" and not "[checksum] [filename]". It was somewhat of a bad idea to put those non-ISO files in there in the first place. Maybe only put the hash/checksum in those files with no filename, then things would be less complicated. Results:

About trying to regenerate the missing tiny files: The .sfv files may use a tab character instead of a space. If it uses a tab then that's another 4 permutations to try: lowercase checksum or not, checksum at start or not; tried so far: 1/4. Torrent set "[Redump.org] Sony Playstation 3 - [NUM to C]" is LOST MEDIA for now until someone can figure out how to regenerate those tiny files (may be impossible to do if they contained incorrect information to begin with). I think the main reason they do that is to save on bandwidth. I'm almost certain there's been multiple ROM websites which linked to the archive.org direct download link (DDL) for games. That, and to limit users using IA directly. Some ROM websites probably linked to Myrient for DDLs, and in response Myrient made their files harder to download or archive.

I put some work into trying to regenerate one of those lost files. It's probably very hard or impossible to regenerate that compressed Nintendo Switch ROM file ("Tetris 99[010040600C5CE000][US][v0].nsz", 79.0 MiB). I hope that some chad shows up with all 3630 GiB (someone who has all of the data). Even regenerating "simple files" like >>1382265 to >>1382360 should have been easy, but it wasn't and I haven't done it. Therefore, there's like no hope for these significantly more complex .nsz files. What I did: 1. Install nsz

5. Think about how unlikely it is to be successful and match to the hashes in the torrent = give up. There's multiple layers of non-deterministic data. Deterministic data means that the same output can be recreated if you have the same input and use the same software (in a "bit-identical" or "hashes match" way). First, whoever dumped the ROM from Nintendo Switch: there's various ways to do this ("bad dump", "good dump", and so on). Second, there's the version of Zstandard being used. The nsz program uses Zstandard/zst for compression, and in Facebook or meta's GitHub for Zstandard you can read in an issue page that zst is only deterministic by zst version. Meaning: older zst version with have same output per same input, but newer zst version will have different .zst output per that same input. Third, there's probably timestamps inside of ZST files, so if nsz includes that then it makes it less deterministic. Forth and lastly, different versions of nsz may make different output per same input and CLI command.
6. Hope. Possible solutions: (a) Try to find out more about when and who created this 3.630-TiB Nintendo Switch games torrent. (b) Perhaps these .nsz files were downloaded from an HTTP or web source, and those links may still be alive.

Why or in what way? Stuck at downloading metadata or content list not loading? I looked at the content list in qBittorrent webUI and that browser tab used 8.4GB of RAM, so if you don't have enough memory (me in the past) then I guess you can't selectively download it LOL.

How grateful? Outside of paying a crypto address or via ipfs (which you probably won't agree to) that's a bad idea; if there were two torrents for that, then instead of one semi-dead one you'd more likely get two totally dead ones. I could, however, share it with you for free via IPFS (I also don't really feel like making a torrent for this which is already in a torrent). The only source code in that torrent AFAIK:
