Don't be a douche. There is some one of a kind stuff out there that's worth waiting for. I'm on private trackers, the usenet, real debrid, and a few even more secret places, and I still have a few dozen ancient torrents that I'm waiting for an elusive seed to pop up.

nta but I'd do the same shit if the music was lost media everywhere else. I'm still trying to collect the entire discography of a band I like because they released all their EPs at select concerts only and no one has uploaded any copies to the internet so I have to wait around on buyee to see if some jap will sell what I'm looking for.

This. The stuff I leave running forever is lost media, possibly the last remaining copy anywhere. It's no skin off my nose to let it sit and wait. It's like anxiously awaiting a pterodactyl to fly over me, there's an exciting anticipation to wait for something that might go extinct if I don't grab it as soon as I see it. Waiting for a sleeping torrent to show up is more likely than a pterodactyl, and less fatal.
